I have a Krimson Queen at home too and she's one of my most beloved plants. She's put out beautiful creamy white leaves and adorable pink leaves! She's so elegant next to my family room window. I adore her.
2:30 I agree 100% I keep my Anthurium Veitchii in a non-soil mix of Orchid Bark, Sphag, Pumice and Charcoal and he absolutely loves it. He’s been the most reliable, not fussy rewarding grower! I fertilize him with every other watering and he’s been loving life! 💚
I agree with you, Nora. I've grown Anthuriums that have matured from small to huge, healthy, thriving plants in Leca. My Anthuriums include Luxurians, Warocqueanum and Forgetii. My anthuriums love Leca.
My alocasia black velvet is also very happy :) She's a cutie oh my goodnes. My love is a new baby who I got in soil and I have recently transitioned her to pearlite +worm castings. She has a whole new vine growing and I will be transiting her to lecca when she calms down lol They grow so fast. This is my first alocasia
Hi Nora! Thanks you for this great video, between you and Kevin I have converted so many plants to Semi Hydro in the last year. So far so good! Thanks again!
I started watching your videos recently and must say I am very impressed by your collection. I decided to take some of my fussier plants, such as, Calathea - Veitchiana , Orbifolia, Warscewiczii & Red Mojo, Begonia - T-rex-St. Nick, Philodendron - Birkin & Syngonium - Pink Splash and plant them in Leca. After one-month new shoots are emerging. I flush the Leca every day, waiting for roots to come out the bottom. Time will tell if successful but, I am happy so far. Thank you, Leca Queen, for your inspirational and informative videos. 💖💖💖
I’ve heard plants release a rooting hormone into the semi hydro cash pot so if you’re flushing daily I wonder if it’ll take longer to get a good root system to support new growth?
Your monstera is beautiful!! Mine was killed this summer by thrip and I chopped it. Propping in water and every new leaf that comes out is damaged. I’m going to keep trying but I’m ready to throw it and get a new one. I have a dozen cuttings and cannot get 1 with good growth. Yes the rio is also beautiful!! Moss pole for the goal. Yes
Another great video Nora, agree with all your choices. I'm working on changing all my plants to semi hydro. Definitely put your P. Rio up a pole, it will look fantastic
I 'had' 3 large Maiden hair fern in a mix of Leca and Mab Grow. They were so healthy and beautiful. All tree got spider mite which I noticed far too late and so........I burnt all the leaves back. I put one in soil for the kids I put one back in my mix and on in straight water to see which one does best. Merry Christmas 🎄
Can’t recall from past videos. Have you treated that daykei for flat mites and the others that are not growing? It was a lot of work and things look unattractive for a while but I have so much active growth now. I used sulfur.
True story: you did a video about making this plant more bushy and it absolutely inspired me to jump on Etsy and buy one-haven’t regretted it a single bit!! Such a pretty plant!!
I just put my 🐳fin🐍plant in leca, the root growth is crazy 🤞. Your monstera is lovely, but don’t hurt yourself ❤. As always the plants are show stopping.
I would ❤ to see your Hoya tent! Yes to the rio on a moss pole! Just love your latifolia albomarginata. Do you have a list of Hoya that hate being at the bottom of the reservoir? I’m so so afraid I use the wick on all. Thank you so much!!
Maybe try putting one of the plants outside for natural sunshine to see if grows better. My poinsettia leca transition was an instant fail and I think it gave my alocasia spider mites but I caught it early.
Hi Nora. This was a marathon to watch but I loved every minute of it. All those fabulous Hoyas living in leca, and I’m not surprised at how well they are doing. I’m particularly inspired by your H. Australis Lisa and think that when my remaining 3 leaves finish growing the two new ones it will be going into leca. Thanks for sharing so many of your beautiful houseplants, I know you have a lot more, maybe for another video.
Right now my Hoya Latifolia Variegata has 4 peduncles ready to bloom any day now, and 5 others in various stages of growth or have recently bloomed. It didn't bloom at all during summer outside but it was on a porch with an over hang. Now that it's inside, it's under a 9w full spectrum grow light and 3 feet from it. The bulb is the lowest wattage I could find, and it's a cheap bulb from Amazon, not one of my fancy Sansi lights 😂 I have 2 separate pots of this plant both in the same spot, as well as a lot of cuttings in a prop box that are 1ft from a grow light, and it's only the one pot blooming. So it's not like I've cracked any secret code, sometimes I think it's just the plants and it's DNA controlling what happens.
I was just going to stick to Hoyas and philodendrons but my son gave me a Poly. Then I found a Sting Ray and I’m looking for a Jacklyn. I have found they need to be kept moist like my begonias.
I have the ph. Rio growing on a moss pole and it’s BEAUTIFUL on a moss pole. I’ve grown one trailing before and although it’s beautiful trailing, I think it’s a lot prettier climbing up a pole. The leaves do get a bit bigger, but not too too big like… a mantula pothos for example.
@@TheLecaQueenSo I started with just one plant, but wanted a more lush look, so I chopped and propped once the single vine was long enough, and added them all back in. I switched to a round coco coir pole instead of a flat clear plastic moss pole and continuously wrapped all the vines around as they grew. I think I have about 4-5 vines growing. Also, the roots aren’t fully attached to the coco coir pole, they were when I used moss pole at the beginning. So I think that’s why the leaves aren’t sizing up drastically, which I prefer for this plant, medium size-ish leaves. Can’t wait to see what you decide to do with yours in the future! 😊💚
I love your plants in Leca!! I have a soil to Leca question for my big Bertha (large form deliciosa). Currently in a 30 cm black pot from Bunnings. How can I transition her easily? Thanks ❤
Hello, Jan lives in Sydney and I am in Melbourne. I have done a collab with him in the past, and would certainly love to again. Check it out here: ruclips.net/video/iJEHXxg8dqE/видео.html

