A look at the updated entry level Windows 10 Mini PC from Beelink the BT3 Pro. This model offers more RAM v the previous BT3 and also an additional VGA port for compatibility with older monitors and dual monitor support. I find out how it holds up, test includes benchmarks and hands on use as well as an in depth overview and unboxing.

Hi Baz, do you still have the original BT3 and is it serving you well?
I gave it to my sister and she is still using it no problems so far. Only point with these mini PC's is not to do a reset otherwise you have to dig around for drivers (they are out there but takes time to find). The original BT3 is still worth a look, but the extra memory on this model and 64bit OS is useful if it's a replacement pc (and for some it might be fine for that)
Thanks for this man, definitely going to get this for streaming in my new place
It's been OK for me
My 12yrs old son is just beginning his path with computer programming. At the moment it's all very light and easy. Would you suggest this mini PC as an entry level for doing first things with coding, programming, etc?
Performance will be similar to an entry level notebook so assuming that is adequate for his needs, it works exactly the same as a normal computer as far as the OS is concerned. It's a bit more affordable so it should do the job fine
@@MrBazReviews Thanks for your quick reply. I am looking for a low budget PC for my son just to support him with his first practices and exercises with software programming. I am seriously thinking of buying this mini pc. Cheers 🤗
I know it’s an old video. However, can you please tell me if BT3 mini PC has an option in BIOS to schedule auto Boot @ set time? Like APM RTC Alarn on Asus motherboards? Thank you!
I no longer have it, but it didn't have a boot via time schedule option in BIOS just the usual stuff LAN etc
Hi late comment, I might get it for a monitor since I want a computer to use for school since I’m tired of using a mobile device. I would also want to play simple games like Rocket League and Minecraft. Would this pc work fine with them?
It should run both (rocket league will need to lower the settings), minecraft I show in the video it runs fine on this.
It should run both rocket league will need to lower the settings, minecraft I show in the video it run fine on this
I wish mine worked like yours. Hell I wish mine worked period. Can you show how to hook it up? I've tried everything I can think of an the box still won't boot up.
You just power it on it boots up obviously check the HDMI connection if not then return it if it's not working
I guess I am a bit late to be picking this up but $88.00 is a steal over at Ali-Express. I need a cheap 64 Bit OS for my Epilogue GB Operator so I guess this is it. I will be using VGA so that's another plus from this device. Thanks for your review. This should work fine.
For what it can do, it's a bargain really a fully functional computer for a very modest price. Some people expect a bit too much, it's not a gaming pc or a high end rendering workstation. But it can do enough for day to day tasks to be a replacement for many people for a larger PC. I think you will like it
@@MrBazReviews Yeah it's just Gameboy, Gameboy Color and Gameboy Advance that it's going to be running and probably the new TMNT Shredders Revenge game so nothing to strenuous.
Can this pc run gaming emulators? I have one & was thinking of trying it
basic emulators yes it's a few years old this model but they have newer ones
@@MrBazReviews I am after running ppsspp, dolphin & duckstation. Would I be ok running those or would I need something else. I was only going to use it for emulation & nothing else as I don't want to clog up the memory, ect.
@@stehilton35 I am not familiar with those so check the system requirements for them and compare it
Im assuming that since this system will have problems playing the latest pc games that it will have problems editing 4k video. Am I right?
Video editing is CPU intensive sure some can use GPU to help, but this is just an Atom CPU which can't compare to a budget desktop CPU. 4K is going to push a lot of machines. Encoding times are going to be long honestly it's fine for day to day use even an older gen CPU will thrash it. I upgraded from an FX6300 to a Ryzen 5 1600 huge update, the FX6300 can do video OK it hammers the Atom for multi threaded work loads and that came out a good while ago.
My advice is to build a budget pc (even using s/h parts to save cost), this one is for users who do normal non intensive tasks 4K playback fine, 4K encoding or even a lot of video or photo work not going to be a good choice.
Is this still worth it to buy?
They have newer models out, some of them are quite capable of replacing a desktop for some users (in terms of performance), the budget ones are still good enough for many users (obviously not intensive gaming)
Does minecraft still open on this? I looked at the system requirements and wondered if your still able to play minecraft on this PC.

I need a cheap mini pc for one purpose only, to use on location sites of my photo works connecting a legacy printer to my MacBook Pro because since High Sierra OS the 32bit printer drivers are no longer supported.
It should do the job for that there are other ones around at various prices
@@MrBazReviews I just need the cheapest.
@@PauloParreira Have a look around on Amazon etc this was a while ago there are newer ones out there for a bit less
Good for home media server?
It would work fine for that
@@MrBazReviews just need to use external HDD for the storage right
@@ulfricstormcloak7142 Yes you can use any HDD external same as a normal PC works identical to a desktop or notebook
Can I connect an external usb DVD drive to this device to watch movies?
Yes works perfect I used a DVD and Blu Ray external drive without issues on this
@@MrBazReviews wow that's great, thanks for confirming
To what’s the highest FPS can 4gb ram can go
It's not a performance PC you can play some basic games at low ish settings. It's for someone who wants a pc but does normal non gaming stuff
FPS is going to vary per game, this is an Atom CPU and the built in GPU is basic.
Unlimited FPS for Pong
Mr Baz, can you set an option in BIOS that causes the system to boot again when power is restored after a power loss?
BIOS is basic boot priority or wake on LAN, automatic power on boot priority not much else really
Thanks for the reply. So it will not boot if the power is restored? I need a system that can be turned on/off by a timer clock
@@OnlineMartijn Thing is you have to hit the power button to boot it so even if you have it on a timer on the mains power it's not going to boot up until that is hit
Thanks for the reply. Do you know a system you can compare with this one that you can use in combination with a timer?
