Wicked video DUDE!!😉👍 I've put your Damping mod in my HD25s and it makes them KICK!! Bleave me!!! I'm an Oldskool DJ and play New Electro Now and I LOVE the difference!!! When I play in a club I mostly mix on headphones now cuz sometimes the monitors are Crap!??? LoL 😁🙄 Cheers Dude & keep up the great work!!!😉👍👊👊👊
I really want a pair. I feel like it wasn't too long ago that I was seeing them for fairly cheap but they seem to have gone up a chunk since then. I really don't need more headphones so I'll just stick to coveting Custom Cans
So it's actually possible to reuse old head band padding? Good to know. I'm pretty cheap, so after I painted mine I bought a roll of half-inch adhesive weather stripping foam. Not nearly as plush, but it works well enough.
@@CustomCans the ear cups turned out almost perfect first try, but the headband needed a lot of painting and sanding. Then again, I just used a can of Rustoleum hunter green
Yes, They did have an impressive reload time ;) I was covered in tiny red marks for the rest of the day but it was probably a good team building exercise ;)
@@CustomCans I think I’ll just stick with the sennheiser one. They’re all copper cables now shipping with the latest model ? I wonder if third party dealers are selling the copper cable.
The oyaide is a bit shorter and uses OCC copper. The rave master is primarily designed to be super strong and put up with DJ use, it is reinforced, uses normal OFC copper and has chunkier jack options.
Hello, I just bought a set of HD 25. I find the sound a bit warm (bassy) for a pair of headphones that is supposed to be neutral-ish. With a multimeter they measure at 60 Ohm (from the headphone plug), though the headband says 70 Ohm. Should I be worried they're fake?
HD25s need a bit of use before they sound their best - if they are new, I would leave them playing over night for a couple of nights to get the diaphragm nicely bedded in. They used to come with a steel cable, then newer ones have a copper cable so they measure a bit lower on the impedance. Most of them are around 64ohms but it can vary from unit to unit. There are fake ones out there and we did another video with some tips for spotting them
The sundaras are taking longer than expected to finish. We are doing a design in gold leaf on them and we ran out before they were done. Hopefully more gold will arrive tomorrow and we can have them back together Wednesday for filming. The queen thing was only on there for that day.
Hi, I currently have an issue with a HD25 driver. Connection issue solved by opening up and stretching the springs however, as soon as I play a loud bass the driver cuts out (top end is still there though) - any advice would be awesome on how to resolve this issue-thanks Simon
Sorry, that is not something I have seen before. It may be your driver is not the a out. I would try removing the grill and 1st check to see if there is anything on the inside that may be obstructing the diaphragm form moving like a crack in the grill or some some of the damping material inside that has moved around. Then I would take a look through the membrane and see if the voice could looks straight and is seated in the groove in the magnet correctly. While you are in there check for any sticky residue on anything, DJ headphones sometimes get drinks and things spilt on them when nobody is looking
I have already dismantled that headphone (removing the grill etc) but haven’t noticed anything unusual. I will have another go and see if I missed something - thanks for the help!
If you have the original HD25-1 from the 90's you have the top quality real deal ! These new HD25 are ok but nowhere near the quality of the HD25-1. So if you still have them from back in the 90s like I do, look after them !✌️👍
I love the HD25 that u paint , but I am trying all these years o find a Closed Back OVER EAR Headphone with that type of sound signature and that Bass and nothing :(
This was fine... Last week we purchased someone else's unfinished project drift car for James and I to work on. I had to drive it home 100 miles in the dark with torrential rain on drift tyres. I genuinely thought I was going to die a couple of times ;)
Love a more in depth description or even a tutorial for the cocktail stick thing please. My drivers slide all over the place.
I will try to make one soon.
I would like this as well!@@CustomCans
@@CustomCans Excellent video! I am also up for the sliding driver fix! Thank you! :)
First bit was the funniest video I've seen so far, love your content 👍
Thanks - I can be a bit of a slave driver so I think my team really enjoyed it too ;)
Thank you - this was very helpful.
Glad it was helpful!

Yes they hover between £109 and £129 here in the UK but the RRP of £129 has not changed for over a decade so they are pretty inflation beating

That is a clever idea - how did the painting go ?... I know from experience that it can be hard to get paint to stick to HD25s permanently

My Oyaide cable broke after 3 months ! Is that normal ? I’ve held back buying a new one.
I don't think so - we did sell the oyaid ones for a while and did not get any reports of issues

Do you know if Sennheiser HD600 cable will work with HD25 Light headphones?
Yes it will
hi. what is the diff between oyaide and your rawemaster v2?? thanks

Hello, do you know the size of the screw? help please !
I believe it is m2 x 8mm
Sweet vid, might get a hd25 just to try modding myself now.
Also what happened to the sundara mod, and the queen tribute vid?

Solved my problem with cutting out 💪Deffo my hair product! Also it makes my bald patch worse, can you fix that for me too? 🤣👍. Cheers for the vid

I have been meaning to make adapters for the HD25 to take larger pads for a while. I may do it this weekend
@@CustomCans WoW that was my dream , if u manage to make over ear pads without making them Mid Bass Canons ... Trust me it would be genius
Too bad Sennheiser stopped making the hd 8 dj’s! I think they sound very similar. I’m still using mine today and the hd 25’s as backup.
what screw is that? please help !
the small ones on the cable clamp are normally T6 unless it is a pair from before 2012, in which case they are philips numbr 1
