@@grantmail4112 When you buy a wallet it doesn’t come with a seed phrase. It’s during the setup process when one is randomly generated. Wallets randomly generate a unique seed phrase using what’s called a random number generator which you then record and use to access your crypto account on the blockchain. And seed phrases aren’t attached to any one wallet. So you could create a seed phrase using a Trezor wallet for example, import it into a different brand wallet like Ledger, and continue managing your crypto. Cypto seems to make less sense the more I look into it. Which is funny since there's a million and one memes about 'how simple it is.' Not to mention the transaction fees seem to be excessive, especially for small transactions. Not sure how this is supposed to be the currency of the future.
The word “crypto” encompasses numerous currencies and blockchain networks. So when you say fees are excessive for small transactions that’s not completely accurate. Each network has its own use case. Not all “crypto” is the same. For example, to transact on Solana it costs .03 and it doesn’t matter the size of the transaction. And same with other coins. Now there is some truth to what you said, like Ethereum and Bitcoin which can have high fees depending how congested the network is at the time of transacting. To your point: crypto is the wild Wild West. Theres a lot to learn and very few experts to teach it. But, that doesn’t mean there isn’t immense opportunity. - Alex
It makes no sense to invest everything in crypto because there maybe delays or systems can go down ECT but you still can invest in crypto but also in previous commodities silver gold or stocks in companies like Zion oil djt media stock Tesla Ford in other words invest in things you can quickly have in like silver but other things make long term in case there a bank run and store food water for 3 to 6 months but the crypto if done right will lead to millionaire and billionaires
Do they charge fees on the wallets to keep your CRYPTOS safe ? sorry I'm new to this already started buying some crypto, have like 8k on cryptos and didn't like the fees I'm getting to each transactions on coinbase wallet..planning to get into this more and wondering if i really need this cold wallet thing, i keep hearing even Elon that is the best way to keep your crypto safe,(didn't know they can steal them from your coinbase app) really need a little tip on how and what on transaction fees or and if i have to pay on wallets monthly to not lose my cryptos..tnx
No, hardware wallets (cold wallets) do not charge any monthly fees to keep your crypto safe. Once you buy the wallet, you own it outright, and there are no ongoing fees just for storing your crypto. However, there are transaction fees whenever you move crypto between wallets or make a transaction on the blockchain. These fees are charged by the network (like Bitcoin or Ethereum), not by the wallet itself. Fees vary depending on the network and how busy it is. A hardware wallet is considered one of the safest ways to store your crypto because it keeps your private keys offline, reducing the risk of hacks or theft compared to online wallets or exchanges like Coinbase. So, if you're concerned about security, getting a hardware wallet could be a smart move. But remember, you'll still pay network fees whenever you send or receive crypto, no matter which wallet you use. I recommend Tangem. Super secure and VERY easy to use. No, that’s not a taxable event. Only when you swap/sell one crypto for another or crypto for fiat. That said, I’m not a tax professional. So take that for what it’s worth
Yes, hardware wallets are self-custodial, meaning you have full control over your crypto. In contrast, custodial wallets are managed by a platform, which holds the control over your crypto. Yes, anyone can send crypto to your wallet assuming they know its public address. And no, people can’t randomly empty your wallet. They’d have to either know your seed phrase, or you’d have to give them access.
Send to exchange, sell for fiat, withdraw to connected bank. Or Sell from hardware wallet directly to bank account using the sell button in the wallet’s native app.

Tried to dca in the trezor suite app but invity doesn’t work in my region…any way around this?
What do you mean you tried to DCA?

Is the Ledger x a bad wallet?
I dont recommend Ledger wallets at this time. They’ve lied and messed up one too many times.
If you want a similar wallet, I’d go Trezor or Onekey
Thanks
You got it👍

I still have the Ledger Nano S. I think i heard it right that the firmware update is not possible on this device. I do not like to see Ledgers recent moves but i would love to use the S still. Would you say the Nano S is still a very good/secure hardware wallet?

Should I send 100% of my XRP balance to my wallet or should I leave some in my COINBASE account? Does COINBASE require a minimum account balance?
You’ll need 10XRP on any address you plan to use XRP on. So if you plan to send XRP back to Coinbase eventually l, just leave 10
I sent xrp from trust wallet to coinbase no problem. Didn’t have xrp on coinbase to begin with. Why would you need to leave 10 on there?
@@hiimchris you don’t need to leave 10 on there, as long as you’re sending at least 10
If I'm staking crypto, should I leave a significant amount in coinbase, or does that matter?
I wouldn’t. You do whatever you feel is best. That said, you can securely stake crypto directly from cold wallets like Tangem and Ledger
Do I pay taxes when I withdraw/transfer from an exchange to the hardware wallet?
No, that’s not a taxable event. Only when you swap/sell one crypto for another or crypto for fiat.
That said, I’m not a tax professional. So take that for what it’s worth

Did you send ETH on ARB? Can't you only view Eth or other crypto send on other networks via third party apps?
No, I sent ETH on Ethereum. And I’m not sure what you mean.

Yes, same process as the video

@@stunnin420ify then you can import your seed phrase into a new wallet (even a different brand) and you’re good to go.
Is a hardware wallet better than a custodial wallet?
Yes, hardware wallets are self-custodial, meaning you have full control over your crypto.
In contrast, custodial wallets are managed by a platform, which holds the control over your crypto.
I would NEVER store my crypto on an exchange. Too many horror stories.
I just dropped a new video about things to know before buying a hardware wallet. You might want to check it out:

Is it possible to store any crypto on any chain to your hardware wallet?
For the most part. Wallets like Tangem support over 70 blockchain networks. Whichever wallet you choose, simply check its coin support and ensure it supports all the cryptos you plan hold
How is ledger nano s & x ?
Ledger Nano S Plus and X are fine. Just small. But equally as secure as Ledger’s new models the Flex and Stax
Can say Charlie who has a hardware wallet and owes me 50.00 send it directly to my Hardware wallet? Also if Charlie was a crook and instead of sending me 50.00 could he instead empty my wallet which had say 10,000 in it. Thanks for a great video.
Yes, anyone can send crypto to your wallet assuming they know its public address.
And no, people can’t randomly empty your wallet. They’d have to either know your seed phrase, or you’d have to give them access.

How do you move from a hardware wallet to your bank account?
Send to exchange, sell for fiat, withdraw to connected bank.
Or
Sell from hardware wallet directly to bank account using the sell button in the wallet’s native app.
@cyberscrilla Thank you.
I've watched a lot of your videos last night, and you're one of the few i found that isn't trying to "sell me" anything.

Exactly why you don’t want to keep crypto on them. Treat exchanges like an exchange, not a wallet.
