I landed up drilling 3 very small holes in the black plastic so the water can drain out (until I have time to look into where the water is actually coming from) and also nail varnished all the wires, this has “sorted” the issue for now as in the lights are not flickering.
There is another chap who shows how to prevent this by using nail varnish to cover all the contacts. You have to get to the circuit board, which seems simple to do. The varnish basically stops water getting on the contacts and corroding them
If your drain pipes are clear then the water is bypassing the rubber seal that sits under the spoiler assembly

I, they are trim removal tools. Can buy from ebay or amazon or a car shop.

Yes mate get a bottle brush in them, the soft one on a wire, helps the water drain.
