I can see the pain, mixed with severe fear in his eyes. This man suffered a lot, not only physically, but mentally aswell. I am glad you are well, sir and I am glad you met the right doc :)
Aww, bless. That poor guy, having anxiety worsened by unprofessional doctors, especially to a point where he wears a mask & has a fear of contracting the plague! Dr Lee is the best I’ve seen, though & always knows how to ease the anxieties of her patients. If anyone can help this man, she can. 🥺❤️👩🏻⚕️
Well, there IS a pandemic..his concerns are quite valid. In Canada we still wear masks in doctors and dentist offices and in any store, at least here in BC.
*@AspieGirlArianaHale* I've heard you are Asperger, mine is ASD high function borderline :) *@Vicki1930* I'm sorry it might sound weird and out of context, but I want to say I love 🇨🇦 I'm from Indonesia 😊
She did a fantastic job at trying to put him at ease. He was obviously quite anxious and had had bad experiences in the last with DRs. I'm glad she could help him.
This clip is several years old. Can’t imagine how he has reacted with the virus since 2020. This lump is quite horrific and I am surprised he has never had sepsis and still has his arm.
@@Cindy99765 can’t be certain as we have all lost so much time, but I’m sure it was about 2019 when shown in UK. The masks they wear are as standard for a case like this and he wasn’t met outside in the car park tent, so think it was in the “good old days”. I also recall the programme showing him outside with his friend, smoking his head off- so for somebody so concerned about germs and illness he was doing a good job of being one himself especially as he needs a dentist too.
My doctor sent me to a wound specialist that cleaned out my wounds every week. The specialist kept insisting they weren't healing because I had blood clots removed after having covid, so it must be circulation issues. After 8 months wth no improvement, they finally sent me to a dermatologist who diagnosed me with pyoderma gangrenosum, a rare skin disease.
And the moment she asks how he's doing and he responds with a deep voice "I am"? 🥺 One could think of it as a vague answer, but it sounded so conscious about the stillness of his suffering to me 😭💔
Well done, sir. You dealt with that so bravely. Dr Lee put you at ease with her caring approach to your "chip." Thank you for allowing Dr Lee to post this.
I am so glad that the ‘chip’ was not cancer. I am happy that he had a good experience with a doctor you could tell that he was disappointed that he didn’t get it removed the first visit.
You did an awesome job working with his anxiety and fears. Poor man.... I understand where he is coming from and feel very badly for him but am glad he finally got the help he was seeking. You have a true gift of an amazing bedside manner. Maybe you realize it and maybe you don't, but the way you speak to your patients puts them at ease. You have a soft constant voice with a lot of understanding. That goes a lot farther than you know.
The whole time watching this, I was wondering how he was coping through the pandemic. That poor man! I hope he is ok and was able to get his vaccine shots!
Watched a few of Lees Pimple Poppers shows, shes brilliant, very positive an reassuring an always deals with the cause aswell as the symptoms. Always talks t the patient an if cant help , diagnosis is passed t outside orgs and she never leaves anything t chance
Leonard definitely seems to suffer from some anxiety-related condition. I have a feeling that this affects more than just visits to the doctor. Hopefully after this he can also get some help with the rest of what's going on, because it's not great for quality of life in general. It closes a lot of doors. And I'm always amazed by the thoughtfulness and compassion of medical professionals. Dr. Lee assures the patient that she will take certain precautions to avoid the spread of infectious disease. What she's doing here goes beyond just understanding a patient's concerns. She's empathizing, within their mindset, and working on a solution and a way of communication that will alleviate the patient's concerns to some degree. I can't stress enough the value of this kind of communication and forethought. It's not just that it addresses the patient's concerns. It's also essentially communicating, "I see you, I understand you, I accept you. Your concerns are valid and I will keep those in mind as I help you with this medical concern." People with such concerns usually don't go around telling everyone about them. They can even feel embarrassed about them. And it's so important in a medical setting to make the patient feel less embarrassed in embarrassing situations, because embarrassing situations are often part of getting medical help. Nudity is an obvious one, but there's so much more. And the good medical professionals have a way of alleviating that, to some degree. It's so, so important. At 8:19 - I was thinking, "Instead of the doctor holding it, wouldn't it be nice if the patient had some gloves on and could feel it for himself." And then we cut to a different angle, and that's already what's happening! What a cool experience it must be to hold and see the thing that has been hurting you, and then to ultimately physically let go of it. A rare opportunity.
Praise God he finally got his relief. We all can relate how frustrating & depression it is to keep wasting money on doctors that don't know what the hell they are doing!!
@@QuimBeeLivingstone He is also afraid of doctors. He kept saying all doctors are quacks. Dr. Lee also said she was being very careful not to say something that will trigger him. At the end he said that dr Lee will be the only doctor he will ever see…
Doctors are no gods, they are regular people like the rest of us. And one bad experience is for some people enough to be afraid for "eternity". And they usually seek help when it is almost (or is) too late. Phobia/anxiety is a severe condition and imagine if people who are experiencing it face a doctor with different/ill approach. They either don´t return, seek help elsewhere or resignate entirely.
Defo to do with phobias, anxiety, self motivation and self esteem. With my situation its being misdiagnosed on several occasions and having to go private.
I can attest to this. I had a horrible experience with a dentist two years ago. Most are great but it only takes one bad experience to ruin those positive relationships.

O que isso tem a ver??? Ele é apenas uma pessoa consciente e sabe que tem que se usar máscara durante a pandemia
Dr. Lee, you did such an amazing job dealing with his anxiety. His happy attitude at the end put a big smile on my face.
She did a fantastic job at trying to put him at ease. He was obviously quite anxious and had had bad experiences in the last with DRs. I'm glad she could help him.
The conundrum is this guy has a phobia of germs but a lot of people would see his arm and avoid him like he's contagious
isn't that crazy!
It’s not polite but I could easily see a room instantly clearing out at the sight of it.
Pretty ironic innit
He said that it smells really bad, so that may be why people avoid him
He's contagious for sure.
