It’s so us crew members know what to use first eg beeping meats we use them first eg duty on fries that’s where we need to lift them up for a few seconds it’s just for us to have a gauge on what goes first
This was a great watch! Brings so much memories of my 3 years of service (as Theo puts it)! McDonald's is an incredibly underrated place to work with great people but it's long hours and customers that takes its toll. When I first started working there it was horrible for my mental state.. I would work 7/8 hours get home and sleep and dream about serving customers lol but then that faded away with time.
I always find comments like it’s customers that make it hard a shame, manners cost nothing and politeness is appreciated generally. No one has a right to be rude to you. Regardless of occupation.
@@mattswinnerton9892 the majority of customers are usually really nice and respectful but it only takes one person that’s either had a bad day, drunk or not in the mood to be disrespectful that can ruin your whole day/shift. (A but like receiving 100s of good comments online but it’s always the one bad comment that sticks with you 😂). But in general fast food workers do get more disrespect than other jobs and it’s maybe because they think only stupid people work there but for the majority of people I worked with they where either in higher education or it was their first job in the country before levelling up so from that stigma people think they can treat fast food workers with disrespect. And despite all of that you meet and work with the most down to earth and hard working people in places like McDonald’s
I think more people should read your comment and take note. If only there was a saying 🤔 something about judgement, and a book, like don’t judge until you read it. ….. no that’s not it. I maintain my earlier philosophy. Manners cost nothing and politeness is usually appreciated.
As an Uber driver, it looks like you guys go through hell. It annoys me so much to see (mainly foreign) drivers being impatient and rude to staff. Not saying it's all foreigners, some are the nicest people I've ever met, just an observation.
A lot of people rag on McDonald's. But my brother went through the management programme and after 6 years of working there he left and landed a decent job at Morrisons. Fast forward 5 years, he now works as senior management at the office.
as much as it would make sense to assign specific roles on the overnights, as someone who stopped working for Mcdonalds last year I can tell you all there's literally 3 people working overnight and we had to clean, cook and prepare the breakfast menu all at the same time as well as taking orders. Not fun 🙃😂
At my store theres only 2 people on overnight Shift Manager: Cleans front area, takes order, and business stuff Kitchenhand: Makes orders, cleans kitchen, does the dishes But its usually not busy after 12am
I’m Currently working at McDonald’s and I’m about to go from crew trainer to floor manager I’ve only been there a year or so, I was always put on front when I first started now I’m in kitchen a lot and run kitchens and honestly I love running kitchen, I like working fries which for McDonald’s workers is probably most people’s least favourite station, basically anywhere in kitchen and I’m happy. For anyone who’s looking for a job honestly apply to McDonald’s, it’s not for everyone but once you pick it up it’s a really good way to work your way up, I.e crew member to crew trainer. You meet some great people and you will learn so much about people skills, team work, hygiene. I love my job and I would recommend it to anyone if they were looking for a place of work.
I work in security for a high street shop and have a radio connected to the town centre CCTV control room and can hear other stores calling up, at least once a week I hear maccies asking for police assistance because kids are fucking around being twats. Last week there were 4 kids there vaping and fucking about with lighters, then refusing to leave when asked, police arrived kicked them out and all happy then 5 mins after they went the kids ran back in again and refused to leave. Honestly fair play to the maccies staff that work in town centre stores on the lates the amount of shit they must have to put up with in insane 🤦♂️
So I worked in McD was best job .... I did nights and the crew was all stoners we used to have everything done closed half an hour before closing We used to go out the back smoke loads of weed and then go to the freezer and eat the chocolate brownies and put them on the waist The amount of food I used to make in that place is crazy. Like the best one is a double cheeseburger with a filet fish pate in it. Or we used to get the middle of the Big Mac buns and we used to put cheese and bacon and a burger in it and then crush it in the Big Mac toaster That was nice! It was fun times change..
This is such a fat lie 🤣🤣 the brownies aren't edible when they're frozen, and they'd be defrosted before being put out for sale and the freezer stock of brownies would be accounted for on the close and also on the open. So you'd be caught straight away, and it obviously wouldn't be "food waste"
@@Ben-lk9rq ok Pedro lol if u think so funny thing is why would I need to lie . Trust me you can eat it.. and fella food waste was a thing back in the day.. this was like 15 years ago lol again why would I lie.. YOU WOULD BELIEVE SOME OF THE THING THAT GOES ON THERE... LMAO
@@Regigie I'm not stupid, I've been a manager for well over 3 years. I know what goes down, and I know that something like that wouldnt be able to happen, unless your closes and opens were ran by absolute mongs
@@Ben-lk9rq lol I don't know what goes down then.. I'm talking back in the day when you had a good bin where the food was cooked made up box and KEEPED worm and could only be stored for 10 min man I'm old probably why they changed it save on waste
That’s a negative in my store you have to cook serve clean if you’re jobs aren’t done in time then you have to stay back and finish them regardless if it was busy etc
No no no no I’m currently a crew trainer in McDonald’s and the system is the same all the crew have to clean from 9-5 9pm to 5 am then breakfast change over comes in it’s hetic
anyone remember that indian special they did 2 or 3 years ago? was like a chicken pitta with cucumber and mango sauce, was peng. Bloody love a filet o fish n all, big fish finger sarny innit
We had a woman come through every morning for a plain muffin nothing on for her dog. Had to charge her for a ice cream cone. Was glad when she had to put her dog down she done my head in.
The one thing I can’t get out my head from working in McDonald’s..is the beeping noise, if you know….you know.
Still hear it when I'm tryna sleep sometimes. Everything in there beeps. Everything
😂😂
@@johnpower1567 it never leaves you. I’ve accepted that now. In those famous words…I’m loving it

I just started work there and I keep having dreams where my bedroom changes to the drinks section haha
Nothings more badass than when the over night crew comes in at about 11:30 it’s like a scene from the peaky blinders
Wrong time
Pure flashbacks from this! Most people who talk about Maccies talk out their arse, but this is spot on
I can confirm uber eats makes thing a lot harder on a busy night shift, the sound managers would just turn deliveries off for a bit though
At my store when we get the good managers, sometimes we unplug the tablet with the uber orders, so we dont receive extra orders, makes life easier

theres a documentary about the mcdonalds monopoly scandle its called McMillions
McDonald’s needs to close at 10pm.
McDonald’s in most towns are treated like a nightclub with Doorman….which is the saddest thing ever.
Agree but only if there's no drive thru.
last week we had a order of 7 fillet fish and everyone was just like what the fuck is this order
completely fucked up the line
