Amazing video that captures the essence of this monastery. A serene, beautiful place habited by those who have given themselves up to follow Christ and be transformed by his divine love. Geronda has inspired many and, though I never met the elder, his love for Christ and for his brother are profound and otherworldly - as evidenced by the monks in this video who grew up with the elder as well as speaking with many at the monastery when I was blessed with an opportune trip. Glory to God for all things and for still giving us saints to help show us the way to Christ
Good video, Viacheslav, but the music behind the narration and monks voices is too loud. It distracted from the power of the words and images. However, thank you for the visit. Love from Yorkshire , UK. I try to visit St John and the Baptist in Essex, Saint Sophrony, at least once a year, but is not easy to drive far now bc of mobility problems. It is a 4/5 hour drive, which i cannot do now. I pray God allows me to visit once more before I am blessed to depart, and in His mercy, a good death.
You just outed yourself as not going to church, or at least paying attention to prayers. It’s apostolic, patristic, liturgical, hymnographical, iconographic, and most importantly Orthodox. It’s so weird to see people denying a doctrine that has so much roots in Orthodox tradition.
