what i believe is that, marriage should not be looked at as such a burden, i understand it is a responsibility but making it sound so hard only encourages people to commit adultery & forget about marriage. Why is it so easy for people to get into a relationship but have to think 1000 times to get married... I think marriage is a solution to make people better, no one is ever going to be perfect, so if you want to get married, go for it the rest will come. Dont let the satan satan change ur mind
dina b I totally agree. We wasn't born perfect. We will not be perfect regardless. It's to love ourselves like God loves us.
I hate being single though. I feel like I am the only person on earth who never had a relationship. Even after watching this, I still feel the same way and I have a hard time trying to do things for God. I never been on dates, never been kiss by a guy, never receive flowers, and other stuff. Everybody around me has a boyfriend and some of my friends and people I know my age and under are engaged and already married and I am the only one who never experience anything and I am about to turn 24. I envy them so much, I wish I was them.
Baby girl, keep your head up. I know it is hard, trust me. I know it is very hard. But please continue to honor God no matter what season you are in. He has something very special for you and know that He is hiding you, you are so precious to Him. Never do you need to be envious of someone else's portion, that's their portion. Your portion is just for you and no one can live your life better than you can. God loves you, but He knows and sees the things that you do not. He is always close to the broken-hearted. Find refuge and take a cover in Him. Jesus is the best love story, the greatest romance anyone can ever have. Trust Him with your life, love.
I want share my personal story. All through my 20's and part of my 30's, I wasted A LOT of time listening to believers about WHY God haven't blessed me with a mate yet and what I needed to do to get one.
They said things like:
1.) God is waiting on you to be ‘Perfect’ first
2.) You need to pray and fast more; and then your husband will come
3.) If he ain't in the Apostolic church, he ain't saved; he ain't who God sent.
4). Show God you're serious and pay Him MORE than 10% tithes
5.) Don't let men know you're mutually interested; he will think you’re a Jezebel.
6.) Play hard to get and a man will see wife material in you
7.) You gotta pray for a husband (as if I never thought to do this)
8) Focus on Jesus and don't ever 'think' about a man and he will come
9). That's why you're not married, you've been ‘thinking’ about marriage; you can’t do that.
…. and the 10th dumbest thing I've heard was:
10). You fell into sexual sin now God’s going to have to start ALL BACK OVER. It make take another 10 years for God to disconnect your soul tie from this guy you slept with 2 weeks ago.
When I look back over my life (all of these stupid sayings happened when I was in the Pentecostal church) I often felt regretful that I didn't live my best life back then. I was actually abused. I was young and wanting to please God, so I did what I was told by older Christians. I didn’t have much guidance from my mom, so I catered to women in the church.
It's so good to have your own mind and common sense when you're young ladies. Satan can use people to steal your youth. At a time when you should have been married and enjoying life, you’re following the command of ignorant church folks and missing out on living. I could have BEEN married several times over if I hadn't followed their guidelines. Over the years, I found out that some of the same ones telling me what NOT to do…they had slept with, or shacked up with their husbands before they were married. Um!!
And even though now I’m 46, I feel good b/c I’ve claimed my life back years ago and I’m much happier. To date, I’ve had good jobs, a fairly good life, have a 20 year old beautiful daughter who’s about to graduate college with honors, I’m about to graduate college with honors also in April 2017 with my 2nd Master’s degree. I’m proud of my accomplishments. Yes, I could have been so much further along in life had I lived for myself back then, but I don’t dwell on, instead I move forward and keep being free
God bless. I know this was very long, but I hope my story helped somebody to seek God and live for themselves and NOT according to what church folks think is right for their lives.

I am still single at 26 and I am trying my best to honor God while everymone around me and family members are getting married, having children or being in a relationship. I just got my degree in animation for filmmaking with a minor in East Asian studies. I have an oppurtunity to intern at an animation studio in Tokyo, Japan. I am exited and hope me being in Japan will help me not think about finding love lol. Now I am even more concerned about finding love because I plan on living in Japan long-term and me being a Black person will be hard to find love in Japan according to other Black women who live/d in Japan. Like you said, I will continue to trust God with my love life. Btw, my name is Jazmyne too!

I really thank you for taking the time to make this video. I have come to the revelation that God can develop some amazing gifts and talents in a woman but that does not mean its for the purpose of marriage. God is an extravagant God and He allows us to have these gifts to please him. If a woman is to marry a man, that man will just get the overflow.

Well, Gods thoughts and ways are far above our thoughts and waves. Could it be that you wife is still not ready for you? Could it be that you are not ready for your wife? Keep in mind that a number of years passed from the time that God made the promise to him about have a son with his wife Sarah and the time when Isaac was actually born. My suggestion to you is to keep the faith. What God has promised you He will see to it that you get it! Be encouraged.

What are qualities? Qualities are the vital key components that you must know, practice and possess to have a happy, healthy, fun, strong and long lasting relationship. Now lets give it some thought. If you don't know qualities, you can't practice qualities and if you don't practice qualities, then you don't possess it. Now when you don't have qualities, how are you going to recognize that your partner or potential partner has qualities.

Off topic...this is just my personal experience, I wonder if the way I behave towards my mother reflects how I would behave towards my future wife. To get into specifics, its a lot of minor issues. I never yell at her or treat her badly, but through years of scrutinizing my behavior towards her I reflected upon myself. I used to cook my own dinner, and not even worry about her. I immediately fixed that. There are other things too

My problem is that I am ready for marriage. In every way. But, in everyone elses eyes, I am too young. So I am waiting for a few years even though I know I am ready to be with one person for the rest of my life.

I have to disagree. Because when u set out to create this flawless or fixed individuality u create a do not settle for less attitude. Life is just not that way. There are obstacles that come up that as a couple if that person handles them different than you do u start to see the individuals in each person. Those are the things that break up relationships. When two ppl start to disagree on how to handle a situation. The reason is that they don't see eye to eye. I think ppl should build together.
Pileus Storm totally agree. It's not the obstacles that breaks up a relationship it's how we deal with them. Equally yoke deals with our morals, values, how do things

OOOOH that's very sad. I am a single man and I really think that you feel hurt and lonely, but I hope you find the right man for you. The first thing that you should do is not to value man by object because most women do then they will regret it. Good question. Are you and he in agreement about the things that he needs to work on? If he thinks he has nothing to work on and you disagree with that, then you have your answer. Have you talked to him about the things that he needs to work on?

How do you know what to ask for when you are looking for a spouse?
Just start with understanding what you are looking for in a spouse and come up with questions that can be answered that will help determine if the person that you are dating has that quality. There is also a book that is called Intellectual Foreplay that has a ton of questions in it on various topics that will help you identify questions as well. I hope this helps.

One of the main problem why marriages fail is because of being unequally yoked,no Christ foundation in our own lives, or no true biblical approach to the created roles as it pertains to marriage. What the sis in video is saying definitely make sense. We all have to be spiritually ready as individuals in Christ before we can be ready for some one else or for some one else to be ready for us. This means working hard in Christ to overcome any and all past issues that will make for a disastrous marriage. Mathew 6:33 says it all. We have bad results when we don't do what this scripture says. Shalom!
Baby girl, you won't truly know what to look for until you get to know yourself: your strengths/weaknesses, likes, dislikes, gifts, abilities, can't stands, must haves in a mate, your goals, dreams,and aspirations. When you know more about your own self you'll then know what it is you want AND need in a mate to compliment these things.
