    Hello this is a great tutorial I just have one question. Are you using a dwarf/mini variety of water lily or can any water lily be used?
    Also what do you do when it rains? Do you put the pot under cover?

    • @SamyBros
      @SamyBros  Год назад

      Hey !
      We are growing Indian water lily which is accustomed to the climate of our region. You can grow any hardy water lily as it is easy to take care of.
      (I believe the Waterlily plant takes the shape of the pot used and usually doesn't outgrow it.)
      We let it be in the rain. if the pot is full because of it you can pour some of it out.

    what will the birds do ? what kind of problem ? i have lots of birds near the lanai i have my pot on. is any plastic pot ok? if a few lilly pads are dark brown do i cut them? if so where do i cut them?

      Heyy
      We realized that birds come to drink water usually but end up damaging the leaves😂.
      And some could even be trying to get the fish. Plastic i havnt tried, but you can sure let us know how it goes.
      You can let the brown drying leaves be or you could cut them at the middle of the stem. its purely an aesthetic choice
      Thank you!

    How will the fish live on itself? Can it get food from lily plants?

    • @SamyBros
      @SamyBros  Год назад +2

      The pond you will be setting up is basically a complete, self sustained ecosystem. The fish will feed on the algae, mosquito larvae, etc and other edible items in the pond!
      So as long you keep the water level stable, the fish will do very well.

    What size tub do you recommend? I don't want to go large.

    • @SamyBros
      @SamyBros  Год назад +1

      The size of the tub can be according to the space you have. As you might have seen in our video, we have one big one and a small one.
      Just make sure it is not too small.
      Around 75 cm diameter tub can be the minimum 👍🏼

    The plants supply oxygen for the fish?
    Meaning, no need for a water pump?

    • @SamyBros
