    Great interview. I worked with the LT. He was a Sgt when I knew him in ad seg CTF in the mid 90’s. Great supervisor. Always sharp clean cut. His High jump boots always spit shined like mirrors. Being a former Marine myself I respected him for looking and being sharp. Lead by example and others will follow. A class act. Everything Lt says I can tell you is true. I walked the double lines too. Those days are gone sad to say. 25+ yrs in the Dept. Hon. Retired. Semper Fi!!!

    Great interview Hector! This one is one of the best ones! They way it was broken down to me was the SGT was like Jesus and you go to him if your weak and can't handle your inmates HAHAHA! The LT was god. If the LT had to get involved it was like Armagedón LMAO! Anytime my dorm popped off I was usually off.

    • @thatprisonguard

      Facts JMG! I don't know if it was just RJD but there was absolutely zero chain of command structure. You would have AW's asking CO's to do things, it was so weird and the micro managing was out of this world.

    Lt.Bravo
    How do you think the closing of juvenile camps/detention centers will affect the kids that look forward to being incarcerated? many speak of the their "schooling" at these facilities and how it prepared them for their eventual stint in prison, which some admit to looking forward as a rite of passage.

    • @thetraveler1182
      @thetraveler1182 Год назад +1

      They need to bring back discipline, but structuring them like a 3-4 yard isn’t helping at all

    • @thatprisonguard
      @thatprisonguard  Год назад +1

      Although it's not the same thing, it reminds me of when they closed down the mental hospitals and the state prison ended up with some of those people. I'll tell you from working with that population it was all bad. I can only imagine closing the youth facilities will have a negative effect somewhere else down the line.
