Reading all the comments about how UAE shoul not be yet praised for bulding "The future female" reminded me of a story from a female compatriot (From México) who was sentenced in Qatar to suffer 100 lashes just because she demanded justice from a rape that ocurred to her from a Qatarí citizen in the same country. My point is, yes this countries are growing fast and have money to show but are not perfect when it comes to human rights, i know my country is not perfect but hell i don´t go out and sponsor that everything is Okay. Some people in the comments are right, the Yes Theory team should do a little bit more research before selling out.
Don’t you think saying the UAE put an emphasis on women is kind of purposewashing? There are still laws for male guardian authority and loopholes for reduced sentencing for men for killing a female relative. „a woman in the UAE can still lose her right to financial maintenance from her husband if she refuses to have sexual relations with him without a “lawful excuse“ The law does not criminalize marital rape. Yes they are going in the right direction but I don’t think they are ready to be praised yet.
Welcome in dubai i guess… and that‘s only the tip of the iceberg! There‘s so much wrong stuff going on in UAE it‘s crazy! Videos like these are constantly glorifying Dubai which is not good at all!

@@mms4818 hi while I understand that an outsider shouldn’t be the first one speaking about an issue, I must say that you yourself are speaking for people you don’t know. I doubt you know 98% of women in the UAE or even close to 1% of them, so how would you possibly have a repräsentable sample group?? Also no I’m from Germany and we do not have these laws so our women rights feel better to me. Did I ever say anything about the UAE being bad? No I did not, I said they shouldn’t be praised for something they haven’t fully achieved yet. Obviously it’s a step in the right direction.
Dubai lately has been sponsoring alot of youtubers to feature this museum under tourist destinations list. Maybe yes theory should said upfront that this is a paid sponsorship

They’ve probably seen all these comments and will address everyone’s concerns.
I love Yes Theory but this video honestly makes me feel like they sold out, like maybe the offer was too good to turn down whatever they were offered by Dubai and the money will go towards the documentary. NOT saying this is true or accusing them of it, but their lack of acknowledging anything negative just makes me feel that way. Whether its true or not that is just how it makes ME FEEL.
Ammar fled Egypt because he didnt want to serve 2 years conscription in the military. Something his brothers and countrymen all do. @@nzvplc I agree with you. Plus in conversations in the past videos, Matt revealed that Ammar was very sensitive to the feelings of those around him. Not everyone wants to fight their fellow humans.

I love watching your videos and I really like the support of and within the community, but I don't understand why you have to shoot so many videos in a country that violates all human rights and is far from equal rights for men and women. But I just can't understand how you can make so much publicity for the United Arab Emirates, while you seem to want to represent other values.

