    Come on dude 0-60 in 7 seconds is fine for like 99% of this car's buyers. Who the hell needs a 0-60 time of 4 seconds in a damn Audi Q3?

    • @ApurtureSci
      @ApurtureSci 4 года назад +4

      Absolutely. I know the marketplace different in the US, but the majority of these sold in Europe have the 1.5 TSI or 2.0 TDI with 150hp (6 speed manual as standard).

      I do. The SQ 5 is also a let down for those looking for a performance vehicle. Some of us have vehicles that do 0-60 under 4 seconds and when looking for a new vehicle don't want to downgrade

    Had a Q3 loaner with the sline, I was thoroughly impressed. I'd def choose it over Q5 and a lot of other cars. Q3 is essentially a car which is why I loved it (I'm not much of a suv guy, mostly cus they're heavy and clumsy).

    • @MugatuJag
      @MugatuJag 2 года назад

      Same here, I have a Q3 loaner premium as my BMW is getting some bodywork, it drives comfortably, it’s reasonably quiet, but the gas mileage is horrible, and in the premium trim I like that you get a panoramic sunroof, but the lack of a proximity key and touch button start is just unacceptable. The key looks very similar to my key on my 1998 Audi A6 that I had two decades ago LMAO The BMW X1 is much more efficient and faster, but does not even offer Blindspot monitoring, nor does the premium trim but you can get it on higher trims of the Q3. I think the 2023 BMW X one is going to be amazing, front end looks great, the back end will probably grow on me, so many choices these days though

      Yes, the Q3 gets the participation trophy. Wish they would tune that engine to some more HP which would better justify the lackluster fuel economy. Unfortunately, competition is so weak in the compact CUV segment, with most of the Asian crossovers offering no optional engine, that Audi can get away with offering something just a little better, and it gets interest.

      I agree... bad MPG ratings. My 2018 MDX has the same ratings as this, but it's a V6 and obviously much bigger. Design and ride-wise, I think Audi did a good job with this vehicle compared to last gen. I will say that after driving one of these and a Q5 back-to-back... it's a far cry from the Q5, despite being very similar in size. The Q5 is definitely a class above.

We Cross shopped the Q3 against the Lincoln Corsair and the Corsair is larger (exterior and interior) more luxurious, has a more powerful engine, takes Regular gas, and more tech features....for the same price. Yes, my wife decided on the Corsair because she wanted a Luxury SUV and she is not a brand snob. Again, she was leaning very strongly towards the Q3, but thought the Q3 was too small and more of a sub-compact, than a compact SUV. Tech and gas type aside, the Q3 just did not feel as premium, luxurious and stylish as she had hoped for; especially after sitting and driving the Lincoln Corsair.

      DanielSangster Good to know VR6 gets good mileage. I like the sound of VR6 - smooth and refined. But with a Turbo, if you drive aggressive, then you will burn a lot of fuel because in turbo, it has low end torque which helps speed up quickly to takeover, passing powers in highway and great support for high altitude. It is nice to have low end torque. It is peppier to drive. If you drive smart and understand turbo better in time, you may beat epa easily. 👍

    Doesn’t this car outweigh the GTI by about 900 lbs? That would account for the gas mileage.

    Hmmm. I mean, it’s to small to be really useful for people or stuff. Gas mileage sucks. It looks okay. I don’t see why you wouldn’t buy a car or hatchback in this case. If you went with the 5 or 7, I’d get it. But this is kind of small and useless.

    • @lemon4400
      @lemon4400 4 года назад

      You can just turn it off. There is an issue with Audi start/stop in that the car might go into limp mode seemly randomly when accelerating as the engine tries to turn off. Restarting the engine fixes it, but it’s a scary thing to suddenly happen. You’re better off just turning off this feature.

    2020 Q3 S-Line.....Reading the comments and I couldn't disagree more. Great design overall, yes. However, poor handling/highly unstable (a tall GTI it is not), poor fuel economy, slushy transmission, Apple car play only works sporadically, god awful noises and clanks on start up. One year of ownership and 7,000 miles...my gf is handing it back in.

      And getting to 60 half a second faster...

    • @DMCarReviews
      @DMCarReviews 4 года назад

      @@tim3172 The RDX isn't faster than this car, unfortunately. Gas ratings are all really relative. 0-60 is also a useless measure once below 7 seconds. It's about the cars passing power, response, and engine elasticity. Many brands seem to focus on 0-60 from launch, and putting best magazine numbers, but it's absolutely irrelevant for everyday driving.

      Seriously?) Q3 is faster than rav4, can easily go the same "off-road" as rav4 and the touchscreen will never glitch. And of course the handling of Q3 is way better than that of rav4.
      The only advantage of rav4 is its size.
