In these walkthrough videos I show how to complete all Side-Missions as well as point out the locations of all unlockables (hidden characters, alternate costumes etc).
Mortal Kombat : Deception is my personal favourite '3D' Mortal Kombat game. Released in 2004, two years after Deadly Alliance, this game delivers in both quality AND quantity.
The game contains an abundance of 'Kontent'. Not only do we have the traditional one-on-one fighting modes; this game also contains 'Chess Kombat' & 'Puzzle Kombat', two excellent new additions.
Also, Konquest mode makes a return from Deadly Alliance, although here it is a full-blown RPG set in the Mortal Kombat universe. It is the main reason why Deception is my favourite '3D' Mortal Kombat game.
A MUST own game for Mortal Kombat fans.

How can Shujinko's life be so painfully pointless? He spent 10 years of his life just to be told it wasn't a good a idea only after he has already spent them. That is so messed up. Why does Raiden go along with the whole champion thing? Shouldn't he be more suspicious?!

Have the might of 10 warriors and fight with his eyes closed. That's EXACTLY what Shujinko IS.
The armored look is my favorite for Shujinko. I really wish they had it as an alternate costume.

If I remember correctly, Ermac was the one who taught Kenshi how to use his telekinetic abilities.
then this leads to a plot hole because When Shujinko meets Kenshi it's suppose to be around the time of Mortal kombat 1(1992) and Ermac was still evil at that time. and another plot is that shang tsung is young during his meeting with Shujinko,when he is suppose to be elderly since this part of konquest mode is suppose to be centered around the first MK.
Nope. He just taught him the slam. Kenshi's telekinetic powers come from his sword.

3 hours? I remember it took me like maybe 5-6 attempts and believe me I sucked at this game as I was more than familiar with the 2D games at the time. Not gonna lie tho, this game has other stuff that really took me hours to complete like fight challenge crap.

The reason for the four times being done is that the number 4 is actually sacred to us Native Americans, or at least most of us. It represents each direction of life’s circle. A brief, subtle but cool homage to Natives done by MK which I loved noticing.

the number 4 is a very important number in native american culture, I guess doing the attacks 4 times was some kind of allusion to that, as well as the "spider web" mention and the importance of the spider grandmother, and important figure in their mythology
You’re forgetting an important detail, Kenshi learned his telekinetic abilities thanks to Ermac, who Kenshi freed from Shao Kahn’s control

Watching this series again now that I'm an adult, I see what people mean when they talk about Shujinko being incredibly gullible. I think I like him despite that gullibility because this mode allows you to see him grow and get wiser as time goes on
Man what I wouldnt give for him to be playable again though. Sure hes a Kameo fighter in MK1 but it's just not the same. I also understand that the copy gimmick is Shang's thing, but I really like how Shujinko is very much like a good Shang Tsung

***** I have uploaded part one of me playing Mk2 on the PlayStation 2. It does not have the best quality, but I think the gameplay turned out well.
This game really makes no sense lol, how come sujinko (however its spelled lol) ages but everyone else stays the same? Im pretty sure most the fighters in the game, earthrealm especially should be like the same age as he is

Most Earthrealm warriors were blessed by the Elder Gods to never age.
And most people in Outworld/Netherrealm are over 5,000 years old.
Yeah, they didn't really plan out the whole aging thing.
@@codafett the start of shujinko's quest in konquest mode is suppose to take place many years before the events of Mortal kombat 1 then continues onward from deadly alliance then leads up to the cinematic intro we saw in deception.
,the events of shujinko training with bo rai cho,to joining the lin kuai,his first journey to the nethrrealm in search for the netherrealm kamidogu,his search in the chaosrealm,the whole outworld and seido conflict between shao kahn and over lord zafeero,and shujinko training with nightwolf is all suppose to take before mortal kombat 1.
the timeline does get fucked up however,i'll explain why.
after shujinko's many years of training with nightwolf is finished,then that's when mortal kombat 1 is suppose to take place,when shujinko leaves to go the netherrealm again after demashi redirects him back. the events of mortal kombat 1-3 are already done by that point and we're near the aftermath of MK4, shujinko meets scorpion in the netherrealm who is already hunting down quan chi after finding out he murdered his family and clan(this takes place after scorpion's mortal kombat 4 ending ),shujinko helps scorpion defeat quan chi. the reason why the timeline is fucked up is because originally deception's story was suppose to have time travel elements in it,but the development team decided to drop the idea and they made the mistake of not fixing the consistency of the timeline,that's why when after shujinko leaves the netherrealm, to go back to the nexus,quan chi has already escaped from there forming his alliance with shang tsung and killing liu kang,despite having shujinko already just encountering quan chi in the netherrealm not a few minutes before.
@@GhostFan-ev4di Besides Shujinko travelled to many realms and even lived for untold decades in Seido, so maybe his long life in these realms have made him age much more quickly than others, not to mention the Chaotic water that made him age faster.

I am trying to move a long with Kenshi right now and that long branching combo (Triple triangle, L1, circle, L1 Triangle, double x) is throwing me off. Whenever I try to do it, I either am one button off or don't connect with the style branch and it causes me to scream at the screen. I always seem to do it with each new training session I tend to do do with characters. I don't know what but it just bothers me. :( Any suggestions for help in that regard?

It just occurred to me that Nightwolf uses "val tudo" which I assume is from vale tudo, a brazillian term for free style fighting, and tae kwon do, a south korea sports martial art. Fitting for a native American shaman.

theoretically kenshi has been in more installments, I feel he is more original than ermac and use him more.
And you are correct Kenshi is "nerfed" on deception, if you play deadly aliance you'll notice that he do more damage than here

GSTAR there is a kung lao side quest i think you have missed just saying from one completionist to another
Excuse this late comment but, Kung Lao only appears after completing Konquest Mode (Only if you successfully gain membership from the White Lotus) MrGSTAR321 does do that side quest in his final video for this mode. I can confirm this because all of the times that I played through Konquest Mode, he only ever appears after completing the mode. :)

Wait a second: If Raiden is an Elder God, if Shujinko is the "Champion Of The Elder Gods" wouldn't the Elder Gods inform Raiden? Wouldn't Raiden be the one to grant Shujinko the title "Champion of the Elder Gods" hmmmm...
Raiden is not an Elder God, he is a normal god. There was only one part in MK 4 where he ascended to Elder God status but threw it away when he went to stop the Deadly Alliance so unless I am missing something, he wouldn't be an Elder God at the point Shujinko talks to him, he likely wouldn't even be on Earth Realm.
when i was a kid and playing this on the gamecube, i COULD NEVER get past learning from kenshi, i just couldnt do the damn combos so i never got to finish konquest

The same reason why you fight Reptile in MK1 and Jade in MK2. Just extras. Jax is in here too but you have to get a psp and MK unchained in order to play as him. :|
