I planned for this to only be one video, but after filming and editing, the final video was over 2 hours long! (There's a lot to learn about Tagalog questions!) So, I decided to break up the video into 3 different parts. In Part ONE of this Tagalog lesson, we will learn how to ask the Tagalog questions: What, Why, & Where. We will learn the different types of sentences structures used to formulate questions. We will also practice using different pronouns while incorporating nouns in these questions. Lastly, we will do lots of practice questions to apply what we've learned.

I really want to thank you for putting these classes online. I have been learning Tagalog on and off kasi Pinay yang asawa ko. Having tried many different resources (numerous books, websites, teachers on italki, etc.) your lessons truly are the best material I have come across. Your structure, easy explanations, useful examples and drills are a blessing. Please continue, I - certainly amongst many others - really appreciate your work!

That's interesting how this word /Ano' is used as a filler. Growing up, I remember hearing my Ilocano speaking relatives using "Kwan" in the same way Ano is used. "Get the kwan" I used to laugh about it because it sounded like the person was forgetful or absent minded. Salamat po Ate Pat! Looking forward to more lessons and hopefully I can participate in your live streams. I really need to start speaking Tagalog frquently.

this has been really helpful because at my classroom my teachers speak Tagalog when we are learning it. so like what's the point of learning if your already speaking it?. so that's why i came here to learn and i already been speaking fluently in my mind because I'm too scared to talk Tagalog to others because i might say something wrong or bad grammar.

I was wondering why I hear “ano” used a lot by Tagalog speakers. Thankyou for clarifying that.

16:00 I thought it would be Nina. What is the reason that nila is used instead of Nina? Is it related to whether a sentence is subject or object focused?

Why is ginagawa used in the question as an -IN verb, but in the response it is gumagawa, an -UM verb?
