Of all the devices you've showcased recently this is the one I'm most tempted to buy. Even through your camera, some internet shuffling, and my monitor the Boox Go 10.3 screen looks incredible.
It really is kind of magical
Really wonderful that they pared this device down for reading by focusing on the screen quality. Looking forward to getting it - thanks for the affiliate link!
Hope you like it as much as I do! Read a graphic novel on mine yesterday in fact
Great perspective. Thanks!
You fall easily for the new and shiny e-reading tech. 😊 Great review! Soon it will be “an e-reader from the attic” situation. 😂
Unboxolly: Revenge of the Android
😂😂
Nice video! Has the no backlight been any problem? I like to have my apt kinda dark so idk if i should get this boox
Well it's like reading on paper, so if you can read a paper book in that lighting you should be fine
I can definitely see how it would be great for reading manga! Do you think the thinness will make it more prone to breakage?
I don’t think so, it certainly feels very solid
Uh oh. Steve is going to be jealous!
😂😂
Does it work fine as well with an ebook if you turn the 10.3 horizontal and make a split screen with two pages?
Its absolutely not going to happen, but i really would love this in a 6 or 7 inch form factor - like a little pocket notepad
I think the Page (greyscale) or Go Color 7 (colour) are the closest options BOOX currently have.
Besides that, there's also the Leaf2 which was the predecessor to the Page, and if you want something more like a notepad, then there's also the older Nova Air2 (greyscale + pen) or Nova Air C (colour + pen)
@@kbhasi Yeah, I see that they have options like the page. I think the page is probably closest. I'm going to hold out till november to see if they announce anything - response has been pretty good to the 10.3, I'm thinking they might give the same treatment to a 7.8 inch tablet to compete with the Nomad
@@TinTownKing
Same for me, but with waiting for a new Note Air.
🖤💚
So does this have a sunken screen or flush screen? And it has absolutely no light function? I like the size. I currently have a Boox Leaf 2 in white which has the sunken screen but it is too small.
Flush, and yes no light at all.
Look really nice. Is it Carta 1300 or older? (One asking as if it’s NOT carta 1300 then I guess using that for future version will make it look en better and update even snappier) 😅
@@litjellyfish it is Carta 1200
@@Vliegende-Hollander thanks. Well then we can look forward to even better quality with 1300 in the future I guess :)
Looks cool but at £379 its too much
I just bought the kindle fire 8. I so hope it’ll be worth it for reading books and that in colour. But mainly because I don’t like the look of coloured e readers because the ppi is at 150 and can’t download books via iOS and Android which is pretty shit!
Imagine if you saw an iPad... the screen would blow your mind if you find this impressive.
an LCD/LED/OLED screen is quite normal nowadays. E-Ink, that's another thing
