The oldest recording of this piece!! High quality!!!
It's a pity that the recording of the world premiere with Mengelberg and the Concertgebouworkest does not exist anymore. The concert itself has definitely been broadcasted by the Dutch Radio in 1935.
@@historischeaufnahmen2177 It probably lies in some archive..
This interpretation is quite interesting. Not what I expected, but on second thought, it does ring true to the performance practice and general interpretation of his time.
I can't believe this exists. He truly stuck with his ruhig marking for the first part of the 2nd mvmt, and the fugue is just crazy fast.
I still don't got no idea what these songs were about!
Wow ! I am so excited to find this recording. Listening with a student playing this Concerto!
Thank you so much for uploading. Such a incredible performance!!
This is extraordinary. Thank you for your upload.
Wunderbar!
WOW! Where was this when I was a student in the 1980's?
@@HIJK_LMNOPYes. Was studying viola.
It was sitting in the library all covered in dust lol
It was one of my favorites...
"Arthur Fiedler's Sinfonie..." Not THE Arthur Fiedler from Boston, surely!?
