I was thinking, that if you wanted to cover up the end bits, on small things, like the heart, you could cut extra hearts and sandwiches the link ends inside 2. It wouldn't be very flexible, but it would work. Thanks for your, as always, fun and educational videos!!
I have mine for ages. It's a great punch. If I do something like the small heart, I mark with a pen a tiny dot where I want the middle of the slit to be and feed it in. You are right, it is overpouring the heart, but just punch another few hearts and glue them on top of the others. Quick and pretty!

For some reason I didn't order it with the board and when I went back to order it, it was sold out! I finally got it on Amazon! I have the MS link punches and prefer the WRMK! Granted they are different, but I use the WRMK the most! I believe it is now available on HSN, but I don't know about the big box stores! You are right about using heavy paper! It will tear! I don't know how I missed this punch. I hadn't seen it before and when I got it searched youtube and couldn't find 1 video on it. This punch is fabulous. I've not read all the comments to know if anyone posted about the availability of this in stores but I saw it yesterday at Hobby Lobby - just a thought, when you were punching your hearts and made the comment about the smaller hearts and the overpowering size of the links, I thought perhaps you could punch it closer to the middle on each side which would shorten your link you could then decorate over the top to cover the links once your heart banner was put together using a smaller heart punch out or stickers or even another heart punched of the same size put over the top.

I just got mine and what I do is put a black dot on the paper where I want my slit works great! I find the dot and punch.l got mine at JoAnn's.com for 8.99
