@TheMuslimLantern Thank you for this answer but how about the Muslims that went to Al Habasha and converted to Christianity. When they returned some of them converted back to Islam and some of them didn't but they were not punished. I always understood the few people that got punished leaving Islam was because they also left the Muslim army to join the enemy. This is even punishable in all countries to this day. Can you please clarify this for me.

@@AmicableAgnosticIn Islamic state no one is allowed to publicly announce that he has left Islam. You can keep it private, state will not care. Reason for this is: Islamic state constitution is Qur'an and Sunnah of the Prophet. Publicly renouncing Islam is like announcing renegading against community which disturbs social cohesion of the community. So Apostacy law is applied to prevent such things from happening.
@@AmicableAgnostic purpose of Apostacy law is preserve Islamic values in society as the state is based on Islam. So why do you think it's necessary for a person to come out in public about his Apostacy. Just keep it to yourself. As I said since constitution is based on Islam, publically announcing your Apostacy is like rebelling against the state itself. In today's countries it's akin to saying publicly I renounce the citizenship of this country and refuse to follow constitution. When you do this state will crack down upon you.
@@AmicableAgnostic so this shows you don't know about Islamic Apostacy law... Look I want to start with saying I understand where you coming from. Because your paradigm is different. Every ideology values it's ideology more than other and wants to limit or restrict competing values from replacing it. Example: liberals don't say just because we preach liberalism so we should allow all other preachings. They don't allow Nazism to be preached. They will censor it. Isn't that restricting their freedom. Look what happened to Kanye West. Every ideology has defined boundaries and if you cross that they will censor you or sometimes even punish you. In France Religious institution are not allowed to say LGBTQ is sin. If anyone complains their funding will be stopped. Isn't that restricting freedom? And for your info if you apostate from Islam and leave Islamic state then state will not follow you and kill you. This has happened during times of Prophet and his companions. They had left Islamic state and so they were not punished. Whoever wants to remains in the Islamic state has to respect it's values and whoever publicly renounces Islam will be considered traitor to the community. Islamic state wants to preserve its values and people leaving Islam or encouraging others to leave Islam will threaten it's power structure. Every state does this. When their power structure is threatened they will clamp down on you, censor you or arrest you. This is to preserve their Authority and social cohesion.
@@michaelmalzahn-tx2zi You do realize that Islam teachings and dawah exist in every country in the world today, right? Because today, Islam can reach all nations peacefully and people aren't denied access to it by any government. So, nowadays if anyone wants to learn about Islam they can simply do so.
Why does this clear it up? I still do not understand it. I converted to Islam and only found out about this later. My family respected my choice of faith and I am allowed to practice and express it authentically. I wish everyone would have this right, including my own children. It is something that would prevent me from wanting to live in an Islamic country for fear of persecution to non-Muslims. Muslims who die for their faith are martyrs, it is a noble thing to do when persecuted and our faith is strong to do it. It is considered a good thing. What about someone that was born into Islam? They didn't choose to be muslim so how can they know if that person really "left" islam when in reality they were never truly muslim
Hello Brother, the word "Muslim" means "a follower" of God. Now, in Islam, everyone is born a Muslim, in a state of "fitra" which means natural or original disposition - that's why anyone who accepts Islam is called a REvert. Those whose parents have made them a fully fledged Muslim, if they wish to leave, the same ruling applies BUT ONLY if that person has reached the age of discernment (not needing adult assistance). This only applies in a Sharia state.
What is stopping you from saying more than 33 times tahmid tasbih and takbir 34 times. It is only in times of after fardh and before you sleep that these limits are specified. Their may be more that I'm not aware of.

