"Just lower the hood." I love it. I'm going to do both my W108 cars very soon. Thank you, John.

@@mercedesmaintenance.6339 I don't think so. One reason I enjoy making videos and especially in the editing is that I notice something I could have done differently or had not seen before. Viewers do too. For example, I did not notice the front hood emblem on my 1954 Chevy was on upside down. How embarrassing. It is now on correctly. Cheers to your too, John.

Roasted...also in the Netherlands...🥵 good to see you do that. I just did my car also, altough much younger (2011) sure needed claening there and fitting a new cover plate of plastic..and also cleared all the drainholes. Good to see you have the same "eye" for that like I do... thanks.

Hey John, I was just thinking as I watched this …….. your wife probably thinks you are mad 😀 and then you said what you did.
You should try get her do a cameo appearance some day.
Was also saying to myself ……. Don’t go crazy on this right now, you have so much work underway on the other car. Better save this for another time. Yes, London is getting roasted at the moment and they are definitely not equipped to deal with such heat. I have relatives in Ireland and Wales who are suffering much the same as the UK.

I'll see if she's up for that:) I do have a lot of work ahead of me , that's true. But I still like to keep up on the maintenance on the other two. I really enjoy it and its much better than watching TV:) I am actually working on the next welding video for the 6.3. The rear wheel arch has some very poorly done patches that I'm repairing. Thanks again Peter. Cheers John

Great little video John, always appreciate how thorough you are. Yeah it’s been hot for a few days over here but you know it won’t last. Just another thing to whine about for everyone without something better to do it seems to me. “Not so bad” really :)

Hi John, hope all is well. Great video as always very informative and inspiring. If I may, could you point me to the video you discuss the choice you made for the welding machine? Also, whatever happened to your 107? I remember you had an issue with the cluster etc, and you were getting ready to sell. Also, I am looking forward to the timing chain replacement on the 4.5 that you mentioned. Curious where you will procure the parts. Lastly, do you or anyone knows where the sunroof seals for the 108 and C107 can be found, I suspect they are the same but now hard to find. Cheers from Orlando, FL.

Hi Frank. As far as the welding machine. To be honest I don't remember which specific video where I discuss the choice. But I will tell you that I have been very impressed with the performance and value for money compared to more expensive units. I bought the Titanium 170 from Harbor freight. It is capable of 110 and 220. Throughout all my projects I have only ran 110 and its worked great. If your looking for a multi purpose machine that can do tig welding too, they have the titanium multi machine for about 800. If I were buying again I would go for that. Not that I need to do a lot of tig welding, but it would be a nice addition. Funny you should mention the 107. Its at my mechanics shop. He is trying to get it through smog certification for me. We had a little trouble locating a catalytic convertor. One is on order now. The cluster has been fixed and various other issues I have taken care of. Injectors, fuel compensator, battery, brakes etc I hope to have it back soon to finish off and to get ready for sale. I was just telling my wife tonight I want to make a very detailed video on that to help it sell. As far as the seals are concerned I would first try the Classic center here in California. Or post up on our facebook group and ask on there.
      Take care Frank. Cheers John.

I forgot to mention the timing chain. I do intend doing that video later this year. I will go into a lot detail on that. I know i won't be changing the guide rails as my 4.5 has steel ones,, not the plastic. Ill probably buy from the clasdic center in So Cal. Also the subframe mounts and engine mounts need doing very soon.
      Cheers John.
