- One of the greatest dangers we face each day as believers is slowly allowing God’s influence over our lives to wane. This condition makes God weightless in our lives. He no longer weighs upon every thought, every choice, and every action of our day.
I wonder how many of us this morning really think that this message is for us. Before we dive in, perhaps we should do a little test for what may be called:
THE GREAT DISCONNECT
First, we think, what is the title of today’s message? The Discipline of Time: “Rejecting Profane & Empty Living” (1 Timothy 4:7a)
“Hmmm”, we think, “not sure that I am involved in anything profane (whatever that is), or that I am living in any way that is empty”.
So, that means I don’t have to really think much about the next 45 minutes. Right?
That is the exercise that takes place, almost unconsciously across America in Bible-teaching churches each week. People sit there, notice the topic, do a quick assessment, and tune in to other thoughts while they sit through the message.
But now, we need to go on and do the test to determine whether God has become “weightless” in our lives. This test is simple:
How much do God and His Word, directly challenge me,
into changing the way I think and act on a daily basis?
IS GOD WEIGHTLESS IN YOUR LIFE?

I finally understand this in its truest form. Because I hate the world, I am better able to love the father. Thats my recent revelation.
The world doesn’t excite me at all. Some may say I’m depressed, and to be totally honest, living in this world fills me with sadness, the only hope I have is that of God and the things of God. I have a long way to go in my walk with Christ but because I’ve reached this deep revelation that I feel this sadness because I truly hate this world, I’m able to completely love the Father and I believe this is what this scripture means. God made me realise this yesterday.
This is the difficulty.
I have to abstain from bright, colorful and exciting pretend things that don't exist and instead sit and stare at a silent, grey cinder block wall and keep telling myself that's better.....because its real.
Such is the cost of biblical spirituality versus carnal escapism.
You can decorate those grey cinder walls a little and be better off with your mental health, God doesn’t want us depressed.

Educational biblical and wisdom...feeds the soul. I believe, in anyone's season in life....one grows stagnant. Light hearted convictions of the wretchedness of an individual, doesn't dispel the sin nature(cough, vaping). What is perceived as light can outweigh anything tonnage known to man. Crying, depressed Jeremiah.... murderous Samson......I will not even begin to teach but I do, with a click of a button.... sermon's coming to it's AI life with encouragement and conviction. Think of the pink goo elephant on the Internet. Peter Paul and Mary....Chanel scented number 5 bottle hair, all.....day. That's my only clap back. Preach on, Sir.❤❤

I have lots of resent ment toward people in my life who has done wrong to me in the past. I have dark thoughts & I wish them harm to them I know this happened years ago, but for me is like just happen today. I just cannot forgive them because I feel that if I forgive them then the evil they did to me is ok and they will not be accountable for the wrong they did and I forgiving them allows them to go on with their lives to do the same to other people because they did not learned any lesson from the evil they did because they were not hold accountable for their actions. Can God help me with this? Can he restore menow right now? but God takes tooo long to do anything that's why people loose hope.
You have to forgive. There are no exceptions to that. Jesus told us that.
I hope this helps. Went through a rough divorce got screwed over to kids taking dog taken barely get to see them you know that whole spiel? But every day I do feel worn out of enduring because I have to forgive her every stupid action she takes that still is detrimental to the kids and myself other words her selfish ways that she'll never take accountability for. I capture every thought prayed away, I forgive her every time every thought, I have to forgive myself to for my actions even if I did nothing wrong somehow, and I have to ask the almighty Lord for forgiveness. It's a constant thing in many days I'm battling with hope myself and then I do good I stay out of sand I go tell people about God and then the spiritual war kicks in so that's another part of it. It's a constant battle. Are the one last thing I hope helps we're very extremely close to the end and we battle with sin everyday because the devil is trying to get at us so bad he'll use the ones that wronged you continuously or find new ones to wrong you it's that constant relationship with Jesus the Lord the Holy Spirit and yeah I feel a man or woman not sure what you are, but I feel you on it it's a constant daily battle where I feel like losing hope and giving up to but holding there this crap is almost done and over with and we'll get to live eternity with no sin no sickness no nothing and it's extremely hard to keep our eyes on the prize to keep our eyes on Jesus as we're walking on the water how to. Again I hope this helps and I hope you don't give up hope and I hope you understand I'm right there with you even though our problems are different and we can probably understand each other 99.99% that zero point zero 1% is a whole another Universe between you and I only God knows. So thoughts and prayers keep strong
they will go on with their lives doing the same to others whether you forgive them or not. Forgiving someone often doesn't help them but it definately helps the forgiver to heal and move on from the pain. Whenever I struggle with forgiveness I think of our Lord Jesus in agony on the cross, being jeered at, and spat on, by the very people he was suffering for. and yet, some of his final words were "Father forgive them for they know not what they do". xx
"I just cannot forgive them because I feel that.... " My dear, never act on your "feeling", you have to act on God's command as written in Matt 6:14. Jesus didn’t command it because He is a "hard teacher", but because He is Loving, and caring for His children. He KNOWS that resentment in our hearts will kill us! Spiritually and mentally, and even physically. Forgiveness is to set US (yourself) free so that you can be available for HIs purpose. Trust Him on this. Forgiveness however is a CHOICE only you can make for yourself in obedience to God's command. Let go of your "feeling" and or idea to take revenge, or that YOU or I may SEE, HOW and WHEN they will be held accountable. See Rom 12:19. After choosing to forgive, (how hard it may seem) but remember the Holy Spirit will help you with this, because it is God's will that we forgive, pray and ask that the Holy Spirit will help you to pray for those people's salvation, just as Jesus did on the cross. I discovered every time I choose to humbly obey my heavenly Father, VICTORY sets in! Trust your heavenly Father.
Forgive yourself for any anger, then visualize the same full forgiveness for others. Sometimes resentment will return but just keep releasing it to Jesus who has saved, redeemed, cleansed and healed you so you can once again trust. They may again try to hurt you, but you belong to Christ now. When needed be alone with the cross for awhile. Pray without ceasing in anyway you feel God hears best. Some say, "help Lord." Some say, " bless them, " and some say , "Give me strength! " or "I have Christ's perfect peace..." because when you walk by faith, not sight, then you do :) 🕊🌅🌱🎶⚱He will never leave you or forsake you.

REVELATION 21:8 - *"...murderers, ...and idolaters, and all liars, shall have their part in the lake which burns with fire and brimstone: which is the second death. (spiritual death)*
If you had read the Bible, Jesus chose Paul. Since you reject Paul then you reject Jesus.