The verse of "There is no compulsion in Islam" is a profound one which sadly even Muslims don't understand. The verse following it says, "Truth is clearly separated from error" by which Allah emphasizes the "Choice of Free will", logically. So whether before Islam or after it, there is no compulsion at all! Because whoever chooses to follow error has only committed injustice to their own self. So as the verse said "No compulsion at all!!"
Keep in mind however that 2:256 has been abrogated (Allah sends better verses, which he explains in the Quran) by verses revealed later in Surah 9 - this is explained clearly by all the important Islamic scholars in the tafsirs (else the Quran would also contradict itself), and most imams should tell you this if they have read Islamic sources. All you need to do is refer to one of the great Islamic scholars like: Ibn Kathir says "But, this verse is abrogated by the verse of "fighting...Therefore, all people of the world should be called to Islam. Why does Islamic society need to be protected? If it really is God’s religion, then it is pretty weak to be threatened by some guy with internet access.
@@farihasumaiya I got a question, first of all, I’m a complete ignorant and a lot of people knows more than me that’s why I’m asking. Isn’t Allah the one who decides who’s able to really see? Then wouldn’t it mean that if a person leaves Islam, it’s actually Allah who decides who is gifted with the capacity of seeing the truth? Isn’t Allah the judge that will judge them and punish them when their time comes? If we are certain about what we follow it’s the truth, what’s the issue of people that are dubious on leaving Islam for being influenced by others? Maybe that’s the way it should be and people that are not genuinely Muslim, are condemned to leave because of their weak faith. If an Apostate is killed, wouldn’t it mean that we are taking away from this person the opportunity to in a future, reverting back to Islam again and maybe that journey is something that made their faith stronger? I saw a video on someone explaining that people don’t understand the CONTEXT in which those Hathids were written, because being an APOSTATE nowadays is not the same as being an APOSTATE at those times, where leaving Islam didn’t only mean that you changed your faith, but actually meant that this person might join the enemy tribe with whom they were in constant war and persecution, and maybe reveal secrets that will give an advantage to the enemy in case of war. So it didn’t mean a threat to the religion but a threat to the lives of others. And maybe that’s the reason why THIS law is different to men, and women? Knowing that in terms of faith, there is no difference between men and women in order to go to jannah? And I’m not even talking about the “there should not be any compulsion in religion” which I believe it’s very important. And something related to this; If when a non Muslim decides to join Islam, is not said that he is CONVERTING, but instead he is REVERTING. Meaning that he once was Muslim, wouldn’t it mean that even a person that is a non Muslim, can be considered to as an ex Muslim?
@@Sammuel.98 1- allah decides who to see, and he lets the people who wants to see to see 2- second notice that these laws are only in sharia countries? Do you know that there is no sharia country in the world? So if a sharia country existed, there wouldn’t be influence to make you leave the religion 3- if someone left the religion in a sharia country, they will talk it to him and explain his misconceptions, allah said that no one who has a pure soul would learn about his religion fully and still deny it, they did then they know its the truth deep down, so they are guilty, and notice that is about non muslims, becoming an ex muslim is even harder than just simply denying islam without ever joining it 4- the apostate law only includes people who admit it publicly, which means these people want to cause fitnah, and weaken the faith of others, before the apostate law was given to us in islam, the hypocrites started leaving islam on the night and joining it on the morning, this spreading a fitnah and made people leave and join islam even on stomping their toe 5- “there is no compulsion in religion doesn’t mean religion is a joke, and you can’t punish an apostate who us secretly one, which means this law is specifically for the public ones And furthermore, some statements aren’t for every situation, if jesus said “i love everyone” does that mean he loves bad people? 6- the reason a none muslim isn’t considered an apostate is because he was changed by his parents, which means he didn’t become an ex with his will
In other words, being a hypocrite and lying all your life is absolutely fine. Being honest and having courage to ask questions is punishable by death. Thanks, that actually explains quite a lot of what I've seen among Muslims.

If you say the Adhaan you make Shaytaan leak serious gas. Muhammad: If you say “bismillah" Satan won’t eat your food. (Riyad as-Salihin 731)
Basically, if you choose Islam, there's no undo button. In democracy, you can change your choices. You don't have to forever live with bad choices. One of the reasons why I see apostasy punishment as a big problem in any religion. It's is like entering a to a jail on your own accord to lose your freedom.
What I think is that Islam is really serious about the image it has, and that MAY BE one of the reasons you don't have the undo button, Islam says no hurry, do research and see if it is true and when you are pretty sure, then accept it. If you say, what if something about Islam comes in my knowledge afterwards, I would say that no one will accept Islam based on the micro details, see the basic ideology and if you believe that is true, anything else can be resolved. Also a reason for this law is that there were people in Madina who had this habit of becoming Muslim in the morning and then going back in evening so to weaken the Muslim community (it is in the Quran) and that is what Islam prevents, lowering the morals of society and as MA said that making a excuse for doing the sins in Islam. I guess it is clear
@freepalestine3383 hahahha well some crazed man will . Apostasy is a murder sentence mate. Islam says take his head off so what you gonna do about that.its sharia
Just a question, what if India, China or other Christians countries enact similar apostasy law preventing, have capital pusnishment for non Muslim to convert to Islam to reciprocate similar law in Islam…then how those people can become Muslim???
This us how we must learn to give dawah. No watering down, mocking, nor forcing . Just gently speaking the truth with common sense n wisdom. May Allaah grant me the knowledge