@@OnlineMartijn Not with a mini pre built PC but I've not used them all just a few. You might be better off with a Mini-ITX build yourself you'll have the BIOS options to enable that. Will cost more no doubt though doesn't have to be ultra expensive
Can you upgrade the ram
No it's soldered into the board
can i hear the sound over hdmi, or just over aux ?!
HDMI carries sound and the 3.5mm you can use that for external speakers either works
@@MrBazReviews thank you !! other question, can i install android as dual boot also (android X86)?
@@DanielS-pz5jq You can try but I advise against it strongly mess up a partition and it will become a brick. Evidently Beelink say no support for Android OS
@@MrBazReviews ok, thank you !!
Can it handle autoCAD?
Older versions maybe, but honestly you want something more powerful for that, it's quite CPU intensive software
There are other mini pc's with faster CPU's I'd look in that direction
Could easily be any other OS installed?
It's possible but I advise against it, if you delete partitions you can brick the system so be very careful
@@MrBazReviews Ok, thanks for the info. So its not a system for me. I'd need something similar to run a small webserver and openhab on it. Too sad.
I just installed Manjaro KDE Linux on it and it runs OK.
Can this support games
Some but don't expect too much it will run Minecraft and some not too new titles at lower settings depends on the game
@@MrBazReviews thanks
Do you know if iRacing will run on this?
No it's below min spec it might run barely but probably not well so I'd go for something more suited
Mr Baz Reviews ok thanks, great video by the way
Is it possible install Ubuntu? Thx
You can try, but be careful if the boot partitions are deleted it could brick the pc
How is this pro? No SATA hard drive caddy & non-existent M.2 slot. I recommend the S1 since it has both M.2 and space for a SATA hard drive up to 2TB along with a micro SD card. Now that's what i call pro...!
I don't pay much attention to the name ie "Pro" part it's probably just to differentiate between the standard BT3 and this Pro sounds nicer doesn't it :-). I agree those features would be nice or maybe just the M.2, then I suppose the price would increase. I've seen a few models around that have a caddy spare for a 2.5" drive.
External Usb Hdd can solve the problem....
I just purchased this off amazon for £129 and it's absolutely rubbish, the system hangs on the simplest of tasks , even while typing this review there is constant lag between typing characters and them appearing on the screen., will be sending it back to amazon abruptly.
Obviously there must be a fault if it's hanging or freezing the heatsink might be the problem. I can only comment on what I test, and I ran stress tests/benchmarks I didn't notice any issues if I did I'd happily show them
Probably Windows 10 updates were running.
Can support remote play ps4?
CPU is below the suggested performance it might work but you really need a more powerful processor
how many chrome tabs ?
It will start to page if you have tons open, 4GB is fine for most uses open up 10-15 seems to run OK
Will league of legends run on this ??
There are sites that list the min requirements I suggest you visit them and compare the specs
@@MrBazReviews Thanks man ! I will see
did it work? sameee thought
can the ram be upgradable
Ram no you can't upgrade it
Thank-you
Will cs go work on this
It will run on this just keep the settings at modest levels
Did it come with office?
Just a trial version I'd go with LibreOffice using it for years open source and it's more than good enough for most users.
Mr Baz Reviews is LibreOffice free, and can you open LibreOffice documents on word?
Yes free and Office from 2016 onwards has support for open document format. Libre Office can open word documents too (and other formats excel etc.) I have not used MS Office for many years it's nice but Libre Office is plenty good enough for many users and free is always nice
Mr Baz Reviews hey man i got mine and it keeps randomly shutting down while running youtube or any progams
Mr Baz Reviews any ideas for a fix?
can play ROS OR PUBG?
Check the min system requirements for those games, this isn't bad but it's still an Atom CPU so some basic gaming is fine, not going to compete v an entry level desktop CPU
im planning to buy that thing . save space and very convineint
It's not bad for what it is there are faster ones out there (better CPU etc) but for normal day to day use it's probably good enough for many ie web/browsing/media etc.
Hola buen día , puede estarse zoom cloud Meetings con este producto alguien lo ha probado? Por favor ayudarme
It will work as as normal PC so yes for Zoom it will do
@@MrBazReviews thanks man.
Can it run like roblox or fortnite?
Because I just bought one on Amazon
@@ayodevin4017 Bit below min spec on Fortnite but will probably run lower the settings, Roblox well above min requirements
I'm only watching to see if it actually functions like a computer
Well it does, except of course you've no real hardware upgrades at least not internal you can do. Works just like any other pc, scanners, printers, web cameras etc
Still worth it 2020..
Just to watch movies
Probably not because it's really a mini pc for someone who wants a computer at a low cost/size. For movies streaming you're better off bang per buck with an android box, unless you're going to use it for other things where a box is limited
@@MrBazReviews Thanks for the input.
I installed Manjaro KDE Linux on it, it's OK for media consuming like watching Netflix. Just a little better than Windows 10.
Does roblox run on this??
Yup it will run OK on this
Mr Baz Reviews will it have any lagging
@@leftblea7692 Roblox isn't demanding on computers so it will run fine on this
Will fortnite run on this?
No it's below min requirements in processor , it might run it at very low settings but I'd suggest something more powerful
Okay thanks
This pc can playa fortnite
It might run it but it's below min system requirements
Can you run fortnite on it
No you need 8GB ram and more GPU power it's alright for Minecraft or some older games bout it
@@MrBazReviews ok
