I'm going to miss the Mentally Advanced Series. A world I was genuinely interested in and had a degree of love for has, for all intents and purposes, ended. I will certainly mourn it's loss. But Greg wanted to move on to something else, and I completely understand and respect that. We don't need to look back on the past, but look forward to the future. I can't wait to see what all the Nepotism Adventure Series has in store.

It's not Mentally Advanced, but you can still see the roots of the Mentally Advanced Series in this. How it's influenced this one. Regardless, this stands on it's own, and is both adorable and hilarious. Also, I caught the nepotism joke at the end.

While this one still have that Dawn dark humor writing style, it's actually way more cute and Twilight seems to be more happier than depressed or racist all the time, a shame this didn't last long.
I love how this called so many things the show would go on to address- Twilight's number of students and leadership role, and that Starlight wasn't actually as forgiven as initially suggested. But it even got the friggin "Twilight Sparkle never read the Self-Help book in her possession that would help her with her book problem" joke that a whole episode hinged on.
I had to go back and rewatch that last panel due to you pointing out that fucking little pixel. Good job on the animation though can't wait for the next. Lovin it.

I really can't believe that you've been doing this for seven years now! Congratulations on staying strong and adapting through all the challenges that have been thrown your way. This was an awesome episode in my opinion. I still can't get over how catchy that intro is. I can't place my finger on what it is but I could rewatch that segment a several times and still feel like theres something I might've missed with All that commotion. It just goes to show how much time and effort you put into your content. I really liked the tax song you worked into twilight's book. It was a really cool and engaging way of actually telling the story about pony taxes while still remaining highly entertaining. Despite all the changes and evolving that your channel has had to under go, I think its made your content leagues better than it started off. Your jokes are far more clever, and your creating your own puppet rigs and backgrounds. Looking at your progression still inspires myself to get back on the horse when I feel like in not that good at something because of whatever reason. Your videos always brings a smile to my face and joy to my heart so thanks for that! Best of luck to you in the years to come.

Feel like this is much more lighthearted than your Mentally Advanced series... everyone seems so happy comparatively. Especially Twilight was a major downer everytime she was on. In regards to Glimmer... i feel like you wander around in circles that jerk each other's opinions. Glimmer now is a far cry from her high point of being hated. Maybe step out for a while of your negative circles and look around, its not just Glimmer... tons of people still love the show to pieces. That last episode of MAS actually was the conclusion to MAS, and he explained his plans and the shortfalls of his format during the text attack the end. We aren't getting a conclusion because there isn't really any way to provide it.

I REALLY don't like the mouth flaps ,I missed the open mouth talking thing. It brought it's own flavor and unique aspect of the series and made it different in general. Plus it takes longer for these things to be made because of the lipflaps! It feels VERY WEIRD and doesn't look right to me, and I don't know if I can really take the MAS characters seriously with the mouth flaps. Greg, please at least do a poll or something, asking if we don't want lipflaps, I really don't recall ANYONE complaining that there was no lipflaps before. Except grammar Nazies and people who possess insignificant small genitalia.

This is interesting. This took a direction I wasn't expecting. So, without a doubt, the levels of animation have HEAVILY improved to an impressive level, to which I applaud. Cause damn that's some work. Well done. Great intro too. Now the part where it feels weird is it's a lot less cynicism, which is fair this isn't MAS, but more "inept and unintelligent". This isn't necessarily a bad thing, but... with the style kind of looking like gen 3, it almost feels more "kids show" than FiM itself. Even with a pony being burned at the stake funny enough. Overall it's very well done. It flows, it's quality animation, and great acting. This is why I'm a patron, because I admire the talent and effort the Dawn Somewhere team puts in.

The intro was absolutely beautiful just by itself, the characters' personalities shine through beautifully just in those first few seconds! And the promise of a great first episode from it having such a great intro didn't disappoint, either. I love the idea that ponies are all so bad at math that, despite being a bunch of bumbling prey animals who in show-canon are afraid of wandering bunnies, they'll up and murder somepony for trying to collect a percentage of bits. Whether or not the taxes would have been properly used or if this Celestia is too evil/stupid for that, this raises questions about how terrible and toll-ridden Equestria's infrastructure is (even without everypony in charge being incredibly dumb) that I'm excited to see if the next episode will address. How does Twilight Sparkle have an income, since this version doesn't seem like the sort of pony to charge for friendship lessons or borrowing books? How does Celestia afford to eat, for that matter, if her subjects don't think she should get anything of theirs? Are Cheerilee and Red Heart going to run expensive private education and healthcare systems, should those ponies come up at all? I can't wait to find out (whether these are ever answered or not)!

Not to say I don't want to have a conclusion for MAS, just that it'd be pointless to really stop it off when it's already been established that it's over.
I love this, the animation is incredibly smooth and the artstyle cute, the dialogue/storyline makes me think of South Park.

I REALLY don't like the mouth flaps ,I missed the open mouth talking thing. It brought it's own flavor and unique aspect of the series and made it different in general. Plus it takes longer for these things to be made because of the lipflaps! It feels VERY WEIRD and doesn't look right to me, and I don't know if I can really take the MAS characters seriously with the mouth flaps. Greg, please at least do a poll or something, asking if we don't want lipflaps, I really don't recall ANYONE complaining that there was no lipflaps before.
Except grammar Nazies and people who possess insignificant small genitalia.
SRBproducs These aren't the MAS characters. MAS is effectively done. NAS takes it's character interpretations from Seasons 4+; MAS got it's characters from S1.

This is interesting. This took a direction I wasn't expecting. So, without a doubt, the levels of animation have HEAVILY improved to an impressive level, to which I applaud. Cause damn that's some work. Well done. Great intro too.
Now the part where it feels weird is it's a lot less cynicism, which is fair this isn't MAS, but more "inept and unintelligent". This isn't necessarily a bad thing, but... with the style kind of looking like gen 3, it almost feels more "kids show" than FiM itself. Even with a pony being burned at the stake funny enough.
Overall it's very well done. It flows, it's quality animation, and great acting. This is why I'm a patron, because I admire the talent and effort the Dawn Somewhere team puts in.
Beautiful. I love seeing your work evolve over the years and I hope you end up with your own hit adult swim series someday.

I think we all loved the MAS series but, we're gonna be twice as hyped for this new stuff too. I'm glad to see you're still pursuing this artistic ambition and continuing to move forward. Dude, you are impressive. I've been a fan of this channel for literal "years" now and the fact that i'm now a god-damn-adult and still following this channel, blows my mind. The animation is very smooth and appealing. I love how the pancake fell off the plate. Nice touch
The intro was absolutely beautiful just by itself, the characters' personalities shine through beautifully just in those first few seconds! And the promise of a great first episode from it having such a great intro didn't disappoint, either.
I love the idea that ponies are all so bad at math that, despite being a bunch of bumbling prey animals who in show-canon are afraid of wandering bunnies, they'll up and murder somepony for trying to collect a percentage of bits. Whether or not the taxes would have been properly used or if this Celestia is too evil/stupid for that, this raises questions about how terrible and toll-ridden Equestria's infrastructure is (even without everypony in charge being incredibly dumb) that I'm excited to see if the next episode will address.
How does Twilight Sparkle have an income, since this version doesn't seem like the sort of pony to charge for friendship lessons or borrowing books? How does Celestia afford to eat, for that matter, if her subjects don't think she should get anything of theirs? Are Cheerilee and Red Heart going to run expensive private education and healthcare systems, should those ponies come up at all? I can't wait to find out (whether these are ever answered or not)!
