In case it might help better understand the LA2A MIX knob properly in comparison to the video info (from the UA website): Dry Mix Adjusts the output level of the dry signal, including up to 6 dB of boost. Turn fully counter-clockwise for 100% compressed signal only, with no dry signal. Turn fully clockwise for maximum dry gain (compressed signal gain is controlled with the Gain knob).
I think the cameraman was right. Parallel compression in the loop or in the studio in post as the secret sauce basically. Especially with distorted guitars when you have a strange volume difference between the chugs and the chords.
Good morning Andertons. Coming home from working on the road waking up the next morning with a coffee at my desk, it is so familiar watching you guys. Like catching up with friends. Thank you Pete and Mr Captain you are doing people so much good. Cheers from Canada!~
You guys were using the knob incorrectly on the UAD LA-2A. Oops! All the way counterclockwise is all compressed signal, not the other way around like you were doing. It's actually a nice sounding compressor! lol
This video is the perfect amount to keep my ADHD mind going, and paying attention which means that it was probably too crazy for the national public Either way phenomenal job
Please, please have a B channel with the unedited version (or cuts) of what gets ignored, bleeped, cut from the videos posted here. I need that in my life 😂
Great video. You guys are awesome! Regarding the pedals... if I were Strymon or UA, I would try to explain the price point. They don't need to listen to my advice as I imagine they're doing fine. But, that's what I need to see in order to spend so much more on a pedal. There are some excellent pedals out there in the category of compression, tremolo, and chorus/vibrato. So, in the absence of more features, I have to decide "do I think this is worth $100 more than the Boss TR-2?" for example. I'm sure there is a good reason they are pricier. You'd think they might want to get ahead of that question. It might even be a simple business reason about what it costs to employ American workers, or source higher quality parts, or whatever. Then, instead of saying "is this worth $100 more than the Boss TR-2?", I can say "is employing American workers and sourcing higher quality parts worth $100?". For that example, my answer would be no, but it's a personal choice. It's not that I think brands need to explain their price point. At the end of the day, they price for whatever they need/think people will pay. It just seems like it would be in their interests to help me with that math. Maybe that's not true or it's just me.
Feel like UA have been overdoing it a bit recently. I didn't even notice when the Lion pedal was released, because they were releasing new pedals every day. And that pedal is kind of a big deal for me.
If the Lion had been released with the first batch of amp sims it would have been an instant purchase for me. But now I have the friedman ir-x which covers a lot of similar ground (and has a headphone jack, UA how do you keep making the same mistake?). Lion does sound great though.
I think the vibrato is an underrated effect and maybe just misunderstood. In demos (like this) some people (like Lee) say it’s making them feel a little seasick. It doesn’t affect me as much as that, but I can understand why you would say something like that. However, if you use this effect when you’re playing in a band, that’s when the magic starts. The other musicians in the band won’t be going above and below the pitch like you do, so it becomes a chorus-type thing after all, but bigger and clearer sounding. I love me a good vibrato. 🥴 And… this one was particularly good!!! ❤
You fukrs editing these vids are brilliant! Another nod for Danish Pete's 3 second review. But, fading out on the Huey Lewis story was savage. I swear two drops of pee came out!
Here's a pet peeve. Tone is in the fingers. To compare properly, they should play with the best feel under the fingers they can get with the effect off and then on. Instead, when they A-B at 6:07 between the compressor on and off, he plays a chord with no attempt to get a nice sound out of his hands, and then turns on the effect and plays with more feel. Not a good test!
It seems they are putting all the plugins to the UA audio interface into pedals!! LA 2A was a free plugin recently. Good Tore~ I have Brigade Chorus in my UA Arrow. Please can you use a more affordable guitar around £1000 not £3000 for demos
I'm gonna try ordering my first thing from you guys. Shipping to the States, so wish me luck. Nothing has got Trey's vibe tone in one box like that Flow. Sold on chord one. Not available anywhere here, best I can find. Here goes nothing.
Am I the only one here who still doesn't really know how a compressor does what it does/why I need one.....I live in GU2, should just go down and ask the blokes.
Isn’t helping with your spelling though is it. Unless you’re inferring that in every video we peddle things in which case your spelling is fine but your grammar needs work. 😂😜
The 3 second review is a welcomed addition to the videos 😂
Should be made into shorts afterwards😂

LA 2A, it stands for something lads. Limiting amplifier. Maybe would help your confusion. Maybe some things just need a bit of thought

You two are joy! thanks for the demo and the laughs guys!

Splendid stuff. Liked Pete’s compressed funk riffs.
What a tasty little intro jam! Pete made it seem effortless. Good sounding pedals (like basically everything made by UA...)
This video is the perfect amount to keep my ADHD mind going, and paying attention which means that it was probably too crazy for the national public
Either way phenomenal job
The only guys who can do review 100% ,they talk and at the same time
The 3 second review got me XD
Okay you're having TOO much fun guys !! 😂
Please, please have a B channel with the unedited version (or cuts) of what gets ignored, bleeped, cut from the videos posted here. I need that in my life 😂
Anderton’s Legal Dept. is going to sneak down to the staff lounge and change all the coffee and tea to decaf, simply to lessen their workload. 😂
I think those two are gonna have the munchies after they get done with this video
Thanks for the laughs! This is the best way to learn new products!
Can there be like a yearly super cut of every editing breakdown. Feel like we need a montage
Great video. You guys are awesome!