So wait, you can lie otherwise choose to be punished. Weren't prophets characteristics was saying true whatever the situation is. So why can't a honest person, say he doesnt believe anymore?
If you leave Islam, lying should be the least of your worries, you already guaranteed yourself hellfire, lying wouldn't change that. Lying for wordly things of course, would still get you punished in this world. So there's no issue in this reasoning, if an honest person chooses to say he left Islam, it's on him.
If you leave Islam but don’t tell anyone and still keep the outward appearance of being Muslim, there is no punishment according to a very strong opinion. As long as you’re not causing trouble by publicizing your apostasy, in other words.
@@pessimistkai5569 the truth about what? No one is asking a person if they are Muslim. If they offer the information that they have left Islam and remain upon this, and it is the truth, then the punishment is implemented. I don’t really understand what “telling the truth” has to do with it. No one is demanding that anyone lie. But there are severe punishments for those who publicly leave Islam under Shariah.

2:12 How is it a choice if you were born into and grew up in a Muslim family? When does a person like that make a choice to enter Islam? 4:21 So if someone asks you why you stopped praying, fasting, etc and you tell them you don't believe in Islam anymore, how in the world is that incitement?
If you are born a muslim, which means you are born on your natural disposition, and since these laws only work in a sharia country, it means you probably will be taught about the religion properly, then you probably won’t have misconceptions about it, if they had, then they should ask about them, So yea he already entered islam before birth The reason people who are born on other religions are ok is because they were born muslims but changed by their parents On the other hand a one who isn’t changed by his parent is a muslim
On the second point, if its his secret then save it, the apostate law, the zina law, and other laws like that are actually put to stop the action from being normalized or spread, so you need four witnesses to it Which means if you saw people do zina, you can’t tell the government about them unless three other witnesses saw them too Which means only the ones who will publicly admit and want to cause fitnah will get punished And this applies to apostasy too

What a flawed argument made by Ali ! 😅 Democracy is a government of the people, by the people and for the people and law is not based on any religious books where as in Shariah law is based on the religious book. In democracy the law is made upon after discussion, voting and thorough research whereas in Shariah it is straight away implemented in the society. Also as this apostasy law will be implemented in a shariah state, obviously there will be majority Muslims. Then if a Muslim leaves Islam, he will be easily caught because if he choose to leave Islam, he will stop following Islamic practices such going for prayer, fasting, etc. and thus his close known ones (friends, family, co workers, etc.) will ask him and he has to say. Then how one can leave Islam silently behind close doors. Also, by Ali logic, it's better to be a Munafiq in the shariah state than to be a open disbeliever of Islam. So 3 options are if one choose to leave Islam in Sharia state :- 1. Leave Islam silently which is not possible in Shariah state. 2. Be a Munafiq after false repentence. 3. Get death sentence.
your 2nd point is not coinciding with the reason of leaving Islam. a person can only leave Islam if he does not believe in islam. so according to him there is no hereafter, there is no Allah there is no judgment day and hence he can leave Islam happily without worrying hereafter etc.. therefore your 2nd point is only true when he leaves islam inspite of knowing that Islam is true ... 😊 peace 🕊️
Your family, co-workers etc are not obliged to tell the authorities. In fact they are encouraged to hide your sins. Prayer can be done at home, not praying 5 times at the mosque isn't adequate reason enough to assume a person has left Islam. In regards to Fasting (and also prayer) you can simply not do it and say whatever reason you want as (taking a popular opinion here) leaving prayer doesn't invalidate a person's Islam. There is also a counter opinion to this but even that states, to my understanding, that you cannot know truly if a person does not pray (maybe he prays when you're not around etc). There are realistically a lot of apostates in Muslim countries at this very moment just living their lives. There is also the debate that born Muslims without proper religious knowledge don't fall into this unless they have at some point accepted Islam after having understood it. Also on your point about democracy, a Muslim state can demand their constitution be written based on the Quran and the Sunnah. They aren't literally being governed by a book. It is an agreed upon set of principles similar to any other democratic constitution in the world.