So many people are commenting about the lack of rights for women in the UAE, and I would just like to say that as a woman having grown up in the UAE, and still living here, I have to say that the progress and determination of providing women with a safe environment and equal rights is extraordinary. I can walk alone in the streets without looking behind me, i won't be catcalled while walking alone, in universities and start up incubators they have programs for women in the workplace and assitance in developing business. In addition, the UAE was the first Middle Eastern country to have a woman as the head of a Bank. I understand there may be a tainted vision of womens rights i the ME, but don;t just assume that Dubai falls within this. I have so many wonderful female role models to look up to living here, and I wish you could all experience the same. Of course the issue with underpaying the lower working class is something that should not go unnoticed, however the life everyone builds for themselves here individually, separate from the government, should not be looked down upon when having the UAE in mind. Thank you Yes Theory for sharing your experiences in the UAE and the Middle East, breaking boundaries and opening eyes. Yours Sincerely, A Happy Woman living in the UAE :)
I watch every video of you guys, because i love the way you think and how you tend to be very aware of your interactions and how you treat people. I thinks its very problematic that dubai gets the recognition that it does for its huge and fancy buildings and ideas, when all of these are built on mdern slavery.... A lot of those huge stuctures are built by people being enslaved by the super rich.. it really does not fit you, travelling to dubai and pushing the super cool amazing view of dubai. At least mention it at some point... cant bare to watch every youtuber and influencer going to this superficial ass city and praising it into heaven like that...
Ahm ahm slavery? as in foreign companies taking their passports away so they are forced to work for a living. Keyword: Foreign. There are new article/laws that came up and they contradict with taking away passports
The USA, UK, the EU countries. There is no country that was not build that way to what it is now. The conditions in the workplace in some project in Dubai might be bad. However, I found it very hypocritical of people who’s country was build and founded on the back of “forced” slavery condemn everyone but their home country. Even today your phone and its battery, and your clothes and shoes and so on all come from a far worse conditions yet you all live that
Once again, very questionable from YES theory. To make an entire video and project about Ukraine is great, and I commend for that. But the situation of a lot of people in Dubai is of a similar severity to those in Ukraine (slavery, extreme poverty, mistreatment of human rights). I am all for seeking discomfort but turning such a blind eye to such a big issue is quite dissapointing
Last time I checked, residential homes aren't being bombed in Dubai. People aren't starving & forced to hide underground. Nobody forced the foreign workers to go there. You think they don't tell their families & friends back home what the conditions are? Yet they come anyway.
? firstly you're lying. slavery is illegal and not practised in any capacity in the uae or dubai. Also if you want to speak of extreme poverty then that exists more in america or england than dubai. In dubai if you are a citizen then the government will give you a house and job and money if you are verging homelessness. Does america do that? England? and now onto the human rights nonsense. Which human rights are the denying? most western countries are far worse on human rights than any arab country. America alone killed 2 million civilians in iraq since 2000. should they now mention that everytime they film in america? be consistent.
"Something I really admire about the UAE is that they have very strong emphasis on the future being female" Really sad to see a channel that I respect so much sell out to such a terrible degree. That one statement speaks volumes about the values you guys really have as opposed to the ones you preach.
No coincidence. Its all algorithms feeding and perpetuating what you consume. Like after watching gay porn, I coincidentally get flooded with ads for Grindr.
Dubai has been inviting influencers and paying them to produce content about the museum with a bunch of propoganda like "Dubai focusses on a female future". Yes Theory has sold out.
The pavilions where water was involved really showed me the smiles or all different cultures and backgrounds. The Ukraine Pavilion was so encouraging and hopeful for the end of War. People at the World Expo were so nice and endearing.
Does anyone understand that “Yes Theory” or “ Seek Discomfort” has done so many things to try and better peoples lives. They are simply a positive channel and create hope and change to better ourselves with thinking outside of this box that we have created as a society and try and experience more people, places and things in a positive light…even when it seems like pure darkness. Yes Theory, I think you should look into Mahbouba Seraj who runs a women's shelter in Afghanistan. She has stood up for the rights of women who now sadly because the Taliban have taken over, have little to no rights left. I'm so glad you're able to show us all this stuff. I don't think I'll ever be able to visit all these cool and amazing places bc of... well ya know I'm poor lol. Thanks for taking us on these amazing adventures! It's such a great way to escape my reality! Much love from North Carolina, USA!
It’s easier if you have money but totally possible if you don’t.. I traveled 18 months, 3 continents sleeping in nice places, being able to pay for adventures, starting from nothing. In the rich countries (like Netherlands, New-Zealand) I worked and earned a lot (there are lot of opportunities and scholarships like the work/travel visa in Australia and NZ), in some countries I worked for shelter and food (through wwoofing but there are other sites too) or couch surfed, and in the poorer countries I spent the money I earned and loved like a king :) meanwhile I started to work online just a few hours from beaches and trips :) it’s possible, first just Google how other people do it or look up some work+travel visas, now I have two little kids so I travel a bit differently but would totally do it again it was a trip of my lifetime.. I also volunteered in Africa where the organization took me so there were no fees I gave my two hands and willingness to help and they gave the trip, food and shelter.. most organizations ask for money, but still, it’s possible to find solution to everything if you don’t have the amount.. go! :)

