I love these videos! I have coached youth football/soccer for many years. I currently coach U14. I started coaching with the "name your recreational league" website drills and I found them to be really bad. Their notion is that you either focus on individual development or tactical development, not both, so the drills are incredibly devoid of tactical IQ, and typically have little relevance to an actual game. Over the years, I ditched those mostly unopposed drills with cones for teaching kids the individual development while they are engaged in tactical learning. Kids are very much able to learn by taking the material like what you are showing here and turning it into fun drills. I take material like this, pare it down for a smaller number of players (We typically get around 9 or 10 of the 14 total players at any given practice), and turn it into a game where both sides can score. One way I do this is to give the players multiple mini goals that reward the desired actions from both sides. For example, the defense might have several mini goals on the sidelines. They can "clear" the ball while scoring on the side.

Mate coaching is all about preference, there’s no right or wrong way to coach. Drills etc depends on you and your team or club. Good coaches find balance. Don’t slight a drill or places for drills appreciate someone is to share