This Apostasy law is NOT in the Quran & it was NEVER carried out by the prophetﷺ. This law is in the hadith and widely challenged. Historically, this law was specifically for Muslims who joined the oppressor and opposing forces against Islam in order to explain to them that, in this case, they may be killed when met on the battlefield.
The U.S. Constitution had the 3/5 clause, that a black person was worth only 3/5 of a white person. So because I believe in democracy, I should be okay with this? This is a very bad arguement. Also, lot of people are born into Islam, because their parents are Muslim. So why should there be a death penalty for leaving, when they never joined Islam by choice? What about people born into Islam, they didn't choose to be Muslim, so they get killed for leaving too? How is that fair? Oh... so they if they leave, they have a few days to decide to lie and say they are Muslim, and if they don't, they killed themselves? What type of evil nonsense is this? And ofc you will figures out they aren't Muslim anymore. When they not longer praying 5 times a day, you think people won't notice? So they can't talk about them leaving Islam, but they can talk about them converting to Islam? Like what type of one sided ideology is this? Is this fair? I never heard of someone leaving a religion and starting a riot because of that, please list one example of this place, like what type of strawman arguement is this? I can gurantee you, that if you tell them during dawah that if they leave Islam, you will try to kill them Islam will no longer be the world's fastest growing religion.

Not really. He doesn't mention for example that over the centuries many Islamic scholars have explained that Q2:256 has been abrogated (Allah sends better verses, which he explains in the Quran) by verses revealed later in Surah 9 - else the Quran would also contradict itself. Eg: Ibn Kathir says "But, this verse is abrogated by the verse of "fighting...Therefore, all people of the world should be called to Islam. He has to lie to save his life, but now he is labeled a “hypocrite” - how exactly is that not compulsion? You live in the UK, if similar laws were places unto you to reject Islam for some ideology and you were labeled a potential threat under punishment of death, would you not say your civil liberties would be violated? Or would you accept it as part of the laws of land? It is not well explained at all.

What an assumption, declaring that you’re leaving Islam is declaring you want to drink, steal or commit crimes? What a weak religion. Trying to push this guy to declare himself Muslim is also very questionable. Experiencing Placebo effects of happiness, enlightenment or kindness is common whilst studying religions. It creates discipline and order, and if you don’t already have none of it in your life, you will attribute it to the religion you’re studying. Executing apostates, those who have differing belief and declare it is tyrannical, the “hypocrites” who don’t truly believe and must put on a facade that they do in order to stay safe is tyrannical. freedom is not a only determinant of good or bad. You can't claim that secular government uphold to just or true system just because they are irreligious
1. Why put a disbeliever who values honesty in a situation where he has only two choices, either lie or be executed. That doesn't seem moral. 2. The fact that a person has left Islam can be known without the person publicly declaring it. The information can be spread after he confesses to a friend or a family member. 3. Not believing in a religion doesn't entail lacking a moral framework.
Islam protects the community from the individual and the individual from the people. The point of all laws of Islam is prevention rather than dealing with the aftermath. The punishments are proactive rather than reactive. They are outlined to deter people from doing them and even in the life of the prophet Muhammad peace be upon him he showed us that these laws are to deter people not to punish them. Edit: all things about the person must be dealt with things like wealth health and pov would be considered in the process
The first thing an apostate does is to do what is forbidden to him, such as drinking, using drugs, lying, and stealing, which are things that he will find easy, but they affect those around you. We Muslims also have thoughts that come to our mind, such as obtaining money illegally, defrauding the weak, and bearing false witness, but it is our religion that prevents us and brings us to our senses. Therefore, if I leave Islam, the first thing I will do are the things that benefit me without caring if they harm society or not. It is foolish to think that he will choose murder instead of lying to them, knowing that not all Muslims are committed to prayer, as not praying will not make you an apostate, and not all Muslims are committed to the teachings of Islam, so it cannot be exposed unless he starts talking about leaving his religion in order to convince others to leave it as well. This harms our society as Muslims. It will not make us trust those around us. He did something big like leaving Islam. Would he be incapable of doing something like lying? That's funny. We Muslims are kind to non-Muslims, but we do not trust them because they do not have teachings similar to ours. In non-Islamic countries, every person has his own thinking, his own law, and his freedom to think and deal with others. What's stopping them? I hear you say going to prison, but does prison teach them the right way to live? No, they will go out and find better ways so as not to be exposed next time. We as Muslims do not want to feel insecure, so lie to us that you are a Muslim. You are free, but you will not dare to spread slander and lies about our religion in front of us as Muslims. @@AmicableAgnosticvalid question

