Thanks for the videos Melissa! I have a question. I pay very close attention to fingerspelling since it's one of the hardest features of ASL. I can't help but say it looks like when you spell words, you leave letters out in a lot of the longer ones. Do you have any suggestions for those of us trying to get to an advanced level of FS reading? I know we're supposed to look at the whole word and not individual letters, but unless they're common lexicalized ones, I'm not expecting letters to be left out and that affects my brain's reading capabilities, but I've seen it with a lot of CODAs and Deaf people. Any thoughts?
Also, would you ever think about doing an advanced FS receptive pracitice for us RUclipsrs? Thanks!

Hello Rebecca, thats a great idea. A quick tip for you... well there is "clear and clean" fingerspelling... but a trick is to watch the shape of the word. Like "Bird" if you know the context of what is being signed... then you see a letter B (small letters i r) D. You can see its Bird. The fingerletters shape go up tall, then small. A great example would be DRINK SODA-POP Fsp. Pepsi I WANT So SODA POP (thats the topic and you can identify this with eye brows raised) PePsi (You will see P small letter P small letters and the shape of Pepsi! I hope that makes sense.. hard to type in text. Fsp helpful Video in the cue! :)