Would like to see a Video on how those other Universal Audio Amp Pedals work with Modulation and Delays
I love the 3 second review. Great format, job done. If you could just edit out the rest, thanks.
That Tremolo is to die for 🔪🥸🩸🩸🩸literally lol 😂

It has been a tad overwhelming 😂
Nice pedals to spice up the dial tone personality of the wretched “T-Style” PRS.
Love your demo videos after lunch at the pub!
Brigade is recreation of a Boss CE-1, which has a preamp.
Sound great. £180 not cheap but not super expensive. Feel £150 would be more palatable. Brigade is the Roland CE1.
Pete's clothing taste is amazing... camoflauge pants and a girley PINK sweather!! 😂👍
Nice editing effects on this one guys! Whatever happened to the exploding coffee cups????
Really enjoy your reviews. Thanks!

Wish I could add more thumbs up!
More 3 second reviews, please!
I usually only watch Danish Pete's 3 Second Review, before I close the video and move on with my life.
I keep forgetting that there are pedals being demoed while I watch this comedy show 😂
Can we have a phaser shoot out?
Pretty please with sugar on? 🤗
You fukrs editing these vids are brilliant! Another nod for Danish Pete's 3 second review. But, fading out on the Huey Lewis story was savage. I swear two drops of pee came out!
more 3-second reviews please. Maybe a SuperCut of them...
Am I the only one that want the uncensored version just to hear Lee’s song😂
No you are not!
I'm here for Danish Pete's 3-second Reviews.
I see a flow in my future
Great stuff as always from Pete!
Great episode guys 👌🤘👍😂

UAFX Brigade or pay more for a Boss CE-2W?
Excellent review and giggle-fest, as ever. Thank you, gents!
Hope you’re going to review the Lion pedal!
Its coming - the Lion is great - video will be out later this month
@@andertonsplease compare to the Friedman tube pre amp pedal
Brilliant! Thanks for the reply.
Yes, that Lion pedal is definitely in my wish list. 👍

The Danish Pete 3 Second Review!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I wonder if the flow pedal can do the collective soul sound on the song “heavy”
How would you guys say the UAFX LA-2A compared to the PRS Mary Cries which is also based on the LA-2A??
3 SECOND REVIEWS!!!
I'm gonna try ordering my first thing from you guys. Shipping to the States, so wish me luck. Nothing has got Trey's vibe tone in one box like that Flow. Sold on chord one. Not available anywhere here, best I can find. Here goes nothing.
Literally chord number one and I was like, "yeah that's about $200, to me"
Its came. It sounds exactly like the song Punch You in the Eye. EXACTLY.
This whole video was summed up in 9 secs. 😂
Any sounds like with Dave and Cici in the near future?
The word flavor and tasty should never be used in a sentence with the name Dahmer. LOL
They mentioned the UA Lion review but I can't find it. Has they not released that video yet?
I can only imagine they started talking about how the Ghostbusters song sounds like Huey Lewis' "I Want a New Drug"...🤔
most eye-catching thing was Pete’s watch
5:20 :D haha
Have I missed the Lion 56 or have you guys not reviewed it yet?
I wish I had a job like that 😂😂😂
The Captain actually said "Crikey". I thought that was an Aussie term only.
. . . and what did you do today Daddy, at work?
Release the 3 second reviews as shorts
i tried to order your shirts last week four times and got refused............I am in quebec city Canada............cheers Andre Breitler
Contact the store via the help page on our site - there’s no reason why we can’t send merch to Canada 👍
Dang, you'al having fun now....Bahahahahahahahaha
: ) ) ) ) ) ) but still good demo
its as if the pedal is 't there........ But it is there.......😂
and clearly "Dahmer: The Musical" needs to be made. Can draw a bit of inspiration from "Saucy Jack" - "he's a naughty one, Saucy Jack..."
Such a funny video :))))
Was Snoop Dogg at the studio? :D
Shame they didn't put a VU meter on the Teletronix.
Who ya gonna call?
Jeffrey Dharma!
🤣🤣🤣
it was a long night, yeah?
Am I the only one here who still doesn't really know how a compressor does what it does/why I need one.....I live in GU2, should just go down and ask the blokes.
it's all great guys, but pedals (gear in general) are so damn expensive now... tonecity is pretty much the only option for a non-professional 😂
Maybe I'm being a philistine, but can't really ever imagine why someone would spend more than 50 pounds on a tremolo pedal
How many times is UA gonna send me into debt:/
How much weed are y’all smoking at work? 😂
Either too much or not enough. 😅
Lee does not really understand compression.
For me Anderton’s is just the same stuff over and over and over. I think it’s had its day tbh. It’s not fun anymore. It’s become like Groundhog Day ☹️
props to the editor(s) these videos must be torture. and they still suck
Flow is what my x-wife called her period, lmao.
I did not expect this video to be this ridiculous 😅
I wouldn't buy a Jeffrey Darmer pedal, I'd be scared of what it would do to me?
Huey Lewis is the absolute worst, rest of the video was great as always, tremolo sounding like a univibe was beautiful
Too many peddle videos
Isn’t helping with your spelling though is it. Unless you’re inferring that in every video we peddle things in which case your spelling is fine but your grammar needs work. 😂😜
That PRS is just disgusting. Sorry lads. Wish you picked a different guitar. My eyes hurt.
Ya’ll are the biggest dorks LOL thanks for all you do for us lowly subscribers🥹
They are nice people 😙
How old is Pete Really? He's Not the same age as Salt Bae. Oh and stop with the Shorts it's a teaser and it's just cruel. Enough already.
