Your video helped me out a lot. At 6:16 Look at that you got the hose clamp precisely back into its original position on the hose. This is a sign of a very careful mechanic. Well done Man.
We always remove the front bumper is the shop so we can get closer to it . Its only 4 bolts and 4 plastic clips on the bottom of the plastic shield below . Its worth the time removing it . trust me
No i didn't need to top up as i didn't loose any fluid but check the level after fitting and top up if required..i did not re bleed, i am not aware of there being a bleed valve
depends on the clearance, on models with bigger engines some radiators will have to be taken out through the bottom, there is a mounting bracket bolted to the subframe which can be removed. It may be possible to remove from above by removing air intakes, batteries, etc to gain better access and clearance. if you have air con secure condenser with cable ties to front cross member to support when removed hope this helps
Mine doesn't have air con but process is pretty much the same.. Think you just have to unattach air con rad and and cable tie it to front cross bar out the way while you change out radiator
Yes had a leak for a while and after using radweld quite a few times the leak continued to appear so decided to replace as not an expensive part to buy
There is a lot of different sizes wich include with and without airco for example . You need to measure your radiator first . Some are only half the size and some are big depending on your astra setup . The brands that make them are mostly aftermarket ones wich have a wide variaty of different ones available for you .

Good video!! Love that you don’t talk and still show EVERYTHING!! Awesome videO!
Great Video! Really helped me out today. I still can't believe how time consuming it was to change on an Astra.

Hello from Russia, man! You and your video is very cOOL! Thank u very much! Very helpfull....
thank you happy it helped
Here's a tip: Using diluted washing up liquid to help get the rubber hoses back on. Makes it much easier
You have to remove AC, and charge it again with coolant?
Did u have to top the transmission fluid up after reconnecting and did u have to re bleed the trans fluid I'm doing mine soon

We have opel astra g and we had to take off the bumper for the radiator
Would it be the same procedure for the 2.2 ecotec? It seems a lot tighter when I observe my radiator and which way it should come out.

@@seansautos152 thankyou ill have a go and try and figure it out, iv ordered the AC radiator from eurocarparts.
How different is it than the mk5 version? About to replace mine as well
Should be very similar in principle apart from if the car has air con you would have to unattach air con rad
I don't quite like mute mechanics. Good video nonetheless.
What was the problem with the old one? Leaking fluid?
Yes had a leak for a while and after using radweld quite a few times the leak continued to appear so decided to replace as not an expensive part to buy
Hi can you tell me the brand of radiator, thanks :-)

I don't know any practical lesson where the teacher didn't explain as they were going.
It would help if you talked a bit so I knew what was going on
Sorry mate was one of my first videos.. Any questions just ask and I will try to help
