The floors and the dealers have no clue what they are doing. Somebody should tell Jack Effel to stop focusing on his body and concentrate on his poorly trained employees.
What did they do wrong this guy said he was talking crap because he didn’t like the ruling and was aware of time he said there was a count down but was too chicken too call
The floor can only rely on what the dealer told him so the dealer was the only one who got it wrong. Mark admitted he got flustered though and he had 20 seconds but chose to plead and whine rather than make the call. You could probably draw a parallel between this and an athlete getting a technical foul for whining to a ref. Mark really fucked himself over when he could've easily called and had plenty of time.
Nah, folding 88 and AQ to 3 bets is standard, unless you have a read or the player has been overly aggressive. Plus, you don't understand the chip situation. The 2 biggest stacks in a tournament this early, are not supposed to clash like this. Both had chips to catapult them into a deep run in the event. He was dealing with a wild and Inexperienced player, he had every right to take his time with the decision*
The wsop floor staff gets worse and worse every year, they have e dealers that should not be dealing and floor guys who need anger management. They stand there on their high horse and just abuse the players with their irrational sections and behavior.
No dealers,,,no tournaments or limited entrants,,,,sorry but true,,,,You can tell if a dealer is new on the first hand dealt, so if the dealer is new then watch the table like a hawk
Having thought about my playing style - quick, when I do have to think about a decision, I am going over the betting action v opponent's history as the cards have already done their talking. I think 90 seconds is a fair amount of time to allow for a decision if you want to push the action. I don't think I have ever called clock on a person in 20 years of playing. Whether you agree with calling clock or not, I do appreciate that the player offered an apology to ease the tension moving forward at the table. And from other comments and video, it seems that the players have played together in the past.
50% of dealers inside poker room or casinos are terrible dealers. some dealers like to socialize more on the table than players. some can't shuffle or riffle correctly. some dealers have built up negative energy towards certain players due to various reasons maybe like, the way the player folded his cards or said something weird to the dealer. If floormen are only going to consult a dealer to make their final decision then most poker players would be screwed over in the long run. its Poker lolz
That’s what i was thinking. It’s a great spot to get it in…likely flush draw against trips or two pair. Both still strong and totally live hand. Heck you could be racing a weaker flush draw or overpair where your A is live! Should not take long to act either way.
Well Mark, 2 ways to look at it. You gotta not get yourself eliminated from the event over it. The other way to look at it, was that he was most certainly trying to bait you. Best case scenario, he has KJ of Clubs, but he probably had an overpair or a set

Yea, just horrendous dealers. I get it how staffing is a huge issue that will never get fixed- anyone with a pulse can deal at the WSOP, but in that place greedy WSOP should cap the tournaments
Dealers are terrible because the demand far outweighs the supply of adequate dealers. If another casino ran tournaments as big as the WSOP, they would need the same amount of dealers and have the exact same problem.
What a baby. He had plenty of time to make a decision. Additionally putting in half your stack in a heads up 3 bet pot and then folding on the flop when you flop 2 overs and the nut flush draw is absurd. This was a snap call. If he's taking this long with a trivial decision imagine when he has a real decision. This entire thing is Seif being an entitled baby.
Agreed. Stfu and call or fold. Most of the time people know wtf they’re gonna do in the first 15 seconds. They just need more time to drag out the dramatics.
It takes 10 seconds maximum to make this poker decision, If you’re trying to ladder up and guarantee a little more $$$$ its a fold. However, if your goal is to win the top $$$ and more importantly the bracelet this is a SNAP CALL!

After 90 seconds I would say that’s enough time to call the clock. You should be given a minute though unless you are doing this all the time. It’s a tournament, I’m probably going to call the clock too at 90 seconds. I have no issues doing this is a big pot cash game either but you should give the guy a minute from when it is called. One old guy I play with often he does this on purpose for his advantage he’ll sit there for fifteen minutes if you’ll let him. At $2/5 cash for $1000 so yeah even if I’m not in the pot I’ll still call clock on a guy like that after a minute. And in a wsop tourney I’d call clock on anyone after a minute. Buddy was well within his rights to do so and I don’t blame him whatsoever. I like playing 20 hands an hour. Not 3.

Agreed but the clocks need to be way shorter than they currently are in the events that have them.

They were probably arguing for the first 40 seconds.
This was changed. You have 20 seconds because you have already been given enough time.
