I'm not American and I'm nowhere near there, but I am a busy editor on an award-winning newspaper, having also worked with several award-winning journalists at a number of publications down the decades, so perhaps I have some relevant experience to comment here.
And a 'fabulous reporter', he is not.
He's just another typically malignant Fox News grifter and charlatan, peddling blatant misinformation, fawning over Trump, and not showing even the slightest pretence of impartiality or hostility towards Trump and co.
I remind my own journalists regularly that even when we like politicians personally, and at a personal level, we are *not* their friends, and we're *not* there to just pass on what they want us to say. We *are* journalists to ask them hard questions, to be sceptical and critical, and to ask politicians tough, even aggressive things which ordinary people will be thinking and asking.
Where's any of *that* basic journalistic outlook from Ducey, or any - Any - of the Fox News crew?
Why isn't Ducey asking about Trump prompting official rebukes and warnings from the EU, and individual members such as Spain, France, Germany and Denmark/Greenland over borders and sovereignty?
Silence.
Where are the probing questions about *how* exactly Trump proposes to drive down inflation and lower costs?
Silence.
Where are the follow-up questions on the dire warnings of domestic and international economists on the impact of tariffs for American consumers, to whom all such tariff costs will be passed directly on to by companies and importers?
Silence.
I could easily continue. I'm not interested in any cheap, facile Whatabouttery about other media in, say, MSNBC or CNN etc al - sharp, focused points have been made above, and just as I'd expect from my journalists and contributors, I expect focused answers on the above.
Peter Ducey - to turn full circle - never, ever acts like an actual reporter, and never, ever asks such relevant, harsh - but fair - questions of Trump and his acolytes.
He appears to be merely another Fox saboteur, cut from the same frat boy cloth as disgraced Matt Gaetz or George Santos, in place merely to disrupt other than do his job properly and fully.

I've met British people here in America. One lived here and the other was visiting. The one who lived here said he always knew he was a redneck at heart. The visitor said he is surprised how different America is compared to television. He was enjoying his stay. He said he just needed to get used to driving.
