Absolutely. I know the marketplace different in the US, but the majority of these sold in Europe have the 1.5 TSI or 2.0 TDI with 150hp (6 speed manual as standard).
I do. The SQ 5 is also a let down for those looking for a performance vehicle. Some of us have vehicles that do 0-60 under 4 seconds and when looking for a new vehicle don't want to downgrade
ApurtureSci That’s absolutely reasonable. I rented an A3 in Europe with the 1.5 and it was plenty quick, it never sold in North America with a gas engine and I can see why.
Just get the turbo Mazda CX5 at this point. 250hp/310lbs torque using premium, 22 city/27 highway, not to mention msrp is $35k for reserve trim and $37k for signature trim.
Definitely a better value than this Q3, although people buying something like a Q3 care and only care about true luxury crossovers. People can be really big badge-snobs.

Same here, I have a Q3 loaner premium as my BMW is getting some bodywork, it drives comfortably, it’s reasonably quiet, but the gas mileage is horrible, and in the premium trim I like that you get a panoramic sunroof, but the lack of a proximity key and touch button start is just unacceptable. The key looks very similar to my key on my 1998 Audi A6 that I had two decades ago LMAO The BMW X1 is much more efficient and faster, but does not even offer Blindspot monitoring, nor does the premium trim but you can get it on higher trims of the Q3. I think the 2023 BMW X one is going to be amazing, front end looks great, the back end will probably grow on me, so many choices these days though
I was debating between the top of the line technics package of q3 and the top signature cx5 , test drove both extensively back to back many times, the cx5 turbo was very responsive and smooth transmission and felt much more linear and powerful, the Audi hesitated at stop signs and the transmission is not at all immediate , went with the cx5 , extremely happy
that gas milage is so poor and idk i feel like the q3 just has no like pizazz nothing special just like it checked the boxes but didn't go above and beyond
Yes, the Q3 gets the participation trophy. Wish they would tune that engine to some more HP which would better justify the lackluster fuel economy. Unfortunately, competition is so weak in the compact CUV segment, with most of the Asian crossovers offering no optional engine, that Audi can get away with offering something just a little better, and it gets interest.
I agree... bad MPG ratings. My 2018 MDX has the same ratings as this, but it's a V6 and obviously much bigger. Design and ride-wise, I think Audi did a good job with this vehicle compared to last gen. I will say that after driving one of these and a Q5 back-to-back... it's a far cry from the Q5, despite being very similar in size. The Q5 is definitely a class above.
The interior by itself is 10000x better than most of its competition, especially Lexus, Infiniti and most of the non european cars. Really only Mercedes beats it.

DanielSangster Good to know VR6 gets good mileage. I like the sound of VR6 - smooth and refined. Lmao what (referring to the title)? From what I recall, it had extremely vague and light steering like all larger non-sport Audis, steering wheel was huge making it feel a bit clumsy, and everything in general was comfort-oriented...?
Hmmm. I mean, it’s to small to be really useful for people or stuff. Gas mileage sucks. It looks okay. I don’t see why you wouldn’t buy a car or hatchback in this case. If you went with the 5 or 7, I’d get it. But this is kind of small and useless.
I test drove this and loved it, except for the start/stop. It’s egregious. Killed the entire car for me. For a luxury brand, they need to figure that out a little more.
You can just turn it off. There is an issue with Audi start/stop in that the car might go into limp mode seemly randomly when accelerating as the engine tries to turn off. Restarting the engine fixes it, but it’s a scary thing to suddenly happen. You’re better off just turning off this feature.
2020 Q3 S-Line.....Reading the comments and I couldn't disagree more. Great design overall, yes. However, poor handling/highly unstable (a tall GTI it is not), poor fuel economy, slushy transmission, Apple car play only works sporadically, god awful noises and clanks on start up. One year of ownership and 7,000 miles...my gf is handing it back in.
hmmm i thought nice sharp lined styling (especially the shoulders), wheels at all 4 corners, very attractive. Not swoopy like the Lexus, Miranos, and doesn't look like an espresso machine like some Toyotas do
i don't - i found it very interesting and engaging. Particularly since I am interested in this model, but having trouble justifying the sticker when comparing to the CX5, or the Rogue (2021) even with the X2. I think the best benefit of this car is that it uses regular gas.

You mentioned a Rav4 in the comparison, if you trading in a 2015 Rav4.. yes.. its an upgrade.. a 2020.. You'd be laughed at.. its much smaller and slower, can't go off-road, you'd only be getting better touchscreen, and even that might start going blank and have glitches in 2 years.
Knockout Jenkins Seriously?) Q3 is faster than rav4, can easily go the same "off-road" as rav4 and the touchscreen will never glitch. And of course the handling of Q3 is way better than that of rav4. The only advantage of rav4 is its size.

