I've been a member for a little more than 30 years. (I think the year was '85.) Anyway, happy birthday...and a pinch to grow an inch!
Congratulations on this wonderful milestone! It's thanks to the 1984 Oprah Winfrey clip that I know about this channel and your worthy organisation. That certainly wasn't a sympathetic audience, and you could see Oprah struggling to maintain an impartial appearance! Also interesting to see the FFRF's role in other social issues. I'm surprised this channel doesn't have more subscribers - could it be because the channel title doesn't mention "Freedom" or "Religion"? I see there is a "Freedom From Religion Foundation" channel, which has only the Ron Reagan ad. Thanks for putting together this retrospective, and keep up the good work. :)
Awesome! You're a brave lot. The statement about one's religion shouldn't dictate one's station in life was succinct. I wonder what happened to Rita Bell, and who she was. Not a lot of information on her, although she seemed interesting on Oprah.
I've attended my share of churches over the years, and I've joined a couple, simply because I wanted to belong somewhere. But my atheism was still there, and it's still there today. :)
