Yeah. I still remember Solas's sorrow for everything the elves lost because of past tragedies. The way the Library in the fade is shattered, the knowledge lost, the lives sacrificed. I feel empathy for him in some way.
Thank you, someone who appreciates soundtracks and the HUGE work that goes into these works. THANK YOU !! I so agree with you, even 6 years later ;P I actually am playing it right now, and the game stil holds up so well. Very powerful game and definitly ahead of its time. Wonderful story/music.
I love just putting this on a loop in the dark when I'm tired enough to not want to move but awake enough to keep just at the boundary between sleep and serenity. Absolute bliss.
She certainly is on top of the list somewhere. Personally, I think Mordin from ME was the best. Simply because of his whole arc. The way he did something morally questionable, then trying so hard to justify his deeds, only to reach the point where no longer lied to himself and faced the facts. And his arc concluded by him dying to set things right. It was brilliant. It feels like a lot of other BioWare characters never had their arc conclude, leaving them behind of sorts.
@@bugsydelrosario5940 10 years I came back to it. Such a shame gems like these were not on OST. Don't talk about CD limitations. Anyone put whole score on the internet digitally these days.
Thank you so much for this upload. This is by far my favorite piece in the Dragon Age Inquisition OST, but it's not on the official CD :( Thank you so much for having it here :)
I really like this song because it's calming, and a bit reminds me a lot of one of the tracks in The Last Samurai, which was a fantastic soundtrack by Hans Zimmer.
Hearing this piece while hearing Morrigan say how most of them ate broken, it just makes you feel sad. This is a whole world lost. The world of the ancient elves. And it also helps you understand Solas's motivation better. Like, how could he not want to restore the world of his people? His actions are completely justified.
Justified? No. Understandable? Yes. Trying to restore something that has been long lost by stealing that very thing from hundreds of thousands of souls, is by no means justified.
@@areejsyed4182 well it's how you use the word really.. what I mean is he has reasons for what he is doing and believes he has no choice, so he is justified in that sense, from his perspective. Maybe saying "completely justified" is too much, because other people's perspectives have to be considered, but my point is he has valid reasons and hence he can be redeemed.
@@areejsyed4182 to be fair tho... "I woke up in a world of tranquils..." he consider the ancient elves to be superior, for him the entirety of Thedas is expendable... or it was at least
@@areejsyed4182 If Solas sees his people dying out i don't blame him for trying to save his race. If i had the choice to save humanity for the expence of three other species i would choose humanity. In the end your people are all that matters truly.
While it is using this same part, The Lost Temple has a soft chime in the background and some sudden bass drops accompanied by extra instruments, violins for example. This version is clearer and slower, The Lost Temple is faster paced and more beautiful. Because there are still some differences, I felt like I should add this version to the collection as well. ^.^
Thanks so much for sharing all these amazing tracks from DAI that aren't on the OST. =) I don't suppose you're still open to requests? If you are, I'd love to hear one of the ambient tracks from Trespasser DLC, the one when you're exploring the Shattered Library. It's a very quiet track that's not on the OST but still beautiful and melancholy nonetheless. Thanks a bunch!
I am happy you enjoyed the music. It has been so long since I've read any requests, you actually surprised me. :) To tell you the truth, I didn't dwelve into the DLC sounds, mostly because they got released (and I stopped playing with the game after Jaws of Hakkon). Of course, I'll see what I can do with the ambient one you mentioned. If it is not up already by someone else, I'd be happy to get it done. Thank you for mentioning it.
It is done, I am sorry about my lateness, had a lot of things going around. Thank you for your suggestion, greatly appreciated. The track was indeed really low, had to boost it a little, which made the background hissing noise louder as well. Still, not that annoying, I hope. For Renegade fans why wasn't there an option to Kill Morrigan when the Inquisitor found out she wanted the Well of Sorrows power for herself! Because if you think about it if Morrigan Dies her Son will eventually Avenge her death and be hunted by the Inquisition!
This will be great and perfect for a stealth mission, but not to assassinate the enemies. But only knock them out if necessary. And find secret informations by reading notes and secret information documents. Would be a perfect song for a stealth mission.
There is such a profound sadness in this track. I get melancholic every time I listen to it.

The sadness of Arlathan and everything that was lost.

When I was walking through Storm Coast and listened to this track I really enjoyed the exploring. It gave me the feeling of misteriousness.
Oh my god i was looking EVERYWERE for this. There is a small fraction of this in "the Lost Temple" of the OST, but this, THANK YOU!
Morrigan is in my opinion, one of the best writting characters in gaming.
Agreed. Solas and Flemeth too for me
