I know he isn’t one of the greatest of all time, but the fact that Erik Choupo-Moting has never had a transfer fee in his career despite making 4 transfers, playing for two of the biggest clubs in the world, and not spending more than 4 years at any club is pretty insane.

Aging players, players who represent other national teams that are eligible to play for Bosnia but aren't seeming interested, just the genuine geopolitical mess that Bosnia is with how the Dayton agreement was meant to simply end the Bosnian war yet became the country's de facto constitution. I think it would make for a very interesting video, and could even span additional videos like how Velez Mostar are forced to play away from their original stadium in Mostar as it is on the Croatian side of the river, with their old stadium being taken over by Zrinjski Mostar. A club that was actually banned in Yugoslavia because of their nationalistic origin

Ironically Paul Pogba performed much better for Juventus on a consistent basis when he went there for free from Man Utd in 2012 then when he returned to Man Utd for a then world record fee of 90 or so million pounds in the summer of 2016 so it clearly shows that its not the price tag of a player that is the be all and end all

Nowadays it's easier for players to avoid being transferred with a lot just waiting for their contracts to expire and then joining new clubs for hefty signing bonuses. It's probably what's gonna happen with Mbappe next summer.

Great and interesting video as always Alfie! An idea I have for a video is what is going on at Lyon? Specifically the ownership of John Textor. I’m a Crystal Palace fan whom he owns 40% of and his dealings with all clubs (Botafogo and Molenbeek) seems very mysterious and concerning. I think it could make a good watch and be interesting to research!

@@livwake the rules can be tweaked a little here as Kane has never played for another club on a permanent basis. He had played for 4 clubs (other than spurs) but all 4 spells are loans, therefore making spurs his only permanent club.

The NASL still existed in 2015?? But the MLS is older than that?
I caught that error at the 11:09 mark. The NASL dissolved in the 80's and the New York Cosmos were not in existence in 2015 that I'm aware of and definitely not for a major star.
Wow. I stand corrected, he did play for New York Cosmos in 2015. Let's you know how defunct that league and team are because no one knew it tried to make a comeback. They restarted the league as a Division 2 league in 2011 but buy 2017 it was clear they couldn't make it as even a Division 2 league and went defunct again in 2018.
