Pas op met zwemmen in zee bij Rethimnon. Ieder jaar verdrinken hier mensen vanwege de extreem gevaarlijke onderstroom. Wij hebben in 2004-2005 in Provarma/ Stilos gewoond. Onze Engelse buurman ( Jerry) heeft zijn vriend zien verdrinken toen hij van de boot dook en de onderstroom hem de diepte introk.
