  • Hello there!
    AH! how nice!
i am on a bike again.
after a couple of years not riding
    getting into it again.
and generally trying to get a feel for the bike.
    bought a Kawasaki ER6F 2012 used with about 4000km.
    so almost new.
i ve been riding a long time already but havent been riding the past 4 years. my last bike was the classic suzuki bandit 600.
a couple of months ago it suddenly hit me.
i felt an overwhelming urge to get on a motorcycle.
so i waited a couple of weeks and then finally decided
    to get a bike.
i new i didnt want to get a 4 cylinder engine.
    since i already had one.
and also i am not really into superbikes.
a literbike is not in my skillset yet.
so from there it was an easy process.
i arrived at the Kawasaki Er6f.
took it for a test drive and felt right at home on it.
Plenty power. good looks. and a fun engine character.
in this video i am going for a ride around my area.
trying to get comfortable with the bike.
the steering. the shifting. the powerband.
you see me doing a lot of little mistakes.
but after about 500km on the bike i already feel much
    more confident again.
i dont drive fast. i want to enjoy myself.
    spamming dat indicator button...
the video is practically raw. i left the ambient sound
just the way it came out of the camera mic.
    cut the boring bits out.
the resulting video feels almost like when i was riding.

I noticed that you keep pressing the indicator cancel switch even when they are off. I do the same thing! Cancel on!

Thank you for sharing. I'm thinking about getting a 2012 ER6F rather than one of the newer Ninja 650's as a first 'big' bike. Any tips?

I have just bought an ER-6F / Ninja 650 - so psyched to take it out for it's first ride.
That near car crash was, err, interesting!
Looks like a great place to ride. Jealous.

Hey David! thanks for the comment. i wasnt doing anything on the channel in 6months or so.. I hope you had a lot of fun with your new bike. i certainly look back happy on 2014. the silver car was steered by an old lady. typical...

im planning to buy 600cc bike too but the ninja 650cc sounds like a 150cc bike for me.

Hi! Nice video! Im actually looking at this bike as my first. Seems easy to manouver and ride. How comfortable are your legs on the bike and did you try riding it with a passenger behind you? Does it go just as smooth too?
    Thanks

Nice Video! I didnt expect that it was the stock exhaust which was mounted on, because it sounds much better then in other comparable videos. I think the video was taken in germany, wasn't it?
I want to buy an ER-6F too, when i've done my license. =)
    Greetings, Heiko

Hi there! thanks. i am just learning to make videos like this. its quite fun.
maybe i am going to do another video on the sound someday. but this is pretty much how it sounds while driving.
The 650 is really good for beginners!
and yes its Germany - Holledau. :)

Hey Tomas, the wind protection is pretty good. i usually avoid the autobahn. but even there it seems to be rather nice. i recommend.
