- flyafrica morning flight Z7-120 with Chief Training Captain Rob Waghorn and Senior First Officer Kurai Kuimba doing the flying. Flight starts at the gate in the cockpit with checks and then taxi to runway 03L at OR Tambo in Johannesburg and ends just a few seconds after take-off, watch part 2 for the landing in Harare.
proud of our own son
What is his name?
Respect for all the Pilots !
Classic analogs are part of the good old days.
Unashamedly proud of our Son😭🙏🏾
Currently flying this airplane, not as fancy as the G550 or 737NG, but it's a wonderful airplane to fly.
If it ain't a BOEING (or Gulfstream), I damn sure aint going !!!
Woow that is classic
love the confidence dude
I miss the B737CL, was my first type for 8 years. now the A320, i only taxi and she fly lol
Capt. Shock-Ray then go for the B738:)
Capt. Shock-Ray A320 aka Nintendo Jet :)
Nintendo ??? Why??
The only thing that scares me on an Airbus is the possibility of contradictory dual inputs during a critical phase of flight ;)

Wow.very nice takeoff.... good luck Capitan.... wonderful 😊
Fantastic video!
Great video.
first officer looks a little nervous, is it cos he was flying with a training captain? ??
indeed lol, I,m also thinking the same
you bet
No, he’s afraid the Captain is going to slap 👋 him with his glove. 🧤. Lmao! 😆
Flying with Makewa. Great to see the Collabotation. Well done 1st Officer.
chief training captain appears bored during the preflight briefing
I'd fly with them. Great video.
What led to the demise of FlyAfrica, is there any hope of resumption of flights?
Nice steam gauges 👍
Nice job!
Wonderfull!!!
pretty sure that's a 737-200 - the 500 had the more modern cockpit.
sorry - totally wrong ... thought the engine indicators old-style weren't available on the 500.
James Waters Definitely a B735 not a 200.
Wrong. It's absolutely a 737-500
Boeing Legend 😅
How did you get to sit in the cockpit during the flight?
Harry Wilburn he was the captain i think
The owner of this channel Matipedza Karase was Fly Africa country manager in Zimbabwe. so i guess he was the one who shot the video
whats with the gloves sir
aren't they supposed to communicate speed and rotation on take off? Weird.
I think I hear the captain call it but it's VERY soft.
crm? callouts?
And it all goes horribly wrong when this crank slips on a pair of gloves. I kept watching to see if he also threw on a scarf as well. What a tool.
C L Thomas haha! You a funny guy.
Nothing at all wrong with wearing gloves. He's a great pilot with a wealth of knowledge and 17000 plus hours to back it up.
I bet he has a better job than you though.
@@ronaldngadze9037 , funny how everyone focuses on the gloves! Really, that's the take away? Enjoy flying with them buddy :)
@@tristanstroud-caules5802 Indeed man. Great to hear from you. How's it going up north?
what's with the captain's gloves?
Booya He just enjoys flying with the gloves
probably military trained - all the 707 guys I flew with in the 70s wore gloves
Fire proof gloves by the looks of it, like Cool Yajets said he was probably air force trained.
Maybe because of sweating palms? Or better grip?
@@someone-nk6jv must be tough rolling those steel balls around with them on.
This video recommended after sj183 crashed Rip
Feckin awesome
what happened to fly afric.........
gloves? FFS......that went out with WW2
Diane Omahony Used to slap the First Officer with.
Keeps the hands clean
Yes, What is the reason that is the “Captain” using gloves?
It's a sterile cockpit, can't you see.....
either hes ex-air foce and used to the feel, or he has sweaty hands and uses them for grip, or its an optional part of the uniform (e.g. Japan).
2 years later.... Why isn't the FO wearing gloves.
Thanks covid.
Lovely stuff right there
737-500 got digital gauges. This is probably one 737-300
early models had dials, even the DC9/MD80 has a similar story (having certain aircraft with dials or digital readings).
Wrong. It's absolutely a 737-500
No this is a 737-500. All Boeing 737 Classic series has different cockpit options. This one with CRT monitors and some analog gauges is one of the cockpit options.
Nigerian 737?
Steve Wright No Zimbabwean registered B735 Z-FAA
LOL, non Japanese guy wearing gloves. This guy is an oddball. Seems like a safety conscious pilot though. We had a guy at ExpressJet who would wear gloves too. LOL
Gloves in a 737...what a nob
Old locomotive from Africa ! The Cap. Is tired of flying this bird ! Too old baby !
Get 737 NG
😜🙉
this is not a 737-500 it's a 737-300
DKG its definitely a Boeing 735 Reg Z-FAA
I see that it's not 737-500 because the engine displays are diffrent than 737-400, they are more analog in this plane like in 737-300
DKG I won't argue with you but trace the history of the aircraft... Formally Czech Airlines, now Z-FAA #justsaying
Wrong. It's absolutely a 737-500
Gloves to fly a 737 ????Where do you think you're going Captain????? kkkkkkkkkkkk
Fighter pilot flying gloves in a Boeing....NOB.
Around the world is too hard you see a black person riding an aircraft. I guess that its because of the social conditional between blacks and whites. To you make a pilot course you need expand a lot money paying the flight hours.
