I really think that many idols both junior and senior would listen to BTS songs for mental care purpose because they actually can relate to so many of BTS songs, like when Taeyeon - SNSD posted a picture screenshoting her music platform to be BTS Idol with its lyrics. I feel like some Kpop artists (and more) can feel comforted and grow stronger thru these songs. So it's really not just admiration from junior groups but much more

Well they aren't wrong. 1D is one of the most iconic bands of all time, had greater influence than Beatles. There was a time when 1D getting nominated for an award means they're winning it. BTS is also like them. The best boyband now. Very influential and cute too. I love both.
The first boy band that i love is 1d. Spent my teenage years fangirling over them. Felt a huge loss when they no longer produce music together. Now, loving bts is reliving my past memories..

Just because the idols get along doesn't mean the fandoms does as well. There are many factors. The image of kpop fandoms as colorful, rainbow, and family is just an idealistic view. Respectively we can support each other but there are times that defies that. We support own faves. That's why there are many misunderstandings. We want the best for our faves. Yeah idols get along but fandoms are another story.
There are times we will support others but there are times others tell is to mind our business. Therefore, we tend to support our faves only cuz that's all that matters on the long run.
