Absolutely buzzing. Just taken delivery of the grey Kobrajet hose and 3/8 mosmatic male plug. Set up is now 💯 quick release, with SGS35 gun and Mozmatic v2 Nozzle. It's not quite the full set up yet, but really is superb. Invest in the best!
i wish i could have had this like two months ago i was soring upgrades for my K4 , i ended up getting the 20m hose form hoses direct and then the MTM gun and lance. your solution in the video is most preferential, quick connect is the way forward
@@YumCars I heard of them but never heard of them being the best, on your website it says that the connections are 3/8" do they come in 1/4" as my stubby gun has a 1/4" quick release connection?
Am I missing something here? Direct Hoses do a flexi pipe of varying lengths that fits direct into the Karcher and stubby gun. What’s the deal with this setup that makes it so special? Agreed, the Karcher supplied hose is virtually unusable but an alternative solution has been available for yonks.
I think you possibly may have missed the point, we are taking about a completely different calibre of hose that does not compare to the cheap alternatives that you are referring to which tend to split and burst every 6/12 months. The fittings used on cheap hoses are not the same as found on the KobraJet, this is the best hose in the world and I have done incredible research to piece this together. Don't get me wrong, there are hoses out there for Karcher which I have mentioned in the video, but nobody has done a KobraJet conversion which would be new to anybody when you are dealing with new fittings.
My feelings entirely. This smacks of someone trying to create a market for their own item, no probs with that but there are plenty of good solutions already in existence and I definitely don't agree that they are not good quality, mine from Direct Hoses has been perfect
Steve, yes plenty of good solutions out there but the KobraJet is the best, this hose has become world famous for a reason. I am not carving any market out for myself I am stating facts. @@steverabbits The fact you haven't heard of this tells me it's probably not that big of a deal. You've already looked into upgrading your hose and bought the one you've said which I've looked into too and I haven't even opened my k4 yet 😂
Great idea, direct hose make a hose that connects directly into the k series models then you just have the stubby gun attachment for the k series adapter
Finally! I have been looking for this exact solution! Thanks. Can you put a quick connect on that brass Karcher C connect end instead of the double female coupling?

But would like to get rid of adapter and use a pro hose and handle directly into the hose with quickrelease. Just need the adapter to the pressure washer. Size and so on.
Good video I’ve done the same setup in terms of c clip adapter to m22 hose 15mtrs, and a quick disconnect and short trigger, but could do with adding a swivel on the machine side I do occasionally get the hose looping up but I can still go around a vehicle no problem
Excellent solution mate 👍🏾. Currently have a quick disconnect setup on my k5 compact with your after market gun but will definitely be looking for your new line when it arrives. 👌🏾
You will need the following: Karcher Spec KobraJet: yumcars.co.uk/product/kobrajet-hose-blue/ Gun & Lance Kit 3.0 orifice: yumcars.co.uk/product/the-ultimate-gun-lance-kit-v3/
Could this be made even better by buying the quick release option of the hose and then attaching one of the quick release ends that you get in a short lance kit for example onto the connection, so that you can use a quick release to disconnect the hose from machine (the brass part at 12:52 in the video) when you're done rather than pulling the metal pin out as I'm sure that will get lost after a while
So how about all that water which stays in the hose when your done. I'm not even sure how that works on a normal K4 setup. Seeing that connector at the machine side. That doesn't look like a part you want disconnect each time. Yet when done there is s water in the hose?
Hi Nick-I have a Karcher K5 Premium and am interested in buying the adapter that you featured in this video that allows me to be rid of the standard Karcher hose. How can I purchase that. I am in the US. Thanks!! The
Also wonder how much more stress this puts on the pump. Going from a 6m to a 30m hose, the engine needs to pump much more massa through the hose. Do you have any info on that part?
wow that's an upgrade. That's why I never bought a high-pressure cleaner, because I found that with all those devices the high-pressure hose was too stiff, and you could especially see that in the recoil of the hose. and therefore always used the garden hose and the 2 bucket method.
Brilliant! I have been using Karchers on and off for years and kept getting rid of them due to the stupid proprietary fittings. I run a K2 as it is less then half the weight of my Ryobi when it want to go mobile. Karcher is as popular in Australia as the UK so I’ll be buying up a few and selling/giving to friends and family.