I had a doubt about this for so long. Thank you for clearing this for me 💖
Why does this clear it up? I still do not understand it. I converted to Islam and only found out about this later. My family respected my choice of faith and I am allowed to practice and express it authentically. I wish everyone would have this right, including my own children. It is something that would prevent me from wanting to live in an Islamic country for fear of persecution to non-Muslims.
Many people only worry about this kind of situation if it happens to them or someone they love. I am not like this. My empathy is too strong. Muslims who die for their faith are martyrs, it is a noble thing to do when persecuted and our faith is strong to do it. It is considered a good thing. It doesn’t make sense to treat lying about your faith as something so light and not a big deal. No one should have to choose between their faith and survival. This is just sad.

If you read this;
Say "SubhanAllah" 33x
Say "Alhamdulillah" 33x
Say "Allahu akbar" 34x

So is important for Muslims to say the dua:

When leaving the toilet, he should say: Ghufraanak (I seek Your forgiveness).

And something related to this;
If when a non Muslim decides to join Islam, is not said that he is CONVERTING, but instead he is REVERTING. Meaning that he once was Muslim, wouldn’t it mean that even a person that is a non Muslim, can be considered to as an ex Muslim?
@@Sammuel.98 1- allah decides who to see, and he lets the people who wants to see to see
2- second notice that these laws are only in sharia countries? Do you know that there is no sharia country in the world? So if a sharia country existed, there wouldn’t be influence to make you leave the religion
3- if someone left the religion in a sharia country, they will talk it to him and explain his misconceptions, allah said that no one who has a pure soul would learn about his religion fully and still deny it, they did then they know its the truth deep down, so they are guilty, and notice that is about non muslims, becoming an ex muslim is even harder than just simply denying islam without ever joining it
4- the apostate law only includes people who admit it publicly, which means these people want to cause fitnah, and weaken the faith of others, before the apostate law was given to us in islam, the hypocrites started leaving islam on the night and joining it on the morning, this spreading a fitnah and made people leave and join islam even on stomping their toe
5- “there is no compulsion in religion doesn’t mean religion is a joke, and you can’t punish an apostate who us secretly one, which means this law is specifically for the public ones
And furthermore, some statements aren’t for every situation, if jesus said “i love everyone” does that mean he loves bad people?
6- the reason a none muslim isn’t considered an apostate is because he was changed by his parents, which means he didn’t become an ex with his will

If Satan comes to you during your prayer and pulls out a hair from your anus, do no leave until you hear the sound or smell the fart coming from your anus.
Hadith 1252
If Satan approaches a Muslim during prayer and he trays to end it and if any feels that Satan blows in the anus then you should not leave you smell your own fart or hear the sound of it.
Abu Hurayrah
Book: Al Badr al Munir
Pg 300
Satan plays with the anus of the off spring of Adhaan.
So is important for Muslims to say the dua:
…(supplications) when entering or leaving the toilet, which are quite appropriate to the situation and place. Our Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) taught us that when entering the toilet, we should say: Allaahumma innee aoodhi bika min al-khubthi wal-khabaaith (O Allah, I seek refuge with You from male and female devils). When leaving the toilet, he should say: Ghufraanak (I seek Your forgiveness).
Duraat = farting
And listen to the Ahadith what the teen is about the deen is about getting Shaytaan away from you. Os you know, you are going to the toilet Say: Oh Allah protect me from these devils you go in there with your left foot, the left foot you went in, you get a reward for that, the dua you said, Shaytaan will not see you.
Your are in the toilet, Shaytaan can’t see you anymore, this is in the Hadith.
If you don’t say the dua, what happens is the Shaytaan not only comes inside, but the Hadith of Tirmidi says he plays with your bowels. So you are inside there, your thinking your going to be out in five minutes, is taking you twenty minutes and you are not half way there… is because Shastan is pushing the shit up your anus.
The Hadith says says he plays with your bowels.
So if yo usay the dua, Allah protects you, then get up and do the Adhaan or something. The Hadith of Tirmidi says that the nyou say the adhaan, Shaytaan not only runs but the Hadith says duraat.
He runs and he’s running as his fart comes out.
If you say the Adhaan you make Shaytaan leak serious gas.
Muhammad:
If you say “bismillah" Satan won’t eat your food.

