Wonderful lecture. Thank u for uploading this. I do have one question, though. Swamiji said that women must be protected by men throughout their lifetime like the President is protected by bodyguards. But has this ever happened in the positive sense that Swamiji explains it? I have seen fathers not taking care of daughters, husbands not taking care of wives and sons not taking care of mothers. The meaning of that particular shloka from Manusmriti seems too utopian, given that many men are apathetic. Sadly, it also excludes those who have no fathers, husbands and sons. I do not intend to refute what Manu said, nor do I suspect the good intention. But it sounds too impractical and dreamy. I am sure every woman discovers at some point in her life that, good men in life are her greatest blessing. But such men seem to be rare. Every woman wishes to have such wonderful men, who will treat her well, love and respect her, take care of her - trust me. But such fathers, husbands and sons are rarer than the rarest. That is also a reason for all this mess. It is not the outside influence that has infected our culture, but probably because our culture lost its immunity and that is why outsiders could corrupt our culture. It seems that all the bodyguards have gone astray, lost their minds, didn't take care of the presidents and now the president has to take care of himself/herself. Om Hari
I think it's being told in the ideal sense. The world outside is running in the wrong direction as you said and if there is an intention to make it in the right direction we all must put our minds together which is sadly not happening.
