Great question! Going off the manufacturers recommendation it should be taken with the meal or up to one hour after the meal. Theres something called a half life when it comes to all medications. This is the time it takes for half of the drug to be metabolized (in this case removed from the body). Alli has a one hour half life. So taking it one hour before means by the time you eat half of the drug is gone.

@@reppinNY Exactly! And you don't need to wait the one hour. And you can take it with the meal as well or WITHIN one hour. Not one hour after. My apologies for the confusion.

@@MediMind-Pharmacy ohhhh so it like if I eat at 5pm just make sure you drink during those hour that’s like saying drink the pills 30min after a meal and 30 min because it still on that hour I can drink at 5:30 if I eat at 5 I got it because I was so confused like why it not working I even use to eat grease food to test it out it wasn’t pooping oily so for me im like alli not working anymore or i did something wrong i use to drink it before meal so now you explain imma start monday if I lose weight I’ll come back here and let you know

The package insert does not mention any gluten contents, However if you do have any GI issues, such as a gluten intolerance, I highly suggest you speak with your GI specialist before trying anything over the counter.