@@sama2463 no they actually have pretty simple answers
If you are born a muslim, which means you are born on your natural disposition, and since these laws only work in a sharia country, it means you probably will be taught about the religion properly, then you probably won’t have misconceptions about it, if they had, then they should ask about them,
So yea he already entered islam before birth
The reason people who are born on other religions are ok is because they were born muslims but changed by their parents
On the other hand a one who isn’t changed by his parent is a muslim
On the second point, if its his secret then save it, the apostate law, the zina law, and other laws like that are actually put to stop the action from being normalized or spread, so you need four witnesses to it
Which means if you saw people do zina, you can’t tell the government about them unless three other witnesses saw them too

What a flawed argument made by Ali ! 😅
Democracy is a government of the people, by the people and for the people and law is not based on any religious books where as in Shariah law is based on the religious book.
So 3 options are if one choose to leave Islam in Sharia state :-
😊 peace 🕊️
@@omarhanif1054 Modified my answer, thanks! All the points are from the perspective of the person who choose to leave Islam.

A person won't pray for 5 times in the mosque for one day, two day, three day, four day, five day, and so on but one day he has to answer the known ones. And what about leaving Friday prayer every Friday? What reason would you give? What about Eid-Ul-Fitr namaz or Adha namaz? What reason will you give then? All you are trying to say that it's better for a person to lie and deceive and live over the shoulder rather than being open and accepted in the Shariah rule.
If a "democratic" country's constitution is based on Quran and Sunnah, it's equivalent to Shariah only. If in that constitution out of 100 things, 80 things are based on Quran and Sunnah, and 20 based on societal environment, then it is pretty much equivalent to Shariah only.
Constitution changes over time but not Shariah.

Likewise, children will not be affected by lies, but will grow up and discover the truth for themselves and will respond to them as we respond now.
@@Alessia-fb1cu"Using drugs, lying and stealing" ...wow. What a dehumanizing assumption. Apostates, though i'm not sure you've noticed, are PEOPLE. They are not animals running around comitting crimes and being a disgrace to society. People can get along JUST FINE without Islam.
That man seems sincere. May Allaah Protect Us All, Ameen! 💙🕋❤

People in this comment section really have a cult like thinking, this man just explained barbarism and people are saying “mashallah”
Define barbarism
@@loftilhan4868 extreme cruelty in this case the killing of an apostate for coming out as one, Muslim lantern pretty much guaranteed that this person will not become Muslim
@@kingvegetakinggoku2008 not all apostates are killed btw
Yes, please explain what is barbaric about this? With what Israel has been doing to Palestinians over the last 6 months is barbaric!
@@ayishabehardien6310Yes. It is barbaric. That man did NOT say that he supported the cleansing of the Palestinians. Stop making assumptions about people and stop spreading this whataboutism. Killing apostates is WRONG. IT IS INSANE THAT I EVEN HAVE TO SAY THIS.
I'm curious about the basis of our Dawah efforts if we don't fully adhere to the principle that individuals have the right to leave a religion at any time, based on their understanding and free will. Isn't this principle fundamental when Muslims share their faith with non-Muslims?
So basically you are not allow someone to proclaim his departure from Islam. So if some chose to accept Jesus as Lord and proceed to claim Jesus is God in the flesh this person is then maybe facing apostasy