You got it!
Love your money tree. My money tree is doing very well in leca. I’m starting over with my leca plant journey in 2024🤞🏾

Oh and I am trying out planks as an alternative to moss poles, they are just too much work.
so glad to hear it!
@@kendasaunders606 I agree about moss poles. I find that it has to be the right plank though. Where do you get yours?

I just ordered three plants because of this video and it’s not over yet. You take amazing care of your plants. Love your videos!
Good luck getting to the end of the video 😁

This made my day!!
Great plants Nora! For the Rio, you could put a short moss pole at the back of the hanging pot & attach a couple branched. Happy Holidays!
Your plants are so healthy and beautiful 😻
Beautiful
Please explain difference between alba n verigated
Thank you
Great picks!!!! I’m not a huge Hoya lover but that Krimsom Queen is gorgeous. 😍 Love how you have 2 Frydeks in a pot to really fill it out. 🪴🪴🪴

Glad you enjoyed it! I loved every minute of making it! I don't think I could ever do an all-plants tour, I would be recording all day!!

I would really like to see your hoya grow tent
One of these fine days for sure! So much to do, so little time!
I was just going to stick to Hoyas and philodendrons but my son gave me a Poly. Then I found a Sting Ray and I’m looking for a Jacklyn. I have found they need to be kept moist like my begonias.
Your black velvet is wonderful
I notice the stems are not all leggy how do u do it

Hello, I would use the long method. I am transferring a very large plant at the moment and will publish the video in a couple of months
How far are you from Sydney plant guy? Any chance of seeing a collab in the future?

I currently have my money tree under grow lights.
That Monstera can not be called a plant-that’s disrespectful! It’s an absolute TREE!!! 💚💚💚💚💚
🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
😂😂😅😅😅 So true. She's a tree.
What do you do when your Birkin gets so tall it leans over?
Do you sell the earrings you wear?
Not yet.....watch this space....
I killed my money tree dead dead dead. Maybe it was a sign to stop BUYING so many plants. 😂
Oh no!
@@TheLecaQueen No worries. I bought 7 today. 😂
