I was feeling quite hard done by when i saw the referee team believing they had bias against Arsenal and then they ruled improperly in our favour to dissalow a goal, gave a soft pen, but also didn't award a straight red for Bournemouth, so my conclusion is they're incompetent 😅.
As ever i wish Bournemouth all the luck until we play you next!

In the first half we were so overwhelmed that we altered the perception of the ref to believe we were meant to lose that game. That perception altered the way the ref saw events. For this reason, it is important to ensure that we do not fall back to the point where the ref’s beliefs become crystallised

Every fan thinks the refs are bad for them. As an Arsenal fan I'd say look at the last 3 games and watch the challenges of Jackson on Tomiyasu (not even called for a foul), Kilman on Havertz (got a yellow I think) and now Christie on Saka (no card). So if the VAR prefer the "big clubs", why wasn't Christie and Kilman sent off, since it would help Arsenal against "smaller clubs"?
VAR would be good if they had competent people running it, but sadly its a mix of incompetence and (imo) the refs doing a bad job with it to get it out of the game again.
The Havertz pen has been a pen for as long as I can remember. Just watch a Harry Kane penalty compilation and you'll see how many pens he wins doing exactly that move trailing his leg to make contact. The rule is broken and needs to be reworked because to me it should not be a pen, but it is and has been for some years.
I think the 2:1 was fair. The only reason I can think of, is that there was one angle where you could see Solanke hold onto Rayas arm before the push. For me its not enough but since the ref on the field called it, it won't be overruled. It took them so long (again, imo) because they wanted to see if the Saliba pull or Solanke pull happened first and then just stuck with the on field decision.
The last thing I want to mention is that getting someone sent off after 10 minutes would be far better for Arsenal than the best defence this year having to defend a 2:1 lead for the last 20 minutes.

Havertz was a dive. There was no contact. Should not have been a penalty. The league is corrupt. They need Arsenal and City to be 1 point from each other on the final day for more profits

I agree with 95 percent of what you guys said, I still think Christie's foul was a red card but that would have completely ruined the game from a neutral and a Bournemouth perspective, sometimes we need to remember football exists to help people get by hard times and to entertain the nation so I can understand them not giving it and letting the game play on as saka wasn't hurt just a graze. The penalty definitely was a dive and dives shouldn't be accepted if I was a ref I would be like this guy is trying to make us look like a mug lol but sadly they dont seem to care about trying to gain authority in games so we will see more cheating... however in real time it did look like a pen. That disallowed goal basically indicates to me that the referee and the var team in this game are underqualified and needs to take another football course on how to referee or refs in general need to stop changing the rules and forgetting that they changed them, the inconsistency is poor.. I heard a penalty not giving once this season because of... accidental handball... then Adam Smith vs man United happened... var was ment to stop clear and obvious errors but now basically looks for ways to take goals away while hiding away from any interview or voice clips explaining the decision and then cowardly lets the referee receive the backlash. Also the linesman's may as well not even walk onto the pitch and put their flags up their....

Decisions change games, it doesn't matter if Arsenal were the 'better side' it could have been a different result with fair refereeing! No pen, nil nil at half time, they score, we equalise, game on, however lovely Arsenal's football was. And Christie foul a yellow at best #afcb

Christie didn't even get booked because it was 10 minutes in & the refs are crap. For everyone, believe it or not. Arsenal had a player get a straight red for a very similar tackle that did less damage earlier in the season, the difference is it was in the 70th minute.

Havertz dive was right in front of me and I turned and said, he dragged his foot over Travers leg. So obvious. So predictable for the ref to point to the spot, and so predictable that VAR did b*gger all about it. Same with the Cherries goal. Nothing wrong with it. Accept we were outplayed and Arsenal were the better team, no doubt, but all we ask is for a level playing field.

Ryan Christie didn’t even get booked for that challenge he only got booked in the 95th minute and there was about 4 times he could of been given a yellow and that Saka one was a Red

Arsenal do not get favourable decisions, I can guarantee you that. I think there is no big club bias, the refs are just very very inconsistent.
Christie on Saka, Mac Allister got a red for virtually nothing at home to you lot, a week later Kovacic with two straight legged studs up tackles connecting on Odegaard and Rice's ankles, one yellow... So I literally have nothing to base the rule on but as an Arsenal fan I wanted a red.
Havertz pen, similar to Saka vs Neuer at the Emirates, that wasn't given, obviously Havertz purposefully trailed his leg along the floor hoping for contact so maybe they need to implement a new rule (if there isn't one already) saying if the attacker purposefully initiates contact in an unnatural way it's no foul or even simulation. But I believe under the current rules most teams would get that, clever from Havertz.
Solanke on Raya, slight nudge on the keeper but it's right as he's about to jump and goalkeepers are usually protected in this regard. City had a goal disallowed for something similar this season against Liverpool and Arsenal did against Leicester last season away which was very very soft. But yeah if that's a foul Saliba's pull on Billing was probably a foul, I don't think VAR checked

I’m sorry Jack, but I completely disagree with you. I’m absolutely sure that if you followed a lower level team then you would have a much clearer view.
I would also humbly suggest that if those decisions had gone against your team then you wouldn’t have been very happy.
Nobody has disputed the result or the obvious quality of a very much superior team, but at the same time Arsenal (and also Man City at the weekend) didn’t need any further help with very poor refereeing decisions against the weaker team.
The Bournemouth goal should have stood. Even MOTD agreed that, and even with Ian Wright on the panel.