I test drove this and loved it, except for the start/stop. It’s egregious. Killed the entire car for me. For a luxury brand, they need to figure that out a little more.
Joshua Smith can’t you turn it off? You can on the A4
You can just turn it off. There is an issue with Audi start/stop in that the car might go into limp mode seemly randomly when accelerating as the engine tries to turn off. Restarting the engine fixes it, but it’s a scary thing to suddenly happen. You’re better off just turning off this feature.
Nice vid
I'd also like to see an RS Q5, the SQ5 is a let down in the performance department
Is road noise that bad? Is it the tires?
The RSQ3 is not in the works it’s already been unveiled in Europe.
Can you please review 2021 Audi Q3?
2020 Q3 S-Line.....Reading the comments and I couldn't disagree more. Great design overall, yes. However, poor handling/highly unstable (a tall GTI it is not), poor fuel economy, slushy transmission, Apple car play only works sporadically, god awful noises and clanks on start up. One year of ownership and 7,000 miles...my gf is handing it back in.
What car would you get 2021 GLA or 2020/21 Q3?
Any plans to review the Q8?
Do you think you could get your hands on the new Range Rover SVAUTOBIOGRAPHY LONG WHEELBASE? I’d love to see a long review on this car!
At 10:52 did you take a break and resumed a while after?
what would you say is the sportiest SUV under 40k?
Still looks like a dune buggy
hmmm i thought nice sharp lined styling (especially the shoulders), wheels at all 4 corners, very attractive. Not swoopy like the Lexus, Miranos, and doesn't look like an espresso machine like some Toyotas do
Anybody knows which dash cam is he using? White color one. I would like to buy one. Thanks.
SO what about the BMW X1? why did you just compare it to the X2?
1:36 he compared it to the X1
That's what we're here to find out...
This is pretty much what the Tiguan R-line should have been. Of course VW is marketed against itself in the Audi line. So sad.
Most car buyers don’t care about performance
Rumours of introducing a sportback? It was already introduced months ago
the rumor is whether or not itll come to america
Is this better than Acura RDX?
when you going to get your hands on the new g80
Nice SUV
Seems like you didn’t even want to review this car lol
i don't - i found it very interesting and engaging. Particularly since I am interested in this model, but having trouble justifying the sticker when comparing to the CX5, or the Rogue (2021) even with the X2. I think the best benefit of this car is that it uses regular gas.
I don’t like the rims 🤷🏽♀️. I’ve been shopping around and theirs this one and the boomerang ones
I don’t like the front of the car but the back is fine
Why are people so hung up on 0-60 times? Most vehicles in this price range are fully capable of safely passing cars!
Exactly! This car does under 7s all day long. He just says says times which he read somewhere. He should have just gotten a dragy and timed it.
Because it's relative.
The RDX has 45 more horsepower and 28 more lb-ft while getting +3 city and +1 highway MPG
And getting to 60 half a second faster...
@@tim3172 The RDX isn't faster than this car, unfortunately. Gas ratings are all really relative. 0-60 is also a useless measure once below 7 seconds. It's about the cars passing power, response, and engine elasticity. Many brands seem to focus on 0-60 from launch, and putting best magazine numbers, but it's absolutely irrelevant for everyday driving.

Acura RDX doesn't compete with this and Is quicker 0 to 60. I own one, although Acura says 5.7 0 to 60, I haven't replicated that. I've done 6.1 where I live which is faster than this.
@@jacobbrigl5428 I don't know where you are seeing 5.7s, the RDX 2.0T is at the very best 6.6s, as tested.

An RSQ? I think that in order to be alphabetically correct they should make it a QRS. And since it will be a turbo, maybe the QRST.
well they already have the sq5 and so on and so forth so the ship has sailed
It does look generic like a Volkswagen. Many reviews of people complaining about leaky sunroofs, malfunctioning electronics and poor gas mileage in most of Audi models not just here in America but also across the world. As Scotty would say, it's an endless money pit.
Isaac Kamau Q3 and A3 is entry level cheapest one so won’t feel that upscale until A4, Q8, A6
Another Audi Q3!
It only needs regular gas
I'll stick with the Q5...it's much bigger.
I dont know about that dash. Especially that orange trim..
Idk why audi is so forgettable
Audi needs total transformation.
Knockout Jenkins
Seriously?) Q3 is faster than rav4, can easily go the same "off-road" as rav4 and the touchscreen will never glitch. And of course the handling of Q3 is way better than that of rav4.
The only advantage of rav4 is its size.
Trading a 2006 Rav4, the q3 feels like a baby brother of the q8!
SUVs......not my thing but most drivers like them for some reason.
More versatility .
