This new one is mostly special effects.

This movie looks terrible and very unrealistic (I know its supposed to be, but let me explain) First, the acting doesn't look all that good. second 0:58 I mean, com'on! is this a horror movie?! and that destruction and wind blowing all comes so loud! but they couldn't hear that when the building had several holes in it? third, 1:37 You're telling me that a mans strength is stronger than a tornado? I'm not even gonna argue with that. finally, 1:48 Okay, look at how those buses in the back aren't being blown away by the tornado. Now look at the final scene in the trailer. Those planes can picked up but not the buses?
I don't know if your serious, but the reason why the man doesn't get taken away in 1:37 is because the tornado isn't close enough. Same goes for 1:48, they are far away enough from the tornado to not get pulled up. I don't know where you got your knowledge of tornados, but just because a tornado is on the ground doesn't mean buses from the next state over have to be picked up. Houses in real life are untouched when across the street the houses destroyed.
Look at 2:01 too, there was so much strenght in that wind that the guy's head would've pretty much ripped off or atleast get his neck cracked... Anyway, despite these things... SPECIAL EFFECT OF MASS DESTRUCTION, YEAA! :P
Twister is my #1 Movie of all time. I am totally glad they did another storm chaser film, with special/visual effects that I'd find legit, not low budgeted, straight to video movies. I'm hoping this would blow me away. :)

I just came back from the cinema after watching this movie.. It was full of heart palpatating, butt clenching, nail biting action. I loved every minute of it! Only thing... I just watched this trailer again and the helicopter crashing scene from the trailer wasn't in the movie!?! What's with that?
I collect DVD's and iv'e noticed this loads of times, the movie makers have to cram in what they can and leave bits out only to put them back on the DVD's they release, Iv'e only just bought the DVD of this movie now so i'll find out shortly if the scenes in there. Also last night I was watching Prometheus for the 2nd time and watched a few scenes I know were not in the theatrical release, Kind of annoying though when they leave out a scene that was expensive to shoot but not waste so whack it on the DVD and even then you find out there's a Directors cut or something so end up with 3 different versions lol.
I have mixed thoughts about this movie. Looks like *_'Twister'_* meets *_'The Day After Tomorrow'_*. More than likely, I'll go see it. I hope it's not a waste of money.

The Mega F5 on the 1996 Twister Movie looks more realistic than this one...
gotDesign i actually agree..but u have to admit the twisters look pretty realistic in this movie too..and the destruction and green screen affects was well more thought out and more realistic in this movie, you can tell alot of time was put into this.. even though twister is as old as me
if u only watch them for the effects, u have bad tastes in movies.
