- This is a mini documentary on how the hairstyles of Marie Antoinette changed history and about the man who created the lavish hairstyles. You will see the rise and fall of these two prominent figures during the French Revolution and see just how high hair can go.
It's kind of nice to see a more happier documentary even though Marie Antoinette's life was so tragic. She was just a young pretty girl plopped into the chaos of royal life. It really wasn't her fault.
I haven't a clue how I got here but so glad I did lol. very informative.. i really enjoyed this. thanks!!
P La I totally agree
You know exactly how you got here...you clicked on it.
I just let this auto play because I was too lazy to look for another video yet somehow, I still became invested in this. Its quite interesting actually seeing how this avantgarde style of hair came about.
It's amazing how hair defined decades and different cultures.
What a terrific commercial! The story of the history of hairific dos with a plug for Will Basheres three books about Marie Antoinette at the end. History nut that I am, I must now read those books!!!
Wow! I guess I always assumed these hair-do's were exaggerated! Very fascinating!
This was a very interesting video! I had no idea how Leonard Autie created such high hairdo's! Going to look for the books to read!
I like history
A high quality youtube clip..thank you:)
Thank you for this video it is great I love history especially when it’s about Marie Antoinette and fashion ❤️👑we might not know where she is resting but her legacy lives forever #longlivethequeen
Ahhh, and what a grand and lovely head she presented...Although very outlandish with extreme lavish-hairstyles...How sad, the true end of Marie Antoinette...Yet, she left us behind a rich heritage. Thank you for sharing.
Beautifully done! Thankyou I've always been fascinated with pre revolutionary French fashion -especially the hairstyles. Excellent film I really enjoyed it.

There is also a book about her parfumier, but I forget the name!

What a wonderful review of this amazing book... we certainly are strange creatures ( I mean humans as a whole: foolish, envious, vain, and so silly)
I truly enjoyed learning about her hairdresser as much as I have enjoyed learning about Rose Bertin. The people behind the icon.
This is awesome, love this kind of stuff 💜
