The New Wheel - 10th Anniversary

- Ten years ago we graduated from UC Berkeley with an idea to bring electric bikes to the San Francisco Bay Area. We started with a home-built website, a couple ebikes on a trailer, and some consigned inventory in our parents' garage. Thousands of happy ebike riders later, The New Wheel is quite a different company. Special thanks to our director, videographer (and Larkspur sales impresario!) Mark Kohr.
This is the America I want to live in. These are the entrepreneurs that will make a difference.

in the future. I have ridden bikes all my life, distance rider. Had a bad accident off bike.
That threatened my ability to ride. I then came across EBR, Court was testing an Electra Townie Go.
Dropped by my usual local high end bike shop and there it was, bought it immediately. It did not shock
the folks, I bought high end bikes before on a whim, they knew my situation, and smiled at me, and said, you'll like this, game changer. That was 5 years ago. I think the bike barn can still handle at least one more bike!
You guys are awesome, beautiful communicators. Michael from OHM is awesome, everyone you featured here is a positive and recognizable contributor to the industry. Congrats guys! Exciting adventure ahead! I bought my first e-bike from you guys in 2013 and I've ran into so many people who ride bikes also bought at the New Wheel. So awesome to see people making their commute more enjoyable and healthier. I wish you all the best!

Amazing Story, and team. I cannot thank you enough for introducing me to this world. Buying my Stromer was the best thing I have done until I also bought a Levo.

What Lovely People! I mean the amazing staff that they have surrounded themselves with. The Community they have nurtured with so much activism positive energy. I still remember my first test ride with Karen I was 260 LBS she took me to the small hill and coached me in operation and gear selection and timing. We the circled the hill dropped down to the saddle that is Cortland and climbed the most Massive, Steep, narrow and Intimidating streets I have ever seen. I was sure I was going to drop from exhaustion before halfway but some how I made it to the top and my heart did not explode.( it was close) I have now been ridding an Stromer ST2 for 5+ years 21,148.4 I now weight 214 LBS and will be 58 in the next few weeks. My favorite thing is to visit the shop for service hang out with the team and then go explore the city. My bike has had a lot of use in all weather as a commuter and explorer and The New Wheel has kept it running like new.
