Yep been saying the same for ages. Now there's even 500hz monitors but the games are still stuck at 60fps - 60hz. Thats why I rather play at optimized settings where you don't really lose much visual 'value' and play at 90/100 FPS.
This is not true. Yes, some games play just above 60fps WHEN playing at ultra settings and maxed Ray Tracing / Path Tracing. Optimization is very important, but it's not something magical that is going to make some of these games graphically intensive games at high frame rates with every graphical setting cranked up. Alan Wake 2 is a very well optimized, that doesn't mean it won't destroy mid and low tier GPUs with something as heavy as Path Tracing enabled.
I think it not only has to do with shitty optimization but also them trying to pack as much detail as possible, ray tracing, higher polygon count and with pretty realistic graphics will also force Gpus to their knees. Honestly dynamic graphics would be a game changer as you can admire the beauty of a game when the game is slow but when action starts to pick up the graphics adjust.
Some game are meaningless if played on high refresh rate. Slow, methodical games such as Hogwarts or Alan Wake 2, you don't need more than 60fps. It's pointless. Why in the world would you need 144fps while playing Alan Wake 2.

It's not about the price per performance, for you as a gamer it's about which resolution do you wanna play, 4K, 2K, or FHD, which quality and do you need RT on? And how much PFS is enough for you, if your budget can afford your needs you will purchase it even if it is expensive.

There is no reason that Starfield's results should be so much lower than RDR2 or Cyberpunk 2077's at comparable settings. Other than Starfield's optimisation and game engine is garbage.
My RTX 4080 Mobile overclocked (2670 mhz (+250 mhz) gpu core and 10250mhz on memory (+1250mhzz) + undervolted i9 13980HX (-185mv p-cores and e-cores and -100 ring and l2 cache) has same level of performance as the RTX 4070 Super.

your tests are so inconsistent. some with DLSS on, some without. some with ray tracing on, some without. it's a crucial setting that affects framerate significantly and is more telling of the GPU's actual performance if it's left off. i'd like to see these tests expanded with both RT and DLSS toggled between games.

It's impossible, it would need a 320 bits bus which does not exist in any 4000 gpus. AD102 has 384 bits, which gives 24GB, AD 103 has 256 bits, which gives 16GB. simple as that. Second, nvidia drivers give an nVram consumption that is around 15% lower than AMD, so the VRAM need for nVidia gpu is lower than on AMD

Games that are high specs like alan wake 2 and avatar won't have high play rates. Developer should at least design a game playable with 60fps mininally 1440p with a mid range gpu in mind. Less than 10% of the ppl will wanna pay for 4080 super pricing even though is cheaper nw but still pricey to the majority.
I have a 4070 super and in Hogwarts legacy I get 70 FPS on average on 1440 P high settings with Ray tracing how was he only getting 49 to 50 FPS he’s got a better processor than me

Uh these number are garbage. Do not trust this channel. I have a 4070s /12700k and in hogwarts legacy at 1440p. You should be getting around 90-100fps. Not sure how your geting only 60. You straight lying about these numbers And the same thing with forza. Hell, even At 4k im getting around 100. Checked your number against other, actually creditable, reviewers, and their numbers are closer to what im getting. You are doing something really wrong or you misleading to upsell people with your affiliate links.

@sunneltakes I had it on also. Like I matched his settings exactly in both games I mentioned. His fps are still way too low. I'm even using ddr4.not that it actually makes a difference.

Take it from someone with a 4070 super and a 4080 super. The 4080 super is worth it for anybody gaminf at 1440p ultra or 4k. I mean its 20 to 50fps gains deprnding on the game. Like at the end 40fps in horizon. Im a sim racer games like acc gave me massive massive 40fps boosts. So yeah man its worth it. When im sitting here getting 130fps in 4k on acc im like yeah thats def nicer then the 88fps I was getting. Still good but man what a monster gpu.

your tests are so inconsistent. some with DLSS on, some without. some with ray tracing on, some without. it's a crucial setting that affects framerate significantly and is more telling of the GPU's actual performance if it's left off. i'd like to see these tests expanded with both RT and DLSS toggled between games.

It's impossible, it would need a 320 bits bus which does not exist in any 4000 gpus. AD102 has 384 bits, which gives 24GB, AD 103 has 256 bits, which gives 16GB. simple as that.
Second, nvidia drivers give an nVram consumption that is around 15% lower than AMD, so the VRAM need for nVidia gpu is lower than on AMD

Dann alle Einstellungen auf Ultra - und es läuft mit stabil mit 92 Frames !
Ladet dazu dann noch GPU Tweak 3 zum tunen der Karte runter.
Meine Einstellung:
Power Target: 110%
CPU Spannung + 27%
GPU Takt: 2740
Speichertakt: 22845
Lüfter: Auto
evtl. ist noch ein Klick mehr drin - kommt immer auf die Karte an.
Aber damit holt ihr Cyberpunk - alles auf Ultra - mit der 4080 von 92 auf bis zu 101 Frames.
Mein geliebtes altes Far Cry 5 push ich mit diesen Einstellungen ( und Ultra ) von 89 auf 128 Frames.

Games that are high specs like alan wake 2 and avatar won't have high play rates. Developer should at least design a game playable with 60fps mininally 1440p with a mid range gpu in mind. Less than 10% of the ppl will wanna pay for 4080 super pricing even though is cheaper nw but still pricey to the majority.

Uh these number are garbage. Do not trust this channel. I have a 4070s /12700k and in hogwarts legacy at 1440p. You should be getting around 90-100fps. Not sure how your geting only 60. You straight lying about these numbers And the same thing with forza. Hell, even At 4k im getting around 100. Checked your number against other, actually creditable, reviewers, and their numbers are closer to what im getting. You are doing something really wrong or you misleading to upsell people with your affiliate links.
because they have Ray Tracing turned on, but don't turn on DLSS. i agree this channels' testing methods are reallyyyyy bad at being honest about GPU performance.
@sunneltakes I had it on also. Like I matched his settings exactly in both games I mentioned. His fps are still way too low. I'm even using ddr4.not that it actually makes a difference.