Very disappointed to see this fluff propaganda piece in Dubai from them. Seems like some UAE agency reached out to them to do this paid fluff piece.
bro what slavery? I think you should go educate yourself more instead of wasting your time and commenting unnecessary stuff. i'm sorry but you commenting that made you look like an uneducated fool.
„a woman in the UAE can still lose her right to financial maintenance from her husband if she refuses to have sexual relations with him without a “lawful excuse“
The law does not criminalize marital rape.
Hi please don’t speak for the woman here we are all very happy ty and 98% percent of woman here feel safe walking alone tonight as well as we got voted safest city our capital abudhabi and happpiest country in the world and woman rights here are much better then your countries ty for ur unwanted concern and remember our country was only built like this on 50 years
@@mms4818 That doesn't excuse the shitty laws. Also doesn't change the fact your country was built on modern slavery.
@@vivigoesusa please don’t speak of the bad please research about my country and educate urself about our woman rights
15:45 "I hate to break the moment..." Hahahaha so cute. I love how the Yes Fam brings this gentle energy to everywhere they go.
Dubai lately has been sponsoring alot of youtubers to feature this museum under tourist destinations list. Maybe yes theory should said upfront that this is a paid sponsorship
They say at the beginning they were invited to tour the museum, like 30 seconds in.
@@RubeenLou say it is a promotion, do they need to tell us? I’m confused on why all of your comments on this video are so angry that yes theory could have possibly been paid and didn’t tell us.
@@atxjac its an honesty and ontegrity issue. Content creators are expected to announce when content is paid and there is even a built in tag when uploading a video.
@@GroteGlon I was not aware they had to disclose that. I’d still like to give them the benefit of the doubt as they’ve disclosed sponsorships/promotions in the past. Everyone is under the assumption that they got paid and didn’t tell us just because other RUclipsrs have also gone recently. They’ve probably seen all these comments and will address everyone’s concerns.
True
I love Yes Theory but this video honestly makes me feel like they sold out, like maybe the offer was too good to turn down whatever they were offered by Dubai and the money will go towards the documentary. NOT saying this is true or accusing them of it, but their lack of acknowledging anything negative just makes me feel that way. Whether its true or not that is just how it makes ME FEEL.
Ammar fled Egypt because he didnt want to serve 2 years conscription in the military. Something his brothers and countrymen all do. He talks about his love for his country and how he misses it, but it was he who turned his back on his country in order to seek comfort. Ammar sold out long ago. #seekcomfort #tothehighestbidder
@@SteveJobIess being a pacifist is not selling out. he already explained that hes against war in general. im the same, i would never go to war for my country but that doesnt mean im not part of it. nothing is worth taking another humans life, especially not a piece of land
@@RubeenLou true, this museum is pushing hard to promote itself. Casey Neistat and other creators also put videos up of the museum. Dubai propoganda machine. Remember, women are the future 🤣
honestly why do they even need more money to cover the documentary? The guys are millionares and Netflix would probably still take them up on it
@@nzvplc I agree with you. Plus in conversations in the past videos, Matt revealed that Ammar was very sensitive to the feelings of those around him. I would be very useless at war and they would probably not even accept me into the training camp. So, refusing to join the military is not really selling out. Not everyone wants to fight their fellow humans.
Dubai is cool and all, but it’s hard to forget the fact that most of that city (probably including this building) was built using slave labor
That was a long time ago get over it
How do you think European countries were built?, the industrial revolution used slave labour remember this fact also
Get over it who cares
@@zorgg It’s still ongoing
And the fact that the rulers kidnap and torture their own family… (anyone not knowing look up latifa)
I was also diagnosed with thyroid cancer during covid and it’s so promising and comforting to see someone with a similar experience continuing to live their life to the fullest!
I love watching your videos and I really like the support of and within the community, but I don't understand why you have to shoot so many videos in a country that violates all human rights and is far from equal rights for men and women.
If you would show not only the luxurious side of Dubai, but also the dark side, it would be something else.
But I just can't understand how you can make so much publicity for the United Arab Emirates, while you seem to want to represent other values.
According to a decree issued by the UAE Ministry of Interior, the passport is a personal document for the owner to keep and show when required by government authorities. Unless a passport is detained with a judicial order and according to the law, keeping someone else's passport is considered an illegal action
as in foreign companies taking their passports away so they are forced to work for a living. Keyword: Foreign.
I'm quite suprised you hopped on that RUclipsr in Dubai train aswell
I really love the community that you guys have created from 3 friends in LA. Please continue what you are doing!
Omg haven’t seen dora in so long she was one of the original people I zoomed with during covid times and she truly is an amazing person! I have yet to meet her in person! Soon i hope! I remember dora for her outfits and support during covid, I saw a different animal onesie every-time we had an event, it brightened everyone day! And I truly appreciate you Dora Babanovic! I love you yes fam and thanks yes theory!
“I don’t care if they don’t watch yes theory I just want people to live it” felt the true purpose-driven intentions in that, great to see
I love your experiences!
I’d love to go on one, but as someone who has major mobility issues, there are so many place I cannot physically go… so I watch where you go. I did go on a European tour once, but didn’t get to do everything because there was no access available for someone like me. The long distance walking & all the stairs are what held me back.
You guys give me so much hope for the future world to come. I truly want to connect more and I love making connections everywhere I go because there is a reason we are not alone. Thank you for giving so many people in this world a family to connect with 🌻
So many people are commenting about the lack of rights for women in the UAE, and I would just like to say that as a woman having grown up in the UAE, and still living here, I have to say that the progress and determination of providing women with a safe environment and equal rights is extraordinary.
Yours Sincerely,
A Happy Woman living in the UAE :)
can i just say, Bryce and Ammar radiate this calm and sweet energy..just by their smile and eyes, it's so refreshing to look at🥺❤️
I watch every video of you guys, because i love the way you think and how you tend to be very aware of your interactions and how you treat people.
Who told you Dubai is heaven? Every country has a weakness. Stop complaining about everything like u live in paradise
They aren't the only RUclipsrs/influencers right now either. Money talks.
👏 thank you for bringing this up
Last time I checked, residential homes aren't being bombed in Dubai.
The only discomfort I get is from watching someone like Ammar praising Dubai.
"Something I really admire about the UAE is that they have very strong emphasis on the future being female"
Really sad to see a channel that I respect so much sell out to such a terrible degree. That one statement speaks volumes about the values you guys really have as opposed to the ones you preach.

