I have several small outboards from the 50s to the 70s that I'd buy flush plates for. Putting those 25 hp motors in a barrel is getting hard on my back. I bought your shift rod bushing removal tool last year and love it! I've already used it to reseal several lower units.

@@thisoldoutboard I have a 1976 25hp Johnson, a 1974 25hp Evinrude, a 1953 15 hp evinrude, a 1956 10hp johnson, and a 1972 6hp evinrude.
@@thisoldoutboard I saw your ebay listings. I think you might have some of your smaller cover listings wrong. I have a 10hp 1956 Johnson qd-17. According to my parts catalog, the bypass cover is part #302505 for that motor. That would be the bigger 5 inch cover you sell not the 3 inch one.

I am working on an affordable solution for a kit but the truth is one plate and garden hose adapter can service multiple motors so not everyone will want to buy a full kit.
Still beats having to fill up the trash can for testing out of the water.

how hard is it to install the fuel pump conversion i have a 5.5 like that its runs great but the tank is a pain in the butt id love to be able to put a modern fuel tank and line on it
My bypass cover plates (or any bypass cover plate) will not work for the 5.5 hp motors. The 5.5 hp motors are more involved to convert to a single line system. See the link below
