One thing that many people do not realize or didn't pay attention was that he said 'he INTENDS' on resigning after a nation wide campaign to elect a new Leader of the Party ... that means, that he will remain PM until March, then as Interim Leader until a new person is elected ... which could go on until the official Federal election in October 2025. That's what this means. We are certainly not rid of him yet and he has much time to do more damage.
The resignation of Trudeau, and the election of new leader in the party, and continuing of the present government, will postpone the elections, maybe to the actual date in October/November. Secondly, there maynot be much improvement in the bilateral ties between Canada 🇨🇦 and India, because the countries are poles apart, and do not have much trade between them. Coming to the Khalistanis issues, even Polivere didn't say anything on the topic, when the issue was going on, which means, the issue will continue in future as well, the end of which seems to be quite long. The only problem will be with the temporary residents & international students from India, majority of whom, may have to return to India. And the new batch of such persons will be reduced, as Polivere is against immigrants. Hence, status quo will continue.
