Ashnikko is so good and genuine for making songs to release rage on abusers. I found home in her music as I am a survivor of sexual abuse in our own home. The trauma destroyed my entire identity and self-esteem but Ash gave me hopes that I'm a strong person to stay alive fighting my inner demons and be confident with my true identity. Thank you so much for making songs and being our representative at times that we feel so weak.

I have listened to grimes longer than I have listened to Ash, and while I do think that Grimes has held this type of style for a while now, we also have to remember that artists get inspired by other artists! Some styles of music and music videos are unique and something you might not see very often, but I think it’s very wrong to say that Ash copied Grimes. Nobody can sit here and say “only Grimes can have this style” because that’s not true at all. I do not know what this song is about, but for me it seems about killing a part of yourself that doesn't serve you anymore. The weak, scared, pessimist and self conscious version of yourself, who keeps bringing you down and not allowing you to move forward. I love that metaphor, separating yourself from your mental disease can help you overcome it.
for me this songs feels like taking revenge of someone that thought you were weak and that never really wanted to know you or only knew the surface of yourself,mocking you for who you are,what you suffered,maybe who you've been too,and who's around you. After the "hybernation" where you gave that person all the space they needed,you just feel reborn but in a bad,wrong way,where you start to realize you've been exploited for literally no reason,and start feeling betrayed,as the line "you no friend of mine",and probably won't have mercy,so mad you calculate it as a simulation,or celebrate this event your theory is really nice too :)

I think I get what u mean? Like she isn't wearing much but it is self possessed and obviously not pandering to the male gaze. She also is in a position of capability and power in most videos so there's less of a sense of objectification. She also is in a position of capability and power in most videos so there's less of a sense of objectification.
