Hello. I am currently struggling with the twist modifier. My problem is I can't keep the bottom my object from twisting like yours when I "connect" the spikes.
Having an issue: at min/sec 19:30, when I use upper limit the bases of my beveled objects spin with it creating distorted polygons on the base. Anybody else deal with this and solve it? Thx!
The fundamental mistake that we and HIM made is to set the "twist origin"(I don't really know the terminology - had to come up with the solution myself - thus the quotation marks) to the base of the original cube. Here is how to change the location of "twist origin": 0. If you haven't deleted the Twist Modifier yet, do it now. 1. Before adding a new Twist Modifier, in the Edit Poly, select(with a poligon selection) one of these: polygons surrounding the base of the center column(bevel) OR the bottom section(s) of the column(s)(YOUR COLUMNS SHOULD BE DEVIDED INTO MULTIPLE SEGMENTS BY NOW) 2. Without selecting anything else OR diselecting previously selected parts create a new Twist Modifier 3. Now you should see a yellow cross right in the middle of your 3D piece. Now this is what I previously called "twist origin". From here the twist will originate, meaning everything that lays on the same plane as this cross(depending on the axis of twist) will not rotate, thus making it easy for you to correct the overtwist 4. Continue following the video guide from 19:00