The museum of the future is truly amazing. Thank you I have never seen anything like it, Everything was amazing
I recently watched a video of the same building with a Heli going in and here you are exploring the whole building. That's some coincidence....
it has a clip of that in the begining of this video
That clip is fake.
9:06 the pause on Ammar looking at the Pyramids made me so happy.
So cool to hear the Afrikaans and the South African accent at the Balloon ride part 😁 Rep South Africa✌
I find them inspirational.
@Martin Hefferman so that makes it a win win

Yes Theory, I think you should look into Mahbouba Seraj who runs a women's shelter in Afghanistan.
She has stood up for the rights of women who now sadly because the Taliban have taken over, have little to no rights left.

@@RandomDescr and money
I also volunteered in Africa where the organization took me so there were no fees I gave my two hands and willingness to help and they gave the trip, food and shelter.. most organizations ask for money, but still, it’s possible to find solution to everything if you don’t have the amount.. go! :)

I think its optimistic to say we're making it to 2071
Same :(
not really. humans have survived some quite terrible crisis' with much smaller population numbers. we'll be fine.
there's a psychological phenomenon where humans tend think they're gonna be alive to witness the end of the world
My literary guy.....Ammar ⚡⚡⚡..I love how you pronounce that word...the best part of it ...is that you say it all the time... atleast in all the videos...yessss.
Here's hoping those who live to see 2071 will live to see a world as hopeful as the Building of the Future has envisioned for that time even if the exact vision doesn't quite come true! Remember that even 'Star Trek' in the 1960's and 'Star Trek: The Next Generation' (in the 1980's-90's) didn't predict the internet despite the earliest building blocks for it already being in place!
