- Tsutomu Nihei is one of the most interesting sci-fi mangaka that exist today. His worlds are in dire straits, dark visions of an oppressive future that teach us about ourselves. Reading a Nihei manga is more akin to flipping through an artbook than anything else, and he truly makes a compelling case for manga’s potential as a black and white medium.

one of the best - Nihei's works stand along with the Ghost in the Shell / Appleseed / series. I dare to say he is heavily influenced by the dystopian views of Satoshi Kon, Hideaki Anno, and Hideaki Anno's workd.
For someone who doesn’t normally watch anime, I love knights of sidonia and mobile suit gundam series

I really wish the BLAME! OVA's turned into a real anime, though I understand why it didn't become one.
Probably the very very underrated best robot SciFI entire anime. I watch the movie and really mind blown how awesome the story ended. No wonder Hideo Kojima praise this anime. Probably the hidden gem that nobody know about this masterpiece

I love blame and KOS because i love that kind of anime and i love KOS because it was the first anime i really enjoyed i like mechs and battles so it was one of my fav

Ironic how Nihei’s fictional dystopian worlds are responsible for an actual dystopia where Polygon Pictures are given the most promising Sci-fi stories to “animate”.
