My dad loves the Scorpions. He raised me and siblings to this band and we loved them to. Matthias Jabs' solo on Rock you like a Hurricane is my all time favorite guitar solo ever.

One of the finest double live albums I own. Bought in 85’ after hearing “Big City Nights”. Almost 40 years on, this is still a monstrous masterpiece. 🎤🎸🥁🦂🕺❤️🔥

Saw them in ‘85 Dallas Reunion Arena. Up in the cheap seats… we bought from a scalper. It’s still is one of the best rock shows I’ve ever seen. They really delivered. A concert like this today would still deliver.
The Scorpions are not a heavy metal band just a Dam good hard rock band
that can still stand over any band in 2000 and ON and ON.

Growing up as a teen in the 80s I can say that "WORLD WIDE LIVE" was and remains one of my absolute favorite live records. I had it on vinyl and the interesting thing about 'WWL" was the louder you turned it up, the better it sounded. I loved the fact that Rudy's guitar was in the left speaker and Matthias' guitar in the right. The production was so good that you could lay on your bed and turn the album up and feel as if you were at a Scorpions show. Klaus is correct in the above interview: you can feel the energy and excitement in this album. I could go on and on about how much "WORLD WIDE LIVE" means to me but I have rambled on too long. Hey Scorpions! Much love to ya'll from Tennessee!
The live crowd is randomly mixed in. It is not the natural responds from the crowd. Don't believe everything they tell you.

It's my dad's favorite band!! I became a formal metalhead at the moment when he showed me Blackout and he said to me: These are my idols especially that guy (pointing at Matthias Jabs). I must have been 7 years old at that time and since then to now, that I'm 21 I have been emotionally moved by the FIRE AND POWER OF HEAVY METAL. And I can assure I will be for the rest of my life!!! ¡¡LONG LIVE THE SCORPIONS!!
This was one of THE tapes to have and lend to classmates when it came out. I just about wore it out in my walkman.

I have told many people that I think WWL is the best Live recording of a rock show out there. Some live recordings capture the band's playing perfectly but leave out the excitement from the audience. Others capture the crowd noise well but then the band sounds muffled. World Wide Live struck the balance so well. I've never gotten to see the Scorps live but long before I ever saw one of their performances on video and later DVD and RUclips, I attended this one hundreds of times in my head due to this awesome recording! Thanks for uploading this video!

One of my favorite live albums! It was so tight and sounded great turned up loud! Sure I still Jam to it! I was far to the left during the US Festival before we left before Van Halen because my ride home hates David Lee Roth! Love the Scorpions forever!

Been a fan since around 1982 or so and have been fortunate to see them perform live about 3 times in Toronto. WWL is still one of my all time favorite live albums and I've still got it and a lot of their catalog on my iPhone.

Bands like Scorpions which achieve global fame show how music brings people across the world together. Politics, religion, borders, and everything else divides people. Music brings people together. Music won't ever let you down. Music and art are the only truly good things humanity creates.

In 1983 a friend of mine across the street gave me his copy of black out and told me to listen to it. I fell in love with the band at that time. I have seen them every time they have come to Los Angeles since love at first sting tour. Many times I have even traveled to see them in places such as San Diego, and Las Vegas. While they were in Los Angeles for the salvage amusement tour, I had the pleasure of meeting them at the Rainbow Bar and Grill in Hollywood. They were so friendly and down to earth. I still have the $20.00 that they signed for me. It’s framed in my office. I was sad when the Vegas residency for July 2020 was canceled. But waiting for them to reschedule it.

To this day I am still amazed by the awesome sound quality of this album. Back in 1985 I bet this album was one the best sounding live recordings of that year. Maybe it has to do with the fact that it was rated as a "DDD" SPARS code album (Digital tape recorder used during initial recording, mixing/editing and for mastering). which was very rare at that time and was only introduced a year before.
It is actually not very good mixed. The sound is like a box with too much hall-ambience. The audience is randomly mixed in on places with empty spots.
I assure you that the overwhelming majority of fans of double live hard rock / metal albums have nothing bad at all to say about the listening experience afforded by 𝑊𝑜𝑟𝑙𝑑 𝑊𝑖𝑑𝑒 𝐿𝑖𝑣𝑒.
