I agree about whishing a bit more of the "vocal unit" at the end! But all in all it's great that all 8 (well, 9 and the choir technically) of them got their moment, I wasn't really expecting that, and I could definitely recognise everyone even while listening the first time. And yes, they're all awesome (I'd go into more detail if I had the technical vocabulary for it, they sound really good to me) but... HAN with the vocals!!! I think it's even cooler here because it comes in the middle of the "rap unit" section, so you don't expect it at all.

The translation here is not so great though, so do look for others because it makes the song even better - their imagery is amazing. You might be right that some more vocal adlibs would make it truly special, but if you listen to the original with J. Cole and the Burna Boy version, it comes across as if Lil Durk basically handed each artist the song and said add your verse. And let's face it there are eight STRAY KIDS members, and it is his song not theirs, so even though I could listen to them all day, I imagine 3RACHA sitting in the studio feeling this was enough - enough to truly collab, enough to showcase their talent; it is not a cover after all. I appreciate that Lil Durk actually let them show who they are on this. So many collabs/features there's one line of the guest artist and then that's it but STRAY KIDS actually get space here to do their thing. I think Lil Durk fans who've never heard of them might actually check them out as a result. P.S. There are people who don't know about the joys of cereal and banana?!

Curious, I just subscribed and went through the Stray Kids playlist, has no one mentioned Venom? Maybe it's either on a Patreon or Twitch, but as a former producer, it would've been one of the first songs I would have recommended. Beautiful chords on the pre-chorus...amazing bridge, and a "melody" that I've never heard before. All written and produced by 3Racha.

This track is one of several remixes of the original song by Lil Durk that came out a while ago, it came out on a mini album with versions with J Cole and Burna Boy. My sense is that any project which involves 3Racha in any way will end up good, because I can't imagine them being involved unless they are working with an artist who trusts them enough to allow them a certain degree of artistic control, and their artistic instincts are just so good that they aren't going to let anything out that is below par. And they have played with so many styles, types of rhythms, various sounds on their own work, it's not a big deal for them to fit into another style. They've even done some unit songs with more simple rhythms and pared back production with a lot of space in the background, like Felix' Deep End and Bang Chan's I Hate to Admit; Drive and Taste weren't quite so pared down, but more so than the usual Stray Kids glorious cacophony. Ketchup and cereal, I admit, don't mesh well, but ketchup (or catsup if you prefer that spelling) and eggs are awesome together, although some people prefer hot sauce. Bananas and cereal doesn't sound weird to me at all, I've done that all my life. Like apples and peanut butter, or figs and cheese--it's always a bit strange to me that people think those combos are weird, because they work so well. Or fried egg on mashed potatoes, or putting bits of fruit into salad, like pomegranate seeds or dried cranberries. And one of my favorite ice cream flavors ever was blueberry lavender. I only tried it the firt time because I couldn't imagine how it would taste, and it turns out to be amazing. Blueberries and pine nuts is and amazing topping for vanilla ice cream, if you're willing to spend the cash for the pine nuts.
